A fun, if generic, blend of base building and progression. I’m keeping it in my library in case I’m ever in the mood for a change of pace from the stories that I regularly follow. My only complaint is that words are often spelled wrong.
I feel the same as many reviewers. It’s a fun story but the grammar is not good.
Reader beware: graphic child rape in this story The story was fun at first but the main character got progressively more creepy as the story progressed. The author lost me when the mc became complicit in child rape when the victim (a child) couldn’t pay to be rescued. Author displayed a further lack of taste by going on to describe the rape of said child in graphic detail. I feel cheated that I spent good money to unlock chapters and it led to this.
The writing quality is good and the characters are interesting. The story development leaves a lot to be desired. Per the author notes, “the story really gets started once the mc leaves the academy.” I’m at chapter 41 and I’m still waiting for the story to progress beyond the academy. At this point, it feels like the author is milking content to pad the duration without progressing the story.
The part where the protagonist discovers his powers is very interesting but the story loses the plot in the interest of nonstop steamy romance scenes. It became cliched and boring after the first arc.
I couldn’t put it down. This was good fun all day long.
The story is interesting but the writing is bad. The dialogue is awkward to follow because of all the editorial notes that the author leaves in parentheses. It’s almost like the author did an outline and didn’t bother to flesh it out.
The first “introductory” arc was great. It was focused, well written and moved the story and character development at a good pace. The ensuing story became progressively more bogged down in relationship drama, flashbacks and too much focus on side characters. I stuck with the story for a while in the hope that it would improve but I have better ways to spend my life.
I just finished volume 1 and there hasn’t been any mention of necromancy. Given that it is in the title, I feel like it is false advertising. At best, the pacing and development is very slow.
