A Lingerie

Sarah's POV:

Looking at Kim, all I could see in her eyes was hate for her mother. Did Elma know about this?

"Kim, go join your friends," Anthony said, and she scoffed.

"Of course," she said, then turned on her heels and left.

"Let's talk outside," Anthony suggested, and I shook my head nervously. I didn't have anything to talk about with him. Being Elma was so hard; I don't think I can continue with this. She was a very bad person.

"Come," he insisted, and I had no choice but to stand up and follow him. When we got to the center of the room, the spotlight was on us, and everyone turned their attention towards us.

"It's our pleasure to let the Wistold couple open the dance floor," a lady from the stage said, and my eyes widened in shock. I don't know how to dance.

"Let's do this and get out of here," Anthony whispered before extending his hand to me.

"I can't dance," I whispered to him, and he frowned.

Seeing everyone's gaze on me, I had no choice but to accept his hand. He placed the other hand around my waist, and I didn't know what to do, but from what I saw on TV, The lady's hand was always on the man's shoulder.

Anthony's shoulder was so strong; he had such a superb physique. I shook the thought away when the music started.

"I don't feel well," I said, then he adjusted his leg in front, but I didn't, so he tipped on my foot.

"Ouch," I winced in pain, and then everyone kept looking at us.

"What are you doing?" he asked angrily, and I had an apologetic look.

I didn't know how to dance, and then, to my surprise, he pulled me in for a hug. I was so close to him with our bodies touching each other.

His scent was the best thing I ever smelled, since I was in his arms, he could make us both sync to the music.

"To the left," he whispered, and we both swirled to the left. "Right."

Then we moved to the right; he kept telling me how to move, and I smiled. He was an excellent teacher. "Be ready," he whispered. I couldn't comprehend what he said.

He jogged me from him before spinning me around, and I lost my balance and was about to fall when he caught me, and everyone clapped.

"That's outstanding,"

"I felt chills from here."

"Let's dance as well."

The dance floor was filled with other parents; some danced with their kids, and it was lovely. We never had such a gathering in my school; it was lovely witnessing this.

"Snap out and come with me," Anthony said, and I pouted. He couldn't let me think about good things for once.

We both walked out of the hall and got to the corridor. I looked around and noticed classrooms; oh, this was Kim's school.

"What happened at your parent's place?" he questioned right away.

"You lied to me; your mom isn't ill," he stated. How did he find out?

"It was just a guess, but from the look on your face, it's obvious I am right."

"What do you want?" Is this how stressful Elma's life is in a day? It's like the time was stagnant; I just want to go back and lock myself in Elma's bedroom.

"Tell me what happened at your parent's place."

"You and Elma are getting a divorce; why do you even care?" I asked angrily, and he raised a brow.

That's when I realized what I just said. I cleared my throat. "I mean, why do you care about what happened at my parents' place? We are getting a divorce."

"Did you forget about our conversation last week?"

What conversation? And hello, last week I was still Sarah.

"I see you made your decision," he said, then walked away.

*

The next morning, I woke up with a headache. Luckily, it was Sunday, and Elma told me it was the day she stayed in her room to sleep and watch a movie.

Then my phone rang; it was Elma. I was so tired yesterday that I didn't call her. I picked up the call quickly before jumping down the bed.

"What type of life are you living, Elma Wistold?" I said angrily. I got slapped yesterday, so what next am I to expect? Get killed?

"Hey, calm down... I should be the angry one here because you humiliated me yesterday with that ugly hairstyle and your cheeks. Who hit you?"

"Your dad, you should have warned me," I sneered.

"Well, I didn't call to talk about problems... I bought something for myself, and it's going to look so nice on me," she said happily, and I clenched the phone, ready to hang up.

"So I sent it to you; the delivery person should have arrived by now. I also sent flowers to myself; I deserve all the love."

"One minute..." I tried to understand her words.

"When you say yourself, do you mean me?" I questioned her, and she agreed.

"You sent me clothes and flowers?" I asked again.

"Yes, I will tell you when to wear it, so just keep them in the closet," she explained, and I put on my slippers and the nightwear jacket before rushing out of the room.

Standing upstairs, I could see Anthony opening some packages in the sitting room alone.

"Hey!" I yelled before rushing downstairs. I got closer and noticed a bouquet and some bags.

"Good morning," he said sarcastically before holding a red cloth; it was lingerie, and then he held a note.

"This will look nice on you; I will let you know when to put it on. '' He read it out loud, and I couldn't believe how stupid Elma was; she was a beauty with no brains.

"Give me that." I tried snatching the red lingerie from him, but he placed it behind him.

"What is this?" He raised his brow, then he took out the second package, and I used this as an opportunity to snatch the lingerie.

"Oh, here is another note," he said, and the other package contained something worse. It was a classic bra.

"And this will hold that bosom of yours perfectly, a work of great art. That's what you are." He read it out aloud. Does Elma love herself so much that she will write such things to herself?

Now that I remember, I forgot to check Elma's medical reports. She was a crazy person.
