Amaris dashed on the rooftops, heading straight towards the Sunfox manor. It was a large building with beautifully carved pieces of wood hanging over the windows and doors.
The manor had two smaller towers mainly to replicate the overall theme of the castle and to use as a defense from enemies.
'Hmm. Too bad that good firewood was wasted on this disgusting building... '
Amaris thought as she eyed the towers and windows with a small smile. They would provide a good place to infiltrate the manor and they had the advantage in a battle.
But if any other infiltrator saw the sheer size of the towers and the strong guards that guarded it, they would become unwilling to continue.
From below the guards could see a shadow across the sky and disappear into the tower. Fortunately, the Sunfox Manor guards weren't very worried about the shadow since they frequently saw small birds nest inside the towers.
Besides Sunfox clan was a force no one dared to provoke. As such, they didn't alert anyone. As far as they knew it wasn't a threat, even the king couldn't fly so who possibly could?
'Even if they did it wouldn't matter..'
Amaris thought as she quietly slipped into the tower's inner hall and seemingly disappeared into the walls.
Once Amaris successfully bypassed the tower she glanced around her carefully. Polished marble floors and exquisite paintings and embroideries hung on a smooth wooden wall.
To her left, she could see a large table set with crystal plates, utensils, and tall elegant glasses. The chairs were silver and the cushions were also white adding to the pristine environment.
'Ew, these people have no style..'
Amaris eyed the crystal-decked table and the clashing wooden wall behind it, snatching the valuables off the table and into a pouch she held at her waist.
The bag seemed to never end and wouldn't grow larger but heavier. She continued robbing the area of anything worth a single bronze and slipped into an adjacent room.
Immediately she stepped back, she had been careless. A garnet dagger slammed into the ground where she once was.
'Ah, crap...'
Amaris subconsciously noted the value of the dagger and grabbed it, shoving it into her bag before concentrating on the enemy in front of her.
