Flap!
I was sitting on Divinus' back, holding onto his feather coating tightly.
Whoosh!
We were soaring through the sky above the ocean.
"Hey, Mr. Divinus. Where is this forest of spirits at?"
"The forest of spirits is on a deserted island where Yggdrasil, the tree of life, lies."
Yggdrasil? That's a world tree if I remember.
I could tell that Divinus was grumpy because of his voice.
Sigh...
A lot has happened before we started traveling.
"What do you mean I'm going to be training him from now on?!"
Divinus shouted at Ddraig, who was yawning at his complaint.
"You're going to be his teacher from now on."
"What? But isn't that your job?"
"Look I also have Mizuki to train, I can't train 2 kids at the same time."
"Then let me train her. Why the hell do I have to train a brat like him?"
"Because Michael requested it."
Ddraig said as his eyes glowed. He also wore a grim smile.
Divinus backed off, irritated.
"Tch."
And that's how we ended up in this situation. Divinus and I are going to the forest of spirits. I don't know why, but I was told to come.
So much was happening in 1 day. First, I got an ID that I gave to Ddraig for safekeeping until I learn the spatial magic that Divinus used. Then, I had to go into a forest and was attacked by wolves. Then everyone including me finds out that I have no aptitude for magic.
Now we're traveling across an ocean to some unknown island.
"Mr. Divinus, are we there yet?"
"No."
"Mr. Divinus."
"What?"
"Can you fly a little lower? If this island comes to view, I want to see it with my own eyes."
We were above the skies and all I could see were white puffy clouds.
"Fine..."
Divinus lowered down and now I could see the clear ocean.
Hmm, we left the mainland not long ago. I wonder how long until we get there.
"Hey, Mr. Divinus, can you go faster?"
His ear twitched, and his eyes looked back at me.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Well, this island is far right? You might as well speed up so we could get whatever we're doing over there done."
"Hmm... well then. Hold on."
I held onto to his coating tightly.
"I recommend holding onto my scales. You might accidentally rip off some of my fur."
I held onto the scales on his neck.
Then a bright light flashed behind us. I turned around and there was this large glowing cross-like symbol with wings sticking out from each side.
"Uh Divinus what is tha-"
BOOM!
The next thing you know, we were flying at almost the speed of light.
"ISNT THIS A LITTLE TOO FAST?!?!"
"I am speed." <-----Ignore that, that wasn't what he said.
"At this rate, we can get there in under a minute."
At this rate, I might fall off!
*A few seconds later*
Divinus began to slow down and dropped altitude, I'm guessing we probably arrived.
"We arrived?"
"I do not need to answer that."
I looked over his shoulder and I saw the island. Protruding from all the trees was this giant tree, Yggdrasil.
"Whoa..."
Divinus would then land on the shore. He said that while he reverted to human form, I should explore the forest.
"I can find you with just a sniff so even if you got lost, I would still be able to find you."
"Thank you, Mr. Divinus."
As I was walking through the forest, there wasn't anything... how should I say it? Well, I couldn't sense anything spirit-like coming from this forest. It was just a normal old forest with regular trees.
Hmm, I wonder what's taking Divinus so long. It doesn't take long to become a human, right?
While I was wandering deeper into the forest, I realized that the trees have slightly become bigger and thicker.
Next thing I know, I was lost.
"Heh heh, I should've watched where I was going. Oh well, it's not like it matters since Divinus can just find me, anyway."
Wonder what Divinus is even doing. Ddraig only took a few seconds to become human. Not only that, he even became human in a few seconds directly in front of me.
What is he even doing?

Meanwhile...
Divinus was standing on the beach, looking off at the sunset. He was still in his normal form. He lied when he said he was going to turn into his human form.
The reason why Divinus had lied to Lucian is that this was all a test, orchestrated by Ddraig, Divinus, and a certain individual.
Divinus turned around and looked at a peculiar flower on the beach.
"You're late."
Flash!
Then the flower shone a bright light. That light morphed into a beautiful woman with leaves covering her important parts.
This is the dryad of Yggdrasil. Her name is Regina. She has also taken part in orchestrating this test.
"The boy has now entered the forest. It is now up to the 7 spirits to decide whether he is worthy or not."
Regina waved her hands at the ocean, and a vision of Lucian appeared.
"Let us spectate. I want to see this with my own eyes."
Back at the mainland...
Ddraig was standing on the jagged mountain, staring off at the sunset.
"It's beautiful isn't it?"
He said to a figure sitting next to him.
"Indeed. It's been a while since I've seen this kind of view."
Said a soft voice.
That voice belonged to Michael. The father of Lucian and the orchestrator of this test.
"How do you think it will go?"
"When that boy was born, he was born with all 8 elements of primary magic. Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Terra (Earth/Life), Ice (plus snow), Darkness, and Light. He wasn't able to handle it, so I removed those sources from him so he could live."
Yes, 4 years ago when Lucian was born. He had died 5 seconds after his birth. This was due to the fact that he could wield all 8 primary magic elements. In order to revive him, Michael had removed those sources so he could live once more.
Now that Lucian was 4 years old, it is time for him to once again regain those elements. There are 2 possible outcomes. 1, Lucian regains all 8 elements so he can wield them, or 2, he fails to reclaim them, and his future as a hero will vanish.
"I gave those 8 sources to Regina. It was because those 8 spirits rejected Lucian's soul that it caused him to die. I hope that this time they will return to him."
"Heh, you're still the same person you were back then when you saved me and Divinus."
You may have been wondering, why does Michael matter to Ddraig and Divinus?
20 years before the principle of heaven was destroyed, two dragons were born from the same egg, one with the power of destruction and one with none.
The dragon that wielded destruction unleashed a wildfire which almost killed his twin. When the chaos has settled down, an 8 winged angel descended from the sky. This angel was Michael, an angel who delivers messages from his higher-ups, the gods.
"The gods have blessed one of these two hatchlings."
Was what the man said as he descended. Little did he know that one of them was severely injured to the point that even the most supreme healing spells couldn't heal him.
Their parents begged for the hatchling to be healed.
Those blessings belonged to the dragon that had wreaked havoc. But instead of following the orders of his higher-ups, he gave those blessings to the injured one.
Even if they were blessings from the gods, that hatchling could not regenerate the flesh that was burned off.
"It's pointless, soon this one will disappear."
Every dragon had lost hope for the youngling, except for Michael.
In order to help this dragon, he had to lend it some of his own flesh.
And so, he tore his 1 of his own wing off and fed it to the hatchling. That hatchling would then awaken and return as the Angelic Dragon.
Yes, those 2 dragons were Ddraig and Divinus.
After that, Ddraig and Divinus had offered their life to Michael. Ddraig had inherited the manners and behavior of Michael in order to control his powers. Due to his power, he was named as the Cataclysmic Dragon.
Michael was like a father figure to them and that why they treated him as a friend. Now that he had a son, they had to treat him the same.
Unfortunately, Divinus doesn't see Lucian as the same as Michael.
This is an event that happened 60 years before the birth of Lucian.
Back to the present...
Ddraig got up and yawned.
"Don't you think it's almost time?"
"Yes... it has begun."
The sun had disappeared down the horizon; the moon had risen.
It was now night.
