I like the idea of the story and the comedic interactions are really funny, but it just feels like the story lacks depth. The impactful moments feel weak, for example, the whole situation with Nami's trauma of the Arlong crew. It was done so quickly like the author was in a hurry to finish it instead of fleshing it out. This happens multiple times showing that the fast pace causes a lack of story development. It just feels that the story is lacking due to a lack of planning.

me gustaWell said, both Arlong and Arabasta arc are like that because, as One Piece fanfic readers, we've read those arcs a million timee, in a thousand different ways. I did that intentionally since I myself hated when authors spent 50 chapters on those first arcs that we've read so many times, then they drop after coming to the good parts. But then again my story is fast paced, only in the later chapters did I spend more time on certain arcs.
