They handcuffed him and told Alayna's parents that they had found him and they don't have to worry anymore, they are safe now. Lewis was interrogated and evidence was found of him kidnapping Alayna and his fingerprints were found in the apartment. However, the police couldn't find any evidence of Lewis being involved in Alayna's rape case as Lewis was denying all the accusations. He told the police that he would not answer anything until he got his lawyer. He called his father and asked him why he did not send him a lawyer and why he was not helping him to get away with all of this. His father told him that he didn't want to get involved in this and he shouldn't contact him.

Lewis told his father that if he doesn't help him, he will commit suicide. His mother overheard the conversation and asked Lewis's father to help him as he is their only child. He agreed and sent a lawyer. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that Lewis's father was also involved in trying to help a horrendous wanted criminal to flee the country. When the police arrested Lewis's father, his company went bankrupt as shareholders didn't want to be investigated and everyone took away their shares. Lewis's father blamed Lewis for destroying his life and his image as a businessman.

Lewis's father asked his lawyer to make the police believe that they had no proof that Lewis raped Alayna and that the fact that he kidnapped her was also wrong. In fact, it was Alayna who asked him to come there, and then out of her habit of making stories, she made all this drama to make his company bankrupt. The police told Lewis's father that they had proof that Lewis was the owner of that apartment. To this, his father said that Alayna was the one who suggested the idea of living with Lewis, and she hurt herself and made up all these stories. If Lewis was the one who kidnapped her, then why didn't he hurt her? It was all Alayna's idea.

Lewis also agreed with the statement his father gave about Alayna, and he asked the police to provide proof that he was the one who raped her. As the police couldn't find any physical evidence or his phone signal at the place of the incident, they asked Alayna if she knew about anything that could help them believe that Lewis was the one who raped her. Despite their efforts, they couldn't find any conclusive evidence against Lewis.

Alayna said, "Did he not know that Justin is the biggest proof against him? He is Lewis's child and the proof that he raped me." The police were amazed at Alayna's statement as they did not know about Justin, so they took his DNA and sent it to the forensic lab. When the results came back, it showed a 99.9% paternity match.

The police showed the report to Lewis and his father and asked them what other proof they wanted before accepting their crime. Lewis's father did not know about this, so he slapped Lewis and asked him if he did it and how he could fool him by telling lies. Now, Lewis was speechless as he had completely forgotten about Justin. He thought it was an old case, and they wouldn't be able to find any proof against him.

When Alayna's family found out through the police what Alayna said and what the proof of Lewis's crime was, they asked Alayna to forgive them. She was young at the time, but she made the decision to keep the child. If she hadn't done that, there would have been no proof against him. They shouldn't have left her when she needed them the most.

Alayna told them that she didn't even know that Justin would help her as proof of that incident, but she kept him. Even though she suffered a lot every time she looked at him and thought of what had happened, she loved him more than the fact that his existence caused her a lot of sorrow. Above all, he is the most perfect kid she has ever seen, and he loves her. That is what matters.

After 3 months she was getting better with the help of a psychiatrist, and she got herself busy with her job again. She got the message from her lawyer that she has to come to the court hearing.

Max and her parents went with her to the hearing, Alayna saw Lewis handcuffed she felt relieved but still she did not know what his punishment would be.

As the hearing started prosecutor gave all the evidence to the judge and he asked Lewis why he kidnapped her and why he raped her and that he cannot deny this evidence. "I didn't want to do all this. I never thought of doing such things, it was just jealousy which made me the culprit. I love Alayna and I just wanted her to love me back, but she never gave me a chance. I tried everything to please her, but she liked Mars, and she was crazy about him. He left her when she needed him. Even now when I tried to have a happy life with her and my son, she rejected me again and this time it's because of Edward. It was not all my fault it was Her's too she took my love as a joke, and she loved those who don't care about her."

Alayna was feeling disgusted hearing what he was saying she wanted to stand up and tell him something, but her brother stopped her by holding her hand and he nodded his head to tell her to not to step in.

Judge after hearing and seeing the evidence ordered

15yrs in jail for raping and 5 years for kidnapping and

Lewis's father was imprisoned for 2 yrs. for helping Lewis.

When they were taking Lewis away, he shouted "Alayna, I love you and I will come back, wait for me and please forgive me I am getting the punishment for my crime."

Alayna turned her face away and her brother hugged her and told her that she won the case, she got the justice she wanted to and now she should stay happy and enjoy her remaining life.
