Chapter 23 – The Area Boss.
In the deep parts of the forest, many undeads monsters were filling the area, ranging from skeletons to zombies and even ghost.
"This area still gives me creeps whenever we are here." – said Mru.
"Shh. The guild leader wants to say something." – said GreyHunt.
A group of players were gather in the undead infested part of the forest.
"Listen up all of you!" – said a female player holding a spear.
[Land Pirates – Guild Master – End]
"As you all know our guild entire guild was preparing to take on the area boss monster we discovered sometime ago. Now that all of our guild members are finally high level enough, we shall defeat the boss monster and bring glory and fame to our guild! Nobody shall defy our guild!" – said the guild master End.
[2 days ago.]
"By the way I've been wondering about something. Why your guild want to beat the area boss in the first place?" – asked Shri.
"Yea. That is very good question. Why the heck killing the boss would screw up your guild any way or shape I just don't get it. They can just wait the next day and the boss monster would just wait until the boss monster respawns and then kill it. I don't get why stealing the boss monster would screw them up." – said ClownFrog.
"Well, I was planning on telling you so listen."
"...."
"...."
"...."
"Oh. Hohohohohoh. I like this. VERY MUCH YOU PIECE OF SHIT ASSHOLE!" – said ClownFrog.
[Back to the present.]
(Keep talking. Soon, the entire guild will end up in shambles.) – though GreyHunt while the guild leader End was giving the speech.
"Now! Let's make the name for ourselves boys and girls!"
"Move out!" – order the guild leader.
The Land Pirates guild began moving, traveling through the forest and killing any undead monsters that tried attacking them.
After a while the guild manage to arrive at the area where abandon and destroyed village was located and in the middle of it, a giant soldier with rotting flesh on his knees.

"Everyone! Take up your positions!" – shouted the guild leader.
The guild members quickly began taking positions upon hearing the guild leader command. However, while they were preparing, the boss monster took the sword next to him and stood up, before then looking towards the guild.
"Get ready you all!" – shouted Gimo while holding a giant shield.
The undead monster looked towards the party and began slowly taking steps.
"Attack!" – shouted the guild leader.
The guild members began charging at the boss monster. The giant zombie soldier lifted his sword and launched the attack, but it was stopped by 3 shield wielding players, one of them including the player Gimo.
While the tanks manage to block the sword attack, the all other players began launching attacks at the boss monster.
However, the boss monster didn't just did nothing and instead continue attacking any players nearby.
"Healers! Where the heck are our heals!?" – said Gimo.
"We are on it!" – replied one of the healers.
While the tanks with the assist of the healers were focused dealing with the monster attacks, one of the players sneaked behind the boss monster and leaped towards its back.
"[Back Stab]!"
Mru attacked the boss monster from behind, stabbing the boss monster with his daggers. The attack then was fallowed up by the [Power Shot] from the GreyHunt, hitting the monster right in the head. Upon getting hit by the GreyHunt attack, the monster looked towards him, but as soon as he did, the guild leader End appears on the opposite site where the zombie wasn't looking.
"[Tri Spear]!"
The spear wielding guild master launched 3 attacks at the close distance right in the monster side while it was distracted. The giant zombie tried swatting the spear woman with its hand, but she manage to quickly get away, dodging the attack.
(Damn. They weren't kidding when they said that the area boss is tough. It will take some time until we kill it.) – though End.
Suddenly, the giant zombie monster mouth snapped open.
"!"
"Everybody run for it!" – shouted guild leader.
Seconds after the zombie soldier mouth opened, it began releasing a huge amount of purple smoke that quickly engulfed the area around it as well as the zombie monster himself, making the visibility in the area affected by the smoke very low.
"Don't get close to it! It's a poison!" – shouted GreyHunt.
From the smoke, the giant zombie soldier reemergent and launched a surprise attack with its sword at the Gimo the tanker. Because Gimo didn't saw the giant zombie coming because of the smoke, Gimo wasn't able to block the attack with his shield and ended up getting hit.
The giant monster tried to finish off the Gimo with the fallow up attack, but it ended up being hit with the wave of projectiles, stopping the monster just for the moment and letting Gimo retreat while the other two tanks covered for him.
"Healers heal him before he dies! We can't lose any tanks this early on!" – shouted the guild leader.
The battle was hard. Even though most of the guild members were level 37 and some were even 40, the fight was very hard and exhausting for the guild, but they did not given up.
Potions, skills, heals, items were used left and right during the combat, however the real problem appeared now.

The zombie monster released loud inhuman scream that even made the ground shake. The monsters eyes began crying with blood.
"?!"

[Movement speed has been reduced by 10%]
[The receiving healing is decreased by 10%.]
"Fuck! Its debuff!" – shouted Mru while covering his ears because of the zombie scream.
The zombie monster stopped screaming and looked towards the group with now bloody red eyes before rushing straight at the nearest player holding a sword and killing it with its rusty sword.
"!"
"Shit! It has phase two! Everybody! Don't let your guard down!" – shouted guild leader after one of her guild members got killed.
The boss monster entered a phase two, making the real battle start now.
After the boss monster entered the second stage, the battle became way harder than before, people began dying while fight the boss monster, dropping the number of the guild members fighting against the boss monster to 17 and also making lot of members lose a lot of HP.
However, the guild weren't the only one suffering the loses.

"Just bit more! This guy is almost dead!" – shouted Gimo.
"Waste him! Use everything. bloody you have right now! We are killing him now!" – shouted the guild leader, giving an order.
All the raid members began unleashing all the skills they have at the area boss, dealing a lot of damage to it.

(Common! Common! He is almost dead!) – though the guild leader.
"?" – the guild leader felt something suddenly.
While the raid members was fully focus on the boss monster, including the guild leader, a crossbow bolt suddenly flew out of nowhere and pierced into the guild leader head.
"Eh?"
[You have died.]
Before the guild leader realized, she suddenly died after receiving a head shot.
"?!"
"END?!" – shouted Mru after seeing.
The rest of the members soon noticed that the guild leader died, creating a confusion and fear.
"Wha- "
"GUILD LEADER IS DEAD?!"
"Who did that?!"
"!?"
Chaos and panic suddenly irrupted in the critical moment after the guild leader unknow and sudden death.
However unfortunately for them, it wasn't over.
From behind a group of undead emergent and began rushing straight at the guild.
"WATCH OUT! UNDEAD BEHIND US!" – shouted the priested that noticed the undead creatures emerging.
"WHAT THE HELL?! THIS GUY CAN SUMMON MINIONS TOO?!" – shouted one of the guild members.
"VICE LEADER! WHAT DO WE DO!? DO WE DEAL WITH THE UNDEAD OR WE TRY TO FINISH THE BOSS?!"
"VICE MASTER ORDER?!"
"…."
(What is happening?! End suddenly died and this guy summoned a reinforcement?! Shit! What do we do?! Do we kill the undeads?! But what about the boss?!) – vice guild master Gimo wondered what to do.
The undead monster didn't wasted a second and instantly run straight towards the guild members, making them panic even more.
"!"
"Everybody! Calm- "
Before the vice guild leader Gimo could say anything, he was forced to block with his shield the incoming attack of the giant skeleton sword attack.
"Ugh?!"
"Hey! Heals! Now!"
"!"
"Ye- "
One of the healers that tried to heal the tank Gimo was instantly killed by the valley of arrows shot by the skeleton kobolds.
"!"
"Ali!" – said one of the surviving supports.
"Guys! Heal! NOW!" – shouted Gimo while trying to hold out the boss monster attacks.
The support player didn't knew what to do and before he could do anything he was attacked and killed by the undeads.
"FUCK! PROTECT THE SUPPORTS NOW OR ELSE- "
Before Gimo could finish his sentence, he was killed by the boss monster rusty sword.
"?!"
"GIMO DIED!"
Chaos enveloped the entire guild. None of them knew what to do after losing both the vice guild master. The remaining players that were exhausted from the long fight and used a lot of potions and their skills. The confusion and panic completely took over the entire guild and because of that they became easy targets. Guild member were getting killed by the undeads from behind while the boss monster was killing them from the front and before long only two guild members were left after the mass slaughter.
The last two remaining players were covering each other banks while being surrounded
"SHIT! EVEYRBODY IS DEAD!" – shouted GreyHunt.
"What do we do?!" – asked Mru.
"Obviously we try to run! We can't beat the boss monster alone!" – said GreyHunt.
"But where- "
"JUST RUN FOR IT!" – shouter GreyHunt before running away.
Mru quickly tried to run as well, however before he could all of his paths were blocked by the undead monster while the boss monster stood behind him.
"?!"
Mru fallen on the ground after getting hit and then got surrounded and killed by the giant zombie soldier.
"Ah- AAAAAAAAAAAAAA" – screamed Mru before getting killed.
The entire Land Pirates guild were annihilated, expect for the one member.
"…."
"Huh. Idiots." – asid GreyHunt after coming back.
"Yo! You can come out now!" – shouted GreyHunt.
"…."
From between the trees a 3 figures emergent and began walking towards the GreyHunt.
The tree figures that revealed themselves were non other than ClownFrog, Shri and Oron.

[ClownFrog] – [Level 41]
"Good job." – said GreyHunt.
[During the meeting two days ago.]
"So, then plan is to kill all your guild members before they kill the area boss, yes? But how do we do this? You said that making the enemy of 22 people at the same time isn't smart. So, we need to kill them and not let them know what kill them? How do we do it?" – asked ClownFrog.
"Well, for the plan to work I need you and Oron."
"?"
"Why us?" – asked Oron.
"Oron. You said you are able to snipe the target from afar using your crossbow, right?"
"Well, yea, but I can't snipe all your guild members, they will notice me."
"Yea and that is why you will only shoot once! When the boss monster gets low around 15 to 10 precent, I want you to kill the guild leader. Our guild operate so well because of her, she receive both respect and fear from the guild remember. However without her, the guild members will be engulfed in chaos."
"You only will have once chance, so you need to be careful."
"You are putting a lot of pressure on me man." – said Oron.
"Well, we need to get rid of her as fast as possible. I can kill her using my gun, but people would realize I'm traitor then. So, you have to do it."
"…. Fine. But don't blame me if I screw up."
"Okay. After the guild leader dies, ClownFrog you will need to bring your undeads behind the group in the obvious spot, so the guild members will notice the monster."
"The guild will probably think that the undead appeared because of the boss monster hp became very low."
"Oh I get it. The area is filled with the undead monsters and the boss monster is undead as well, so it will look like the sudden appearance of the monsters was boss monster doing."
"Yea and that is why two of you are very important to this plan."
"What about me?" – asked Shri.
"…. Em… I…. Sorry I can't think of anything. You tamed monster would appearing there would made them stood out too much, so you can't help out." – said GreyHunt.
"Oh."
"Well, you can wait in the forest in case of somebody managing to successfully run away and kill them." – said ClownFrog.
"Oh, that is good point." – said Shri.
"Well, in the end it all depends on the Oron, so don't screw up." – said Shri.
"Wait, shouldn't you give me words of confidence or something?!"
"Nope."
"…. Bitch." – said Oron.
"Anyway, just stick to the plan and everything will play out."
[Back to the present.]
"I confirmed. All the guild members are were killed. I'm only one left babe!" – said GreyHunt.
"Nice. I'm sending party invite." – said ClownFrog while sending the party invite to the GreyHunt.
[GreyHunt has joined the party.]
"Well then gentlemen and lady. Let's fuking go." – said ClownFrog.
"Finaly!" – said Shri.
"[Tame Summon: Gog, Amini, Anderson.]!"
Shri summoned her tamed monster, lizard wolf, owl and giant ant monsters.

"Well then, it has only 9% HP left, but it did gave guild run for their money so don't let your guard down for even a moment." – said GreyHunt.
"Roger!" – replied everybody.
"Go!" – shouted ClownFrog and Shri, ordering their monsters to attack the boss monster.
The undead kobolds began firing their bows at the giant zombie together with ClownFrog and Oron attacking as well with their spells.
The skeleton kobold may posses a poor aim, but because of the size of the zombie soldier, the aim was not issue at all, making most of their attacks the giant zombie.
The boss monster didn't stood idle and walking towards the group, however it was stopped by the group of the skeleton servants blocking it way. The giant zombie swinged its rusted blade around, killing the skeleton creature, but unfortunately for it, the skeleton servants were spread out and it was unable to kill all of them with one attack.
Thanks to the spreading the skeleton servants around, the zombie boss was unable to get rid of them all, however it didn't took long for the all skeleton to be killed with few attacks.
"Damn. They only lasted a couple of seconds!" – said ClownFrog.
"You two! Get him!"
The giant ant monster began rushing towards the giant zombie with the two of the ant monster emitting flames.

[If the target corpse had higher level than you, the created skeleton will have its level reduced.]
[The stats of the undead will be lower compare to its living form. The decrees of stats penalty will get lighter based on the skill level.] [Current Penalty: 50%. At level 10 the penalty will become 40%.]
[This skill can be used on the undead with a rank: Lesser Skeleton and turn it into the skeleton.]

[The number of the monsters you can evolve with this skill is 1. The max number will increase whenever this skill level increases.]
The group of the ant monsters including the undead, Anderson and burning undeads rushed towards the boss monster, trying to slow it down and get its attention.
However, one of the undead ants were quickly smashed into bits after getting hit once by the giant rusty sword, but while the boss monster was focused on the ants, GreyHunt and Shri rushed from two different sides and began attacking the boss monster from left and right.
"[Attack Mark]!"
"[Piercing Bullet]!"
The boss monster noticed the two players attacking it and tried swinging it sword at Shri, however she quickly got away before the sword hit the spot where she was.
After missing its attack, the boss monster once again opened it jaw wide and began releasing poison gas.
"Don't get near it!" – shouted GreyHunt.
GreyHunt, Shri as well as he tamed monster that were near the boss monster retreated before the poison gas got them.
After getting away from the gas the party kept their guard up, but the giant zombie did not launched the attack. Seconds later the purple gas dispersed and showed the giant fighting against the undead ants.
"Not on my watch bitch!" – said ClownFrog while flipping off the giant zombie.
The party once again began fighting the undead giant after the smoke cleared.
Oron and ClownFrog continue attacking the boss monster from afar while GreyHunt and Shri continue annoy the boss monster.
After a while, the last undead ant was killed, forcing ClownFrog to send out his undead kobolds to take on the boss monster, however the kobolds were quickly getting killed at rapid rate, but thanks to their sacrifice, enough time was bought to deal as much damage as possible.

"Just finish him!" – shouted GreyHunt.
All of the party members launched all of their attacks at the boss monster, trying to finish off the dying boss monster, however the zombie soldier didn't wanted to gave up yet and made a last rush straight at the GreyHunt.
"?!"
GreyHunt began running away when the giant zombie began chasing him, however he was too late, the giant monster lifted its sword and trained swinging it down at him.
"?!"
"JUST DIE ALREADY! [Last Bullet]!"
GreyHunt desperately shot the last attack before the zombie giant launched his own, however the zombie sword still tried attacking.
"…. Holy shit." – said GreyHunt, somehow surviving.
The zombie sword did not manage to hit the GreyHunt and instead hit the ground next to him.
The reason why the attack didn't hit the GreyHunt is simple-

"Oh, my fuking god! I thought I would shit my pants just now." – said GreyHunt while holding his chest.
"Hey! You alright?!" – shouted ClownFrog while running with the others to the GreyHunt.
"Yea. I think so. But I got scared shitlessly." – said GreyHunt.
"Well, at least you are alive AND we beat that bitch!" – said Oron.
ClownFrog and Shri helped GreyHunt got up off the ground.
"But fuck me. I though it would be easy since it had only 9% HP left, but the bastard was harder than that ant boss from before!" – said Shri.
"Yea. Fuck me. Anyway, Good job Oron with assassinating the guild leader mate. It thanks to you the plan worked." – said GreyHunt.
"No problem. Honestly, I was bit scared that I would fuck up, but thank god I didn't." – said Oron.
"Anyway! Guys! You know what time is it!" – said ClownFrog.
"Loot time!" – said everybody with excited look.
[Two days ago.]

"There are 3 reason."
The first reason is the respawn time."
"Some people went to the spot where the area boss was and they couldn't find him."
"Couldn't it just wander off like field boss?" – asked Oron.

[Filed boss can sometimes wonder around and be find in different spots in the specific area.]
"Nope. They looked everywhere but couldn't find it, the same thing happened the next day. People got confused and asked the one of the members of the raid, they even offered him money. He said two messenge popped up. The first said the boss monster will respawn in 30 days later and they were the first to ever the defeat the boss monster so they will receive a bonus."
"So, defeating the area boss monster give you bonus rewards for defeating them and it takes month for it to respawn?!" – said Oron.
"Yeb. People will sooner or later found about the conversation since it was dissuasion online and chaos will erupt."
"So huge rewards and it takes time for it respawn? This is way more serios. Now we know why your guild want to take down the boss monster themselves." – said ClownFrog.
"Yea, but that is not all."
"?"
"After they defeat the boss monster, they want to announce it."
"?!"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. This is stupid. They are PK players. Announce that they beat the area boss monster? People then will pay attention to them! Why the heck they want to do it?!" – asked confused ClownFrog.
"…. No. Actually it will work out for them. It works perfectly for them!" – said Oron.
"The raid party that defeated the first area boss has tough time beating the boss monster and some of the raid members even died during the raid."
"Each raid member received the respect and envy from the other players. If they announce that they beaten the area boss then they will receive a lot of fame. If somebody would frame them of being PK players then people would think they are just jealous of them or were trying to kill them and steal the items they got from the boss." – said Oron.
"Wow. You guessed it perfectly? It's quite scary honest." – said GreyHunt.
"Anyway, you are right. If they beat the area boss and announce it, they will have more time PK players but obviously people would realize that the rumors about them being PK players are real and people weren't making it up."
"So, if we were to kill the boss monster, not only your guild would have less time until people find out about them being PK players, but they would also lose the first time kill and they would wait a whole month until a new respawned. Now it makes sense why you want to fuck them over with THAT!" – said Shri.
"Oh. Hohohohohoh. I like this. VERY MUCH YOU PIECE OF SHIT ASSHOLE!" – said ClownFrog.
[Back to the present.]
"Well then. Let's see what we have, shall we?" – said ClownFrog.
