"Duel Lunacy, Second Part" (064)

The craziness amongst the Duels continued, and fighting erupted everywhere across the Spiritual Hoaxers' lair; Elliot was fighting Kunio, Kiyoshi was fighting Shijo, and Alpha was fighting Yujiro; however, Shigeru's opponent appeared to be struggling the hardest, and the room they were fighting in was pitch black.

The yellow glow continued to shine brightly into the darkness.

"Now that it's dark... this is indeed my personal field and habitat... it's time to perish,"

Ayana's body battled terror as Shigeru's voice echoed.

"Your combat spirit gathered enough force to damage the breakers in this room badly... How are you going to fight if neither of us can see each other? You've just brought the two of us to a halt."

"Do you think I'd turn the lights off if I couldn't see? That logic is illogical. I only did it because I am confident in my ability to see, particularly using the "Spiritual Vision" technique."

"A spiritual vision? So, what does that mean?"

"Isn't there a Spirit in every single person? Well, "Spiritual Vision" is a technique that allows me to see the heat of anything with a soul or spirit, regardless of the surroundings; whether the room is dark or cloudy, traces of spiritual heat can always be seen."

Shigeru stated, and as he looked forward, he saw a spiritual physique that continued to shine through through the darkness. "... "Spiritual Vision"... tsch, I suppose you have some type of notion... but even if you can track me down, there's no way you'll be able to view the room... it's devoid of spirituality."

"Yes, that's true. But do you really think I wouldn't remember the exact placement of the room?"

"Hu-Huh?" Shigeru closed in on Ayana in a flash of the step, and as she stood still, she just feel Shigeru's body near her front.

From the back to the front, he smacked his ankle into Ayana's face in a cycling motion.

Ayana's body was slid to the side when she was hit, and she immediately swept her right arm in front of her chest, unleashing a dazzling green light that caused a little amount of light. Shigeru crept up behind her and kneeled her in the back, causing her torso to swing forward, causing her assault to miss.

Shigeru gripped the top of her head and forehead and yanked her full weight backward at that same instant. With the echoes constantly bouncing across the vast space, he was able to slam her against the ground, causing the ground to shatter.

Shigeru then leaped into the air and threw his left arm back, palm towards the ceiling, in celebration of his victory. He began to absorb the darkness and, with the help of electricity, began to form a black sphere.

He hurled the black orb as it began flying at high speed, accelerating to the left and then back to the right after he increased the pressure on his swing. It zigzagged, and Ayana picked up on it quickly.

She leaped to her feet and dodged the ball, which smacked into the floor and exploded into lightning.

When he noticed Ayana had moved, he flew through the air with an outstretched right leg, crashing his sole into her face and knocking her back again, before landing on the ground.

Ayana threw herself into a roll and landed in a crouching position, and to keep from sliding back, she pressed her right palm against the metal, which became heated due to the speed of her palm.

She came to a halt in front of the wall and inhaled deeply after scorching her own arm and feeling pain.

("If he can see everything, there has to be something I can do to brighten the place up.")

And she recalled the exact moment she considered locating a light source. She snatched the handle and yanked the entire door open, and because there was light in the corridor, it shone brightly inside the chamber, allowing air to flow in.

Shigeru realized that he couldn't close the door because she had pulled it open, thus he was caught at a stop several meters away.

"There... now attempt to take advantage of the darkness!"

Ayana was sweating from the pain she was in, so she summoned a blast in her right arm and tossed her palm forward to face the wall. She fired the green blast, which collided with the wall and detonated, forcing the entire wall to collapse and open a huge hole on the outside.

The wind drove in, causing their clothes and hair to wave and causing rubble to be thrown away.

"You claimed to remember the entire room, but it appears that you overlooked the most significant aspect... the entrance. How do you think it's going now?"

Shigeru sighed as his hair continued to wave. "It doesn't matter... the darkness wasn't much of a help in the first place..." When a black dagger appeared in his grip, he moved his arm forward.

He took a step back, spinning the dagger in his right hand. "After all, you're weaker than me, so the main reason I'm succeeding is that you're weaker than me."

"Those salty words are going to consume you!" Ayana ran forward with an angry attitude and vanished in a flash, reappearing in front of Shigeru and then kicking forward. Shigeru defended himself by raising his right arm, which carried the dagger, and then spotted Ayana spinning her body and kicking again.

Shigeru dodged and shoved the leg away, then prepared to sweep his dagger across Ayana's back while stepping beneath her.

Of course, she didn't want to suffer any more pain, so she vanished and avoided, leading Shigeru to come to a stop on the spot, at which point Ayana swiped her blade and had Shigeru turn around.

He defended himself by ramming his dagger into the longer blade, then bracing himself for the next strike from Ayana. She thrust her blade forward, and because Shigeru was in an awkward position, he only had a few seconds to react, and he was kicked in the chest and pushed back.

"I thought you claimed you could beat me..." She laughed and noticed Shigeru had come to a halt.

Meanwhile, Kiyoshi had progressed to a point where he was confident that he could defeat Shijo.

After ducking beneath the buffy punch, he rapidly smashed his fist into Shijo's jaw, jumping further up and causing both of them to be teleported to the ceiling, where Kiyoshi twisted and kicked with an extending leg.

Shijo's body twisted, and Kiyoshi flipped forward and rammed his ankle into Shijo's stomach, pushing him to the ground and falling on his torso.

When Kiyoshi saw Shijo try to punch him, he sprang into the air and flipped back, teleporting back to the ground.

"You slim human, your speed is incredible, and the intelligence level with which you learned to go through the Gyrate Room is fascinating..."

Shijo took a step forward and clapped both fists together after speaking those words. "But your path comes to an end here!" Shijo vanished as he heard Kiyoshi's words. "I appreciate the compliment, but-"

When Shijo arrived in front of him with the gathered force, Kiyoshi leaped and rolled his body over Shijo's beefy arm, facing the floor.

"-your path, not mine, comes to an end here."

He smacked Shijo in the face and then vanished in crimson, landing behind Shijo and grabbing the sword with both hands, stabbing forward and sticking the sharp blade through the back and out of the chest.

Shijo's body became immobile as the blood squirted out, and the pain rendered him immobile. Kiyoshi struck the rear of Shijo's strong body with his sole and twisted the blade. Because of the heaviness of the blade lodged in Shijo's back, Kiyoshi had to use his feet as support to draw it out and then slipped back.

Shijo's back burst in blood, and his entire body began to tremble violently.

"Grrrhhh! Damn it!" Shijo's scream resonated throughout the room, and Kiyoshi covered his ears as it did so. "You're going to feel Genpaku's wrath! There will be repercussions for what you did to me!"

Shijo's body bled out completely in an instant, his buff body slumped to the floor as a result of the severe damage.

After wiping away the blood and perspiration, Kiyoshi's bottom clapped on the floor.

"I still can't believe I pulled it off... I never imagined I'd have to fight someone in such an unusual setting... I was sure I'd die fighting this creep... but now that it's over, I'm curious how others are faring."

Kiyoshi turned back to the back door, hoping for the best.

Elliot and Kunio, on the other hand, were still fighting.

Elliot bridged the gap between Kunio and the ground by disappearing in electricity. He soon noticed Kunio pointing his hand forward, through which a long tongue continued to slither out.

Elliot stiffened his position and shielded his ears as a deafening shriek erupted, spinning around him. The loud and excruciating screech continued to slam against Elliot, driving the anguish into his body and causing his garments to waver as a result of the tremendous pressure.

On the other side, Tomomi and Nina had been covering their ears as well.

"This is insanely loud! Even if I'm in the farthest corner of the room! I can't help but wonder how Elliot feels while inside of that technique!"

"I'm not used to hearing such loud noises... I generally play games in a quiet environment, but I wouldn't be able to stand up to this..." In a circumstance like this, Tomomi reported that Elliot tried his hardest to remain cool.

"Damn it! With this tremendous noise, I can't even think! Simply turn it DOWN!!" But, unable to escape the sensations, Elliot cautiously reached out with his left arm. "My ears feel like they're going to pop, ugh!" His voice was hardly audible, and the yellow energy appeared as he was sacrificing his right arm.

"God...speed..."

Yellow electricity encircled his body, but it was quickly dispelled by the loud bang, prompting Kunio to thrust his second palm forward, ratcheting up the pressure on his attack.

"JUST stop!! That's excessive! I'm going to explode!" Elliot immediately covered both of his ears, but it was hard for him to resist the attack... slowly, his body began to be forced back.

Kunio's trouser sleeves raised at the same time, and both of his lips on the knees began to open, and he stepped together, adding two more vibrations that became even stronger.

Elliot's body began to shake, and he felt as if he was being dragged down the cliff by a blizzard.

Elliot kept his mouth shut, but it didn't help; instead, his ears began to bleed, and blood began to flow down his palms and hands.

"How can this ASSHOLE ignore the sound!?! It's so loud!!! It's hearable throughout the entire hideaway!"

What Elliot stated was accurate... everyone, even Kiyoshi and Shigeru, as well as Shion and Yumi, were able to hear the vibrations via other rooms and were obliged to cover their ears.

"It's got to be that third lieutenant, the one who forced Saraki to capitulate!" Shion screamed as he stood close to Yumi, who was kneeling on the floor and completely covered her ears.

Shigeru was gripping his ears and shaking his mouth at the same time because he was irritated. "I'm barely able to move... it's forcing me to remain motionless..."

"What's going on? Is there a problem with someone's ears?" Ayana laughed, her hips clenched.

"How can you even ignore the noise?"

"I'm not ignoring anything... it's simply that we have something really valuable within our ears... see?" Ayana leaned in close and demonstrated her ear sponges. "We never have to worry about the loudness because all of the lieutenants have it... especially when he utilizes all six of his mouths."

Shigeru couldn't hear her, so all he saw was Ayana sprinting forward and slamming her foot into Shigeru's chest, knocking him back down the stairwell.

Elliot, on the other hand, was trembling much more than usual. "If this keeps going on, I'm going to go deaf!" Even Nina was yelling, and Tomomi was covering her ears with her hands, shaking.

Everyone was losing their calm under the pressure of the loud vibrations coming from Kunio's five mouths, and even Elliot, who was the closest and in the most pain, was suffering.

("Something has to be done to put a stop to it... I have to because if I don't, the vibrations will lead us to die!.")

To be continued...
