The Unspoken Truth

A solid, titanium door slowly opened, bringing in light from the morning sun. Liz sat up in her bed as a man walked into her room, holding a steaming hot plate of scrambled eggs, a pancake and a cup of apple juice.

"When will I go back home to mama and papa? I wanna go..." Liz whined.

"You'll go back when they find you, I promise. Like I said, I'm not going to hurt you, I'm only using you to get to him."

The man put the plate in front of her, kneeling down and holding a fork out, Liz reluctantly took it from him.

"I don't expect you to understand, but your papa isn't all that he seems... Our papa, I should say."

Liz tilted her head, "Huh?"

"Truth be told, I'm your oldest brother, Aizen Leonidus. Your old man wasn't ready to have a kid, so... He got rid of me. My adoptive parents found me right on their front doorstep, thankfully they weren't the scum of the Earth. Albeit it was a modest life, I couldn't help but think that I was different from my parents, at the time I was confused why I didn't have the same Quirk as them. The kids that I went to school with made fun of me for it, saying that my mother cheated on my father, then I found him. Everything about our father was exactly the same as me, and I hated that."

Aizen looked at the pocket watch in his hand, "When I found out about Alyx, something about him intrigued me, and I wanted to know more. The day he first used Gear One was the most interesting, I've never seen him use his anger before like that, which is why you're here. I'm sorry about all of this, but petty threats weren't going to cut it. You'll get back home soon, that much I'm certain of, at least I hope."

"Aizen," Liz spoke up, "Papa really did that to you?"

"I'd be lying if I reassured you that he was a good man, but he did. However you feel about your father after this is none of my concern, I only want to spread the truth about him, about what he's done to everyone. All I ask is that people take what I have to say into consideration, that our father isn't all that he seems."

Liz's gaze wondered over to the pocket watch, she noticed the small picture of Aizen and his adoptive family, smiling happily.

"You don't have a papa and mama anymore, do you? Did they go away too?" Liz questioned.

"Yeah, they did."

Liz hugged Aizen, which surprised him a bit, but he welcomed the gesture. Outside of the large base was a Shield Family Drone, taking note of the structure and scanning the entire area. Melissa Shield had been working tirelessly alongside her father to find Liz, but they finally had a breakthrough. Unusual heat signatures came up on the drone's scan of the abandoned military base.

"That's a lot of heat, it's almost as if someone's living there... Hey, dad, isn't this the Nekoma Pyramid in North Dakota?" Melissa pondered.

David walked over to the computer, "Yeah, that is, it's been abandoned for almost 100 years now. Judging by the heat signatures, it's fully powered and operational, someone must be living there. Let's send this to the others back in Japan and America."

In Japan, the search for Liz had came to an unfortunate close, nobody could find her. The entire country and been turned upside down for weeks on end, with no sign of Lizzie Leonidus, the Leonidus family started to become desperate. Alyx would arrive at the dorms early in the morning after staying up all night, still holding onto hope that Liz was still somewhere in the country. Eventually, it was just Alyx that still scoured the cities for her. One evening, Annie found her brother sitting on a rooftop that overlooked most of Okazaki.

"Alyx? Don't you have school tomorrow?" Annie wondered.

"Don't you have another family member to abandon?"

Annie looked a bit surprised at his answer, "What? What are you saying?"

"I've tried talking to you about this, but those little rendezvous with Hawks must've been more important. Why do you guys brush me off? It always leads back to my Quirks, always. What I meant by that was it's funny how Liz is still out there, yet all of you have given up looking for her, except you all just gave up on me as soon as I was framed."

"We never gave up on you, Alyx. Arlen disguised himself as you before acting like he was running away from U.A. This situation is the exact same as that, we couldn't track you."

"But did anyone look for me afterwards? Like how we're doing with Liz?"

She sat down next to him, "I did. I did what you're doing now. Those times I was with Keigo? I was trying not to breakdown over this situation because of what you just said, I don't want the same thing to happen either. She's out there, but we don't have answers, I've been hopeful that we will."

Alyx sat there quietly, Annie patted his back, exhaling tiredly as she stared out towards the city with him. As the days rolled on, Aizawa noticed the rapid decline in the quality of his work at school, dropping down to the bottom of his class. Shota kept him after class one afternoon, noticing the rugged, overwhelmingly tired look on his student's face.

"You looked more tired than I ever could, that's a problem, Alyx. You've been looking for your sister, haven't you?"

"I just... She has to be somewhere, Mr. Aizawa. What if she's getting tortured by this guy? I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off at this point, I've got nothing to go off of, nothing! What else am I supposed to do? I don't want to lose my little sister, I don't!" Alyx sniffled.

"Alyx, you have to trust that she's alright, that's a hard thing to do right now, but it's something that must be done. Without a doubt, he would've made himself known if your sister was killed. If this guy is related to you, then who knows how far he went with her, he could be anywhere. I promise you, we'll find her no matter the cost."

Aizawa got up from his desk and motioned for Alyx to walk with him. The two left the classroom and headed towards the exit.

"Could you promise me something," Shota asked, "Get some sleep, would you? I wanna see you fully rested for tomorrow. Got it?"

"Yeah, I promise."

Shota slightly smiled at him before parting ways with him. Leonidus entered Heights Alliance and collapsed onto the floor out of exhaustion. Sero walked over to hear him snoring away.

"Huh, I guess he just couldn't wait to get upstairs." He chuckled.

Kirishima came over to help Sero carry Alyx up to his room. Inside Alyx's mind, his thoughts were festering, his emotions had been bottled up to the point of overflowing. It was only a matter of time before they'd spill out once again. After his collapse, Shoto pulled his phone out to call his father.

"Shoto, my son! How are you?"

"Good. How's the progress coming? Leonidus just collapsed from exhaustion because he's been searching for her nonstop."

"We're still waiting on more scans from the Shield's, I can't say for sure, but I'm hoping we'll get answers soon. The only thing we can do until then is hope for the best but prepare for the worst."

"Very well then, keep me updated."

Todoroki hung up then walked over towards the dormitory doors. Yaoyorozu gazed up from her book towards him.

"Shoto, are you heading out somewhere?"

"No, I'm just thinking, that's all. The more we wait, the more things get complicated."

Mina nodded intently at him, "That's what I'm saying! I wish we could just pinpoint where she's at and beat the hell out of whoever this guy is! But there really isn't much we could do until we get info."

"Regardless, I'm ready to let loose, I've been sitting on my ass for too long." Bakugo chimed in.

"Is your arm doing better, Kacchan? I thought the doctors said it'd take a couple more months before it was fully healed?" Izuku wondered.

"Eh, it'll be just fine. If I break it again I'll just have Alyx heal it up to shape."

Izuku looked down at his phone as it buzzed, seeing that All Might was calling him. He answered it but didn't get a chance to get a word out.

"Young Midoriya, I've got some good news!" All Might exclaimed.

[Two Days Later...]

Endeavor stood in front of Class 2-A alongside Aizawa, Mirko, Best Jeanist, Hawks, and Annie. Behind them was a board with a list of hot spots, each hot spot had a team assigned to it.

"The goal here is simple: we get in, find Lizzie Leonidus, then get out. Whoever it is that kidnapped her is much stronger than what we could ever anticipate if it had Darren stirred up. There's no sense in fighting unless we have to, this is solely a stealth operation. Vanguard, Creati, Shoto, Red Riot, you'll be with me, we're heading to North Dakota. I'll brief you more on the location once we arrive there. Eraser Head, I'll let you take over from here while we depart."

"Woah, we're going already?" Kirishima questioned.

Endeavor glanced over at him, "We can't allow anymore time to slip from our grasps, if they figure out we're tracking them, we'll be too late. Now, if you don't have anymore questions, let get moving."

Momo, Eijiro, Shoto, and Alyx looked over at one another before quickly getting out of their seats. They followed Endeavor out of the school, entering his small sized sedan, Kirishima took up most of the room due to his hero costume.

"Vanguard, you can lower your Heat Energy, right?" Endeavor asked.

"Yes sir, I can do that, why?"

"Just in case he's able to track you. I want to take every precaution necessary in case we do stumble upon trouble. The last thing we need is another All For One incident."

Alyx lowered his Heat Energy as they approached the airport. Endeavor drove past the main entrance to the airport and into a personal hangar. Alyx was the first one to leave the car, marveling over Endeavor's personal jet.

"It's got gold engravings on the side?! Have you thought about giving it a color scheme besides this bleh grey color I mean come on you could always liven this thing up a bit I would love to paint this thing Hatsume let me paint the Monster Plane we developed together last year and-" Alyx rambled on.

Yaoyorozu put her hand over his mouth, "Your excitement is adorable, but now's not the time to custom paint an aircraft!"

The heroes boarded the jet and took off towards America. Alyx stared out of the window, Yaoyorozu noticed the still exhausted expression on his face.

"I just don't want what happened to me to happen to her, that's all."

"I'm still sorry about that, Alyx, I always will be."

"And I can't forgive any of you, Momo. I just can't. There's something inside me that won't allow that to happen. Whether that changes or not, I have no idea."

Momo withdrew herself from the conversation, leaning back over in her chair, Leonidus rested his cheek on the palm of his hand. Alyx peered into her thoughts, waiting for her to think something.

"𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘺." She thought.

Meanwhile, Annie and her group were conducting an investigation in Cairo, Egypt using a portal through the Seventh Plane. Midoriya, Tokoyami, Denki, and Jiro accompanied her as they searched through an old factory.

"You're looking a bit uneasy there, Deku, you alright?" Annie noted.

"Are you sure that Alyx shouldn't have been here with us? My Danger Sense has been going off like crazy whenever I'm around him, ever since we dealt with that Reality Crystal, it's like he's different."

"Are you saying something, Midoriya?" Kaminari chimed in.

"The Quirk I inherited from the Fourth User, it allows me to not only sense threats and malice, but their intent and negative emotions. All I've sensed from him is negativity..." Izuku replied.

Annie didn't respond to him, continuing her search through the desolate factory silently. Izuku quickly ran after her as she disappeared behind a corridor.

"H-Hold on, Fourth Gear!"

As Izuku tried to follow her, back in North Dakota, Endeavor and the heroes finally made a landing after several hours of flying. They met up with Hawks' group on the outskirts of the hot spot, which surprised them.

"What are you doing here? You should be miles up north from here." Endeavor remarked.

"Well, I figured you'd want a hand, I've got a feeling there's more to this place than what meets the eye. Notice these tubes here? Seems as if there's something being transported through them."

Alyx knelt down and touched the rubber tubes, feeling the contents rush through, the tube itself was cold to the touch.

"It's some sort of liquid," Alyx observed, "All of these tubes must be some sort of water supply line, someone must be living here."

Leonidus stood up and stuck his sword into the ground, taking a deep breath in, utilizing his Beast Breathing Style. He sensed the surrounding area and kept his eyes closed, he stood up after a few seconds, placing his sword back in it's sheath.

"There's two people here, I couldn't identify any foreseeable weaknesses in the first one, but the second person..."

Alyx looked over at the pyramid, "...That second person is my sister!"

"If you're correct, then we need to move in, now. Don't get ahead of yourself either, this needs to be a stealth-" Endeavor instructed.

Leonidus ran towards the pyramid within the blink of an eye, Endeavor sighed as he and Hawks' group chased after him. As Alyx made his way to the entrance, he saw that the door was wide open, seeing a faint glimmer in the distance. He entered the abandoned military base, finding that a Pro Hero had searched the entire first floor, but found nothing. There was no indication that the pyramid had an upper floor or lower floor.

"Vanguard? I didn't realize you were here! This is awesome getting to meet yo-" The Pro Hero exulted.

He suddenly stopped speaking, his face frozen with his emotion of joy, Alyx was about to say something until he realized that he couldn't move whatsoever. He looked around the entryway, seeing nothing, hearing absolute silence in the frigid air. The clicking of boots stopped right behind him, his eyes widened as he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Hello there, Vanguard..." Aizen grinned.

He stepped away from Alyx, he tried to muster all of his strength to move, but sat there helplessly as Aizen punched a hole straight through the Pro Hero's heart. Sweat began to drop down Leonidus' face as he tried to think of a way to break out of this situation. Aizen walked over and leaned close towards Alyx's ear.

"Now, now, don't get so nervous. This is only just a... Brotherly spat. I thought you liked sparing with your siblings? Think of this as a test, if you pass, you live. I'll let you go on your merry way with Liz in tow. But fail, and I'll have no choice but to kill you. The game is on, little brother."

Leonidus blinked and found himself in a large chamber, Alyx quickly activated Gear Six, looking around for his older brother. Endeavor and the others rushed into the pyramid, only finding the corpse of the Pro Hero on the floor, his heart laying on top of him.

"Leonidus? Leonidus!" Endeavor called out.

"There has to be some lower floor or somethin'! But it looks like it's just this one area!" Kirishima added.

Selina and Koichi, who were handpicked by Hawks himself, looked at each other as an idea came to their practically unified brains. Meanwhile, in the chamber, Aizen had stepped forward from the darkness. Alyx noticed that he too had a blade, he held it firmly as he tossed his cloak aside.

"Judging from your scent, you haven't fought in months, have you? Don't look surprised, Alyx. Truth be told, I'm everything you 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅'𝒗𝒆 been, the weapon our coward of a father never wanted us to become. Now, unsheathe your Nichirin Blade, and learn the truth of our precious family."

"How do you know that? What did you...?"

A sly smile was all that was needed to answer Alyx's question. He clutched his blade before sailing towards Aizen using his Water Breathing Style's Second Form, clashing against Aizen's sword.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?!" Alyx roared ferociously.

"There it is! That anger you've been hiding inside for years! I bent them to my will, made them show me everything I needed to know. Go on, use that rage you've bottled inside on me, that's what I'm here for, I won't go easy on you!"

Alyx pushed Aizen's blade back, going in for a quick Water Surface Slash, flames erupted from his brother's sword which blasted him backwards. Leonidus slid back against the concrete, reeling his blade backwards as far as possible. A giant, water dragon formed at the base of his sword. Alyx charged towards his brother without a second thought, their blades sparking upon every blow. Water rushed through the cracks in the floor, smaller dragons appeared next to Alyx's side. The water dragons raced across the room towards Aizen who was standing still.

"Hinokami Kagura... Raging Sun!" Aizen recited.

Two horizontal slashes of flame incinerated the dragons, but Alyx had disappeared, Aizen felt a presence behind him. Now, Alyx's blade was engulfed in the flames of his Hinokami Kagura, preparing to slash at Aizen's back.

"𝘏𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘪 𝘒𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘢... 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘹 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩." Alyx thought.

Aizen managed to turn around only for the blade to slice his chest, the force knocked him through a nearby pillar. Glowing red eyes stared back at him from the darkness until a crimson red aura exploded outward.

"Maybe I was wrong about you, little brother, perhaps you're already at that level."

"Shut your mouth. Don't call me your brother. We're nothing alike."

Aizen chuckled before readying his sword, "Nothing alike? We're two sides of the same coin, you and I. Our powers were never meant for this world, we both accepted that, but you tried to change that fate. You can't handle the truth, not a single person on this Earth feels safe around us. What intrigues me most is how you desperately try and fight it despite knowing it's set in stone, thanks to our father."

The two clashed blades once more, "Our father? What does he have to do with any of this? Kidnapping our sister, terrorizing our ancestors, what do you have to prove?"

"Our father was a weakling! A pathetic excuse of a hero, taking the cheap ways out, and conning our society into thinking he was some sort of saint! Those people your family had trouble with? He made their lives into a living hell before they became Villains! They never wanted to kill you, they only wanted to kill your father, but you got in their way!"

Leonidus rammed his fist into Aizen's face, causing him to lose his sword, it lodged into the ground several feet away. Alyx threw his blade aside as Aizen shook sense back into his head.

"If that's the case, I'll show you I'm nothing like him by kicking your ass."

"That's the spirit..."

Both of their Overdrive's flourished out around them as they darted towards each other. Aizen and Alyx locked eyes, seeing the Opening Thread leading to one another, only for it to snap and reappear once again in dozens of spots. On instinct, the brothers threw thousands of punches, rattling the foundation of the pyramid. Their fists connected against every point on their bodies, neither of them budged a single inch, their minds still intensely focused on winning. The two then blasted each other in the face with their fists, knocking them clear back to the opposite sides of the room.

Alyx pulled himself out of the wall, taking deep breaths in as Aizen did the same. Aizen wiped blood off of his mouth, laughing as he looked at his hand, stepping forward from the wall.

"This feeling... That rush of excitement from fighting a strong opponent, you feel it too, right? That's why we're so good at fighting! Now, 'World's Strongest', if that's the case... Why aren't you using that other Quirk of yours?! If you're gonna fight me at your strongest, then fucking do it!"

A matryoshka doll rolled next to Aizen's feet, he looked down only for it to explode with a bright light, blinding him temporarily. A wave of ice slammed into him, sending him crashing through the wall.

"Vanguard! Are you alright?" Momo called out.

"I-I'm fine! Where's everyone else?"

"We got separated, the rooms shifted to different places, I guess this was just luck!"

Aizen zoomed out of the wall of ice, landing a huge shot to Alyx's stomach, knocking him out of his Quirk. He grabbed Alyx by his throat, lifting him up high into the air, Aizen turned over towards Shoto and Momo.

"This is none of your business. I'm not gonna let small fry like you interfere with my-" Aizen scoffed.

Yaoyorozu appeared right in front of Aizen, launching her fist into his abdomen, breaking some of his ribs. He let go out Alyx as he bounced off the ground, he rebounded off of the wall, scowling at Momo. Shoto stepped in with a intense blast of fire, pinning Aizen to the wall. Yaoyorozu created a cannon as Todoroki distracted him. She fired off a laser from the cannon, it crashed into Aizen, pushing him into another room on the other side of the wall. Yaoyorozu rushed over to Alyx after seeing him cough up blood.

"Are you alright? Do you need me to heal you?"

"N-No... Y-You... You can take this in case."

Alyx took his pouch off and handed it to her, she helped Alyx stand up, the trio then heard laughter coming from the hole in the wall.

"Hahaha! You ain't shit compared to Spin Master: Gyro!" Selina cackled.

"Selina?! What in the hell is she doing here?" Alyx exclaimed.

Leonidus regained his breath as he reactivated his Overdrive, "Let's go! We still need to find Liz!"

Alyx charged into the room with Momo and Shoto following after him. To his surprise, Koichi and Selina were managing to handle Aizen. The giant steel ball that was pushing him back exploded into millions of pieces. Aizen's breathing was unstable, almost maniacal like, beginning to laugh at the heroes in front of him. His right eye started to bleed as he continued his spine-chilling laughter. As he continued, he pulled out an ever so familiar red vial, jamming it into the side of his neck. Red light shined from the cracks as the entire pyramid began to rumble, debris began to fall from the ceiling. Aizen's power became to much to be contained and he screamed out with seething rage.

Everyone was scattered around the room, Yaoyorozu saw that the floor had begun to separate. Huge tendrils of Aizen's Overdrive crept up from the crevices, a wailing cry could be heard behind Alyx, he sharply turned to see Liz reaching out for him. As Alyx ran towards her, a huge piece of the ceiling started to fall, he felt someone push his back. He saw Momo smiling at him, realizing what she had done.

"Save her! That's what we came here for!"

"Momo!"

The numerous pieces of debris slammed down in front of him, he rolled across the ground, staring in disbelief. Liz zoomed over to him with tears in her eyes, she held onto him tightly, bawling her eyes out. The attack Aizen used on him earlier that deactivated his Quirk had taken it's toll, limiting his ability to breath. His Overdrive disappeared as he picked Liz up and hurried out of the pyramid through the newly created ramp of rubble. Alyx shakily placed his finger on the communicator in his ear, falling on his knees.

"E-Endeavor... Hawks... I-I... I have Liz. S-She..." Alyx informed them.

He started to cry as he held Liz in his arms, "I wanna go home Aly, I wanna! Let's go, can we-"

Liz stopped speaking as a figure stood in front of them, kneeling down to Alyx's level, chucking Liz away from him. A blade drove partially through Alyx's chest.

"I laid waste to those little friends of yours. By the way, Endeavor, Hawks and those other idiots are dealing with a personal creation of mine, you won't be seeing them for a while. It's just you and me now, little brother. What say we have a little chat before you die? I think that'd be nice, wouldn't it?"

Alyx gasped for air as blood trickled down his jaw, he glanced over to see his sword stuck in the ground next to him, Aizen blasted it away into a distant tree.

"For that idea... I'll let you say your last words before I kill you. Go on, make your statement to the history books." Aizen smiled.

"Got you... Close... Fucker!"

Alyx pushed through the pain and headbutted his older brother, the sheer force dazed Aizen just long enough for him to pull the blade out of his chest. He slammed it onto the back of Aizen's neck, desperately trying to end the battle, only for his Overdrive to stop him.

"𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵... 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵! 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩!" Alyx panicked.

Aizen screamed out with white hot malice as his Overdrive began to scratch as Leonidus' face and body. The blade began to lift until it was thrown into the air by Aizen's Overdrive. He kicked Alyx in the stomach before chasing after him, he dodged the strikes thrown at him, until Aizen surprised him with a quick fire fist towards his skull. Before disaster could strike, a flashing light stopped Aizen's fist from connecting against Alyx's face.
