"Duel Lunacy, Third Part" (065)

The foundation was trembling, and the walls were crumbling. While Elliot had been standing motionless and calmly, the vibrations caused the windows on the side of the room to explode.

("... I've got to break through it... no matter how much the noise bothers me... I've got to do something...")

Elliot had finally managed to ignore the throbbing in his ears and had a brief moment to reflect.

The yellow electricity began to gently ascend around his body and extend around him, sparking ferociously. It had been glitching for a while when Elliot's vision went black and white, completely glitchy.

On the ground, yellow specks appeared, as did a yellow spirit who had been piecing together some form of movement at a slower pace.

The yellow spirit, which was piecing together an action plan, began to malfunction.

Kunio's eyes began to notice a slew of silhouettes all around him, each frozen in place and moving in different directions. Kunio felt obnoxious since they were all glowing yellow and glitching.

"What is Elliot up to...? I wish I knew what he's saying... is he just waiting for Kunio to stop?"

"...maybe... he's doing something... plotting something... I'm not sure..."

The silhouettes began to flicker as the glitching became more severe, so Elliot let grip of his right ear and reached backward with his blade. His eyes were closed, and his electricity was becoming more erratic by the second.

Kunio turned his elbow mouths forward and gave more pressure to his vibrations as the sword swirled and was seized by Elliot. The metal beneath them began to deteriorate and soften.

Elliot's body vanished from the scene as the sword he was wielding began to flare out the energy in his point. The silhouette on Kunio's right side shifted, revealing Elliot's body.

Kunio was completely oblivious to Elliot until something sharp cut through the mouths on the palms and elbows, causing Kunio excruciating pain.

The second silhouette glitched out on the opposite side at that moment, and Elliot swapped places, absorbing the light before his own form glitched.

That allowed him to cut through Kunio's spine, causing him more anguish and, worse, forcing him to cease wailing while seeing Elliot's body glitching between the three shadows, making it appear as if Elliot was not moving, and others finally understood.

"I d-don't get it. What did he just do??"

Nina was completely perplexed, and in an instant, she noticed Elliot glitch forward, to the very back of Kunio, and deliver a powerful kick to the back of his head, tossing his entire body into the crack wall in the distance, and finally, Elliot landed and his body appeared in front of Tomomi and Nina for a brief moment.

"I see... he basically employed a technique that mimics a sluggish video game. They'll start teleporting if their connection is bad... I believe his technique operates in a similar manner."

"Who'd have guessed that sluggish character would come in handy in real life?"

The noises were reduced to a bare minimum as a result of Elliot's blow, and everyone was free of ear bleeding.

Ayana looked around, trying to make sense of the situation.

"What was the point of that?! Why did he put an end to his ability?!"

But her comments were ineffective, so Shigeru took advantage of the opportunity to climb through her shadow behind her and kick her in the back, pushing her into a front wheel and onto her feet.

Shigeru leaped as she rapidly recovered and redirected her focus to her opponent. She smashed her hand into the ground and blasted a wave of green energy at the same time.

He swung to the side to avoid the rising force pillars, then hurled his blade forward, which began spinning furiously. During that time, Ayana took a step back and slashed her blade upward, pushing the dagger to the side, but she then vanished.

She appeared behind Shigeru and immediately delivered a kick, which Shigeru deflected by teleporting toward his dagger, which he grabbed with his back to the floor due to how the dagger was twisted, and the moment he grabbed the dagger, he dropped to the floor and slid into a roll, but before crashing into the wall, he supported the roll by bouncing backward and pressing his feet into the waffle iron.

That allowed him to swiftly prepare for a launch, which he did by rolling to the side and punching forward.

Ayana moved forward, but Shigeru vanished and flickered from behind her, so she was caught off guard. Shigeru, on the other hand, stretched his left leg and banged it on Ayana's back. She was flung forward into the ground and smacked with the floor, completely ruining it.

The metal was bent even more, and she rose up in less than a second and absorbed her green energy, which increased her force, and the room began to tremble, with the metal bending even more.

Shigeru slipped to the side to avoid a growing force, and the floor beneath him began to quake. He flung his body forward into a frontflip to dodge the impact, landed, and then rushed ahead, avoiding the energy pillars that Ayana's technique had generated.

"Simply put, stop moving! I have to execute you!" Shigeru had been using his momentum to closing in on Ayana while she screamed violently.

He rotated his body while hopping and then hurled the dagger before reaching her. It flew, and Ayana became enraged as a result. "You filthy rotter! That's another blunder!"

She ducked with a loud yell, and the dagger went over her head, cutting her hair, and her eyes shook at the sight of a man shadow in front of her.

It was Shigeru's, and he materialized behind her, seizing the blade and shining yellow in his right eye.

"What a tragedy... evil's soul is going to Hell,"

Those words rang in Ayana's head, and she soon felt a sharp instrument slicing across the back of her neck. Her eyes grew lifeless, and her body dropped on the floor in an instant, her blood splattering on the ground and staining Shigeru's clothes and face.

After staring down at her, he wiped the blood off his clothing, which was flapping in the wind. He breathed and twirled the dagger to get rid of the blood before putting it into his belt.

"... I'm an assassin... I prefer to operate in the shadows..."

With those remarks, he turned around, and Shion and Yumi dashed into the room.

"Oh my god! You had a horrible room, and this place is a shambles!" Yumi exclaimed.

They also discovered Ayana, who was resting in her own blood on the floor. "I'm guessing you did this, so Elliot is on the second floor?"

Shigeru claimed as he stared at the corpse. "You're right..."

Alpha and Yujiro, who were almost equal in power, had been flirting with each other.

Alpha spoke after wiping the blood from her chin. "That's kind of cute, don't you think? To equal my might, you had to employ Kodachi and that mask..."

Yujiro had been staring to the side, and his hair had begun to turn black as he was doing so. "What the hell is going on?" says the narrator.

Yujiro drew his left hand into his pockets and closed his eyes.

"My hair was black and my eyes were crimson when I was in my own body... this signifies that your friend's Spirit is slowly slipping away, and there will be no way to save him... With his might behind me, I'll finally be able to be myself. I'm going to live forever! I'm going to annihilate every Duelist on the planet! I'm going to be the Dueling King!"

Alpha's mind was thoroughly stressed after seeing that his mask had cracked, and his eyes were becoming psychotic.

"Such... strength..."

Yujiro laughed as he peered into his own palm and released the black energy.

"It's brimming with willpower... I never imagined I'd be in such a position of power! I'm going to abuse it to the most extent possible! This body's loneliness will soon be overwhelmed with misery! It's bursting at the seams with limitless power!"

His voice began to stutter, and his eyes began to tremble as he laughed.

"I'm going to make everyone miserable, and I'm going to help them by making them fearful... I'm going to slash and dice their minds, filling them with despair! But don't be concerned..."

His pupils were gently swirling and his eyes were wide open.

"Nothing will be left for you to do! Even if it means killing me! Your buddy will never come back! His body belongs to me!"

"Hahahaha, hahahahahaha, hahaha, hahahahaha, hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!"

Alpha was feeling apprehensive, and she observed Yujiro lean forward at the same time.

"Despair, Despair, AND ONLY Despair! That'll be the only feeling you'll ever have!"

"Hahahahahaha, hahahahahahahahahahaha, hahahahahaha!!!!!!"

Yujiro raised Alpha's body high in the air and faced the ground in an instant.

"Such craving for DESPAIR! It's the only thing that gets me through the day! At the end of the day, that is the only emotion this world will feel!!!"

"Hahahahaha, hahahahahahahahahahaha, hahahahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I'M GOING TO HELL! AHAHAHAHAHA, HAHAHAHA!!!"

The blue flames erupted and ignited Alpha's body, and he slammed down in an instant.

Elliot and the others had been in the most unpleasant situation while Alpha was engaged in fierce combat.

Kunio rose up, his jaws bleeding, and raggedly looked forward. "You... moron... you've harmed my key body portion of my ability! I'm going to slay you the same way you slaughtered me! I'M GOING TO SLAUGHTER YOUR BODY!"

Elliot immediately prepared to dash ahead and raised his electricity, halting the Hyperdrive technique, and both of them dashed forward at the same time.

They were getting closer, and Ellio had already pulled his sword past his left hip, while Kunio had moved his blade past his chest. "You're DEAD!"

He screamed, but everything changed in an instant.

The roof shaking was noticed by both of them, and it happened so quickly. The rounded portion of the ceiling exploded, and blue flames raged, echoing with a psychotic laugh.

Yujiro was grasping Alpha's face and falling as a meteor emerged, surprising Elliot and Kunio and pulling them back.

Two bodies smashed into one other, and Alpha's body was slammed against the metal. Blue flames burnt the room and metal, trapping everyone inside; the walls around them shattered, and dust rose into the air in a second, accompanied by a large triggered explosion.

Elliot shielded his face with his arms, the blazing flames blistering his flesh; Kunio, Genpaku, Tomomi, and Nina were all in the same boat.

Nina was knocked back but was held by Tomomi as the whirlwind sped around the room like a cyclone, and the blazing flames spread across the room, slowly dissipating as the ground trembled.

When the dust settled, the incident that had just occurred and the dead that had just fallen were hidden.

Because the metal was already soft, it was forced into a huge hole, and everyone soon observed Yujiro standing over Alpha's body, grasping her face and staring at her with wild eyes.

The three levels above them were destroyed as blue flames emitted from his palm, which was gripping Alpha. They were pierced in a large hole, and light poured in from the second floor.

Alpha's garments returned to normal, and she was vanquished totally, while Yujiro remained motionless.

Everyone else was afraid and remained silent.

Nina was worried after noticing a significant difference. "I-Is... th-that... T-Tim?" His eyes were burning red and his hair was entirely black.

With his scarf flapping behind him, black energy was radiating from his body, and his aura was entirely black.

Yujiro let go of Alpha's face and reached for his forehead, looked up at the sky, after standing up straight.

"Alpha, all this time she's been fighting him?" Nina inquired, terrified to the point of exhaustion.

"N-No... that can't be Tim... he's nothing like him..."

Yujiro's eyes were shaking and his eyes were shining as he looked skyward.

"... the Despair... that's it, that's the emotion I'll give you... ahahahaha, hahahaha!"
