Eight-Handled Wheel ... on steroids

(3rd Person POV)

Oetsu and Senjumaru make their way to his place. He takes her through his forge and to the testing grounds. 

He had long ago realised that he needed such a space and it needed to be as powerful as it could because he was planning to test some OP stuff in there.

The walls were coated with the strongest metals but instead of having them all mixed together, he made layers and stacked them atop each other.

It was a durable testing ground and it had a self-restoration function that Oetsu added later on. He had no time or interest to fix it after every time he damaged it. And it happened often.

"Welcome back sir, Lady Shutara nice of you to visit us.", Kikimaru welcomed the two when they arrived.

"Thank you Kikimaru."

"Kikimaru we're going to the testing grounds, is Nomu already there?", Oetsu asked.

"Yes sir. He has been in there for the entire day to practice his 'building skill' as he put it. I think he has a bet going on with Tsumo, but I am not well informed.", Kikimaru informed Oetsu.

"Thanks 'Maru."

Oetsu turned to Senjumaru and led her through the place to the testing grounds. 

"This way. I made the testing grounds after I realised that I nearly destroyed my entire disc a few centuries ago.", he told Senjumaru.

"And how did you manage that?", she asked.

"Well, I told Mero, who you will meet later as well, to go full power and fire up the forge. I created Mero to be my source of power in the forge. I made him very powerful and it seemed like my disc was not ready for 15 million degrees Celsius. The whole place began to melt and burn ... it was terrible."

"Hoho, and what is different on the testing grounds?"

"Well I created a giant room with another one of my gadgets and then coated it all with the strongest metals there are. I also created a self-restoration function to fix all the damage that happened."

"Fascinating."

They finally reached the place and entered the testing grounds. What Oetsu didn't tell Senjumaru was that the space inside was bigger than the room from the outside. 

He was very good with folding space and adding space. He put a lot of work into it when he created his Portal Gun and then made the upgrades.

"Oh this is a huge room.", Senjumaru said when they entered. 

"Yes, it is. You never know what I have to test and it can be quite big. Anyway, this is Nomu. He helps me build new structures on my disc as well as makes sure that nothing gets destroyed when I go overboard in the forge."

"Nice to meet you, my lady. Nomu Nomino at your service."

"Nice to meet you as well, Nomu. My name is Senjumaru Shutara."

"Now let us try it out. TSUMOOOO.", Oetsu called.

In the next moment, Tsumo appeared before them. 

"You called boss? Oh, we have a visitor? How nice. Tsumo Tsuchimiya, nice to meet you.", Tsumo said and bowed to Senjumaru.

"Tsumo this is the newest member of the Zero Division, Senjumaru Shutara. She holds the title of Great Weave Guard and I can tell you she is a master at her craft.", Oetsu introduced Senjumaru.

"Ohh, that is high praise." 

"Indeed."

"Anyway boys, I need Mero here as well and I wish for you Tsumo to get me the mannequins that we have in storage.", Oetsu said.

"Live or static?", Tsumo asked. 

"Oh right, I made live ones, didn't I? No the static ones will suffice for this test."

"As you wish."

After a few minutes, Mero came in as well and introduced himself to Senjumaru. When Tsumo came back with a few mannequins, Oetsu told him to clothe them with the Shihakushō while he did the rest.

"Well then, I believe we are ready. Ok, Mero, you can start.", Oetsu said.

"100%?"

"No, go with 10 for now. We'll work our way up from there."

"Here goes nothing."

Mero began to breathe fire and heat the air. It was currently only about 1.5 million degrees but it was seriously hot. 

After he stopped, Oetsu got to check on the Shihakushō and the mannequin as well.

"What do you say Shutara-san? How is the cloth? Is it singed yet or can it continue?", he asked her for her professional opinion.

"It's still perfectly fine. I believe it was a success.", she said with a smile.

"Well for now. Ok, Mero increase to 30%", Oetsu said and stood back. 

The mannequins were fire-resistant. Oetsu only wanted to check whether the Shihakushō would be heat resistant as he intended. He will have to find a solution for the other parts of the body later.

Mero went back to it and gradually increased the temperature until he was at 100%. But the Shihakushō held and weren't damaged in any way. That was a full success.

"That was impressive work you showed Shutara-san. Very impressive. Now I only have to find a way to protect the face as well and we're good."

"I only used the materials you provided. I believe you are the true magician here Oetsu.", Senjumaru complimented Oetsu.

"Oh, that's nice of you to say. But it was nothing really. I believe this has potential. I may be able to make the thread resistant to blunt damage or maybe even cutting... That would take some more time though and I first want to finish the work for clothing.", Oetsu mused. 

"Hoho, I think you have much to do still, so I'll leave you to it.", Senjumaru said and was about to leave.

"Nonsense my lady. I have prepared food and beverages for you. I hope you honour us with your presence for tea?", Kikimaru said from the door where he appeared. 

"Oh I was just about to leave ...", Senjumaru said.

"Don't worry about that. If you have something to do you don't have to stay here. It is just proper decorum to offer guests refreshments and some nourishment.", Oetsu said. 

He had created Kikimaru after all and knew how the Gentleman Zanpakuto thought and functioned. 

"That ... is very thoughtful, then I will gladly accept.", Senjumaru said.

Time passed like this and Oetsu would invite Senjumaru to eat with him or help him with creating something that needed a seamstress. 

But the current project that Oetsu was working on was something else. He had been working on the project 'Overpowered' for centuries now and he was finally in the final stages.

Project: Overpowered was Oetsu's way of getting powerful and his answer to all the bullshit abilities that existed in Bleach. 

He would have to go up against Juha Bach, Ichibe Hyosube, the Sternritter, possibly Sosuke Aizen and maybe more. It was imperative that he had answers to all those threats and he decided that increasing his power was the best way to do that. 

He had plans and projects that dealt with some individuals personally but for now, he wished to focus his efforts on personal growth. 

How did he do that? 

Well anyone who knows Bleach, knows about Sosuke Aizen and his power of the Hogyoku. The Hogyoku has the power to dissolve the boundaries between Shinigami and Hollow, allowing one race to attain the powers of the other. 

However, its true power lies in its ability to sense the hearts of those around it and materialize their deepest desire. The Hogyoku itself, however, is merely a guiding force - it can only manifest the desires of those with the strength to carry them out.

So this meant two things. Oetsu knew that the reason Juha Bach didn't deal with Aizen was because he said, 'it would take too long to deal with him'. This meant that Juha Bach might be able to separate Aizen from the Hogyoku.

So for one, the power of the Hogyoku was something that could make you truly overpowered, but only if you had the required strength yourself. So Oetsu needed something to complement the Hogyoku. Something that would push Oetsu above any limits and then utilise the power of the Hogyoku to grow according to those new limits. 

And there were only two words Oetsu thought of when he tried to find this answer. Adaptation and Evolution. 

Numerous characters in fiction had the power of Evolution or Adaptation and they were all powerful in their own right. Even in the world of Bleach some of the strongest characters had some form of adaptation or evolution. Pernida Parnkgjas, Gerard Valkyrie, Aizen with the Hogyoku and even Ikomikidomoe.

Now Oetsu had already created something central in his plan to get the power of adaptation. The Eight-Handled Wheel of Mahoraga and also the Hogyoku. 

The Eight-Handled Wheel was something that Oetsu planned to use together with more things. 

The plan came into existence through a fluke if you will. Oetsu planned to create more than just the Hogyoku. He wanted to breach the boundaries of Shinigami, Hollows AND Quincies. Oetsu had already created the Stone Mask and the super Aja stone. 

But to use it and the Whitelight Virus, Oetsu wanted to gain the necessary things first. He decided to use the Eight-Handled Wheel as a basic framework for a total of 9 other inventions. 

Each handle would be fused with something special that he created and he would then fuse with it in one go. What were these 9 things and why were there 9 instead of 8, when there were only 8 handles? Because the most important piece would go in the middle of the Wheel.

Over the centuries Oetsu had researched a lot and he had become very skilled thanks to the Essence of the Crafter, the Essence of the Mad Doctor and especially the Essence of the Blank. 

He grew smarter and quicker. He had not yet trained much but he would change that after he had completed the next part of his 'Evolution'. 

So let us go over all the 9 pieces that are going to go into the tips of the Eight-Handled Wheel.

Number 1.

At number one we have the Adjucas class Hollow, Ikomikidomoe. 

Ikomikidomoe had the power of Assimilative Evolution and since he was from the Bleach universe it fit perfectly in one of the eight handles. 

All of the parts of the eight handles had some form of evolutionary or adaptive function. Had Ikomidikomoe not been stopped by Ichibe or had he been more patient, he would have easily become the strongest Hollow to ever exist.

Number 2.

At number two we have the Whitelight Virus. The Whitelight Virus was made by Oetsu and is of his own design. He took inspiration from the Blacklight Virus and also named his own 'virus' after it. 

The power of the Whitelight Virus was similar to the Blacklight virus but it was even better. What he could 'assimilate' or 'consume' was not only biological in nature. It could also absorb Souls. It worked in the world of Bleach and was perfect for the spot number two on the Wheel.

Number 3. 

At number three of the handles we have something that we all recognize, the Soru Soru no mi. Also called the Soul Soul fruit from the manga One Piece, this is a true beauty. 

When Oetsu created the upgraded Portal Gun and used it to travel to different universes and gather powerful souls, he also stole a few devil fruits. The mechanism was quite smart and he was able to reverse engineer it very fast.

He then created something similar that was not a devil fruit, but simply a soul fruit. And just like its One Piece counterpart, it could manipulate souls. A fitting spot for the third position.

Number 4. 

At number four of the Wheel we have 'Gourmet Cells'. These are powerful cells with very special properties. In the story, the protagonist, Toriko, possesses Gourmet Cells, which allow him to adapt and evolve based on the foods he consumes. 

As he consumes rare and powerful ingredients, his Gourmet Cells undergo transformations, unlocking new levels of strength and abilities. 

Number 5.

Next on the Wheel, we have Doomsday Cells. These cells are conjured by Oetsu. They belong to the creature known as Doomsday.

One of Doomsday's most unique abilities is his power of rapid adaptation. When he is killed or injured, he resurrects with increased resistance to whatever killed him. This makes it challenging to defeat him the same way twice.

Number 6.

At number six we have something special. We have the Darwinian Seed from 'Hungry Joker'. In the context of the manga, the Darwinian Seed has the ability to trigger rapid and extreme evolution in living organisms.

And what's even better is that it can be combined with the Mendelian Peas. If used together this grants the user the power of an Ultimate Adaptive Body allowing the user to modify his own genes.

Number 7.

Next are Primal Zerg Cells from Starcraft 2. Primal Zergs can consume other life forms and assimilate their useful genetic traits into a more powerful form.

In short, they have the power of assimilative evolution, similar to Ikomikidomoe.

Number 8.

At last, we have the last handle of the Eight-Handled Wheel and maybe one of the most important ones. 

At number 8 we have the Nano Machine, from the manhwa Nano Machine. 

The Nano Machine injected into the protagonist Cheon Yeo Woon is comprised of specifically 6,482,040,000 nanomachines that are deployed throughout the body and are centrally connected to the user's brain. 

This is something that Oetsu HAD to replicate and get for himself. The sheer versatility of such Nano machines is nigh infinite. 

The reason this is so important is because Oetsu wants to have full control over his body when this is all finished. He has no interest in the Whitelight Virus or any of the cells doing what they want and Oetsu has full control with the Nano Machine.

Finally, we have the centre of the Eight-Handled Wheel. And in the middle ... Oetsu will place ... the Hogyoku. The ultimate weapon he has created to surpass any limits following his desires.

However, Oetsu knew that he wouldn't survive if he fused with all of this. He needed safety and he had already created the perfect potion for that. One potion with the magical and improved version of the 'Fountain of Youth' from the manga 7 Deadly Sins.
