Ezra's nose picked up something and he smiled then he immediately vanished from his spot
Inside the forest, Arthur was casually slaughtering all types of monster beasts, a single slash of his cleaver cleanly cut the monsters in half
*Ding! Ding! Ding! * the system prompt were going crazy
Arthur stood on top of a tree, his cleavers dangling from his waist. The moonlight casting a shadow on Arthur's face, covering his body in darkness, only his eyes glowed with a menacing red light.
The ground under the forest was filled with numerous monsters corpses.
"Time to go back" Arthur murmured and folded a one handed hand seal
"Shunshin" Arthur vanished from the tree top
instilling the night with an eerie silence
Inside the cave
Arthur looked at Ezra who was peacefully sleeping and snoring loudly
'He is sleeping quite peacefully' Arthur smiled and remembered Ezra's previous behaviors 'He was impatient and frantic, his entire personality took a 360 degree turn after he remembered his past' Arthur thought
'Let's hope that he returns back to normal'
Morning came and the sunlight entered the cave
"Morning" a familiar voice greeted Arthur,
He turned around and saw Ezra smiling at him.
"Morning" Arthur replied and stretched his body a bit
"Here, have some fruits" Ezra handed Arthur a handful of blueberry looking fruits
"Thanks" Arthur took them and search it through encyclopedia

"When did you get these? " Arthur asked while munching down the fruits
"Yesterday night " Ezra smiled at Arthur
"You making breakfast? that's definitely weird" Arthur laughed and they exchanged some small talks
"Arthur, I dreamed of my past again" Ezra suddenly brought up this topic and seeing Arthur serious gaze, Ezra got up and bowed a little
"Let me reintroduce myself, my name is Ezra, Ezra yoorm"
Ezra then continued narrating his entire dream
"How did you survive? " Arthur asked in confusion "Weren't you surrounded? "
"I have no idea " Ezra smiled and Arthur didn't asked any further since he didn't wanted Ezra to remember another unfortunate event.
After eating for a bit, both of them got up, ready for their journey ahead.
"So where's the key? " Arthur asked to which Ezra responded excitedly "Follow me! " and he jumped off leaving Arthur behind, Arthur also quickly followed him.
After 6 minutes, they came across a pungent smelling area, Arthur looked down from the tree and spotted numerous grey wolves. He looked closer and saw peculiar bite marks on them.
"What's wrong? " Ezra asked to which Arthur just shrugged "Nothing, let's get going"
Arthur and Ezra kept on running for multiple hours, as the hours kept on ticking by, the sun started setting, Arthur's anxiety kept on increasing. Something was wrong, he could feel it but couldn't understand it, maybe it was his six sense.
They soon entered a bamboo forest
'Today marks the end of this week, by the system's calculation, the demonic cultivator will be done cultivating by tonight' Arthur was lost in his thought when he heard Ezra's
ecstatic voice
"It's here!!! " Ezra shouted with a weird expression
"Hahaha" Ezra started laughing frantically
Arthur could notice Ezra picking up a bronze key.
"Ezra" fearing for Ezra's mental health, Arthur tried to call out to him but his vision was distracted by a brown figure that was lying on the side of a bamboo tree.
Arthur approached it and it turned out to be a decomposing corpse,
' Probably one of the escort member ' Arthur pressed his nose to block of the smell and was about to leave when he noticed a metallic object around the corpse's neck. Arthur examined it and just stood there motionless
"Hey Ezra" Arthur asked
"Yes? " Ezra replied
"What's your last name? " Arthur asked again
"Yoorm, why do you ask? " Ezra replied
"Where did you say you were yesterday night?" Arthur continued his questions
"To collect fruits? " Ezra replied puzzled
"Why were they human teeth marks on the grey wolves? did you eat them? " Arthur asked slowly, Ezra didn't respond
"Final question" Arthur picked up the metallic object which was a pendent from the corpse's neck and slowly stood up
"Why does this body has a pendent with the name Ezra on it! " Arthur asked, his tone grave
"KEKEKEKEKEKEKE" a hoarse voice completely different from Erza's replied eerily
"You got me! "
