Elma's POV:
We received an early morning call from mother; she had bought our plane tickets and requested that we return immediately.
My guess was that she read the letter I placed on her bed. We had already arrived in New York, and Anthony kept frowning at me because I refused to talk about what transpired between us last night.
"Why did I do it?" I cursed myself for letting him have his way with me, and now he even wants to talk about it.
"Mother, you and father haven't shared a word since. What happened? Is it because he ruined your date?" Kim asked, and I shook my head in denial.
"He wants to talk about irrelevant things, and I am not in the mood."
"Irrelevant? Is that what you call it?"
"Yes, it was irrelevant and uncalled for. So just forget what happened."
The car pulled into the mansion at the same time as Jacob's car; did Mother also call for them?
