you know a vampire in dc isn't a bad idea but it depends on the type of vampire we are talking about if he is like alucard from helsing then maybe i might give it a try otherwise I don't see the point of having a weak mc in a universe that faces apocalypse on daily bases
Alucard is the upper limit of MC's ability, he'll get there when he drinks enough blood.

is it a single female lead or harem?
I usually prefer writing Non-harem fics, but here the MC's a vamp, so it will be a kinda harem...a buffet would be more exact.

I prefer writing No-Harem, but since MC is a vamp there is no avoiding the harem route.

I don't see the tag, so I will risk it and ask. Is this harem? While I am against harem, it's hard to believe that there is an author that makes the mc a vampire and doesn't make him abuse his powers to catch them all.
Does feeding count? MC won't have a 'harem' as much as a bunch of girls he uses as blood banks (blood dolls, if you're familiar with Vampire the Masquerade) some of them have a pseudo-romantic relationship with while others are just there to get him fed or be used as assets if he can get away with it. The proper romantic interest will either be Supergirl or Wonder Woman, though he'll mess around plenty till then, no mind control though (He does use emotional manipulation to awe/scare/comfort folks though, but that's about it.) Still, the story is ongoing and it will depend on what John ends up doing (I never know in advance, sometimes he decides to help someone and other times he gets tempted and ends up ruining lives.) In any case, you might want to wait a few more chapters before reading, I'll have a clearer answer by then.

All kinds of people in the buffet, and MC doesn't really belong in either category, he is a selfish person whose goals benefit normal folks massively in the long term.

you can avoid it and not write a cringe plot by just having him marry in each life time instead of all at once.
