Objectively worse & exceptionally cliche
Even worse if you're in OS school from what I understand. Since they have to represent the standard they uphold xD
You really can find some good works here & there, but yeah, there's definitely a picked up skill somewhere to sift through the trash. Plus, I primarily got into WebN for the fanfics, so doubly so on trash surfing, lol That, and you can also find online novels for free sometimes like Reverend insanity xD
Jesus... I knew it might be bad, but I didn't think it'd go straight into trash... How did the relationship between the mc & his first gf go?
I think its implied he can get powers through the system. Or the author may intend to have himself recieve tech & skills from the system instead. It's been a while since I made this review & dropped this story tbf, so I dont remember perfectly.
Love the work, wouldn't mind a little splitting from the story, but I'd still like it to stay close. Like a trip overseas or something & then he comes back, that one city street rat V went to in the game, etc.
A lot of people misunderstand the Ounisher tho, many times has he just snapped & mowed down people left & right in his mad pursuit of crime. He is mentally deranged, even more so than batman, so really, Daredevil is the comparison you'd be looking for. Ruthless, but not batsh*t insane
You gotta remember that the person who chose him for the experiment was a Jewish doctor who escaped nazi Germany. I don't think he really gave a s*** about skin color. xD
*Basically spoiler free review* I'd say give it a chance, but in reality it's kinda low quality in a shut your brain off kinda way & enjoy the simple humor/premise. The characters are kinda dumb or bland. Revolving around a couple of character points that define their personality. MC is a hero nerd disillusioned by the hero society that's less The Boys & more literal on how modern celebrities are used for politics & sex. But he gets the system & suddenly becomes crappy Bruce Wayne. I mean, there's no mention of him training martial arts & yet he knocks out multiple alien tech armored goons with an electric stick. I'd be fine believing this if the system gave him a base starting pack understanding of MMA or Tonfa's but nah he just can do that. It's then immediately followed up by the MC being pulse cannoned out a window onto a car & walking it off till he got home & healed. The author even has several instances of heroes, stream viewers & others asking how he survived that & then the author proceeds to not answer. Literally poking holes in his own story & then walking away. Which is kinda annoying if plot armor/weapons aren't your favorite joke. The author then proceeds to do some weird glazing for the next chapters where this 1900 viewer streamer suddenly becomes a sensation in his school, the local news, & even several pro heroes, despite the fact he knocked out like 3 goons, got rocketed out a window & limped away, ultimately barely helping the cops pull off the arrest. The MC also has a girlfriend who's filling in for the innocent girl who loves the MC no matter what, but is also getting dragged into the perverted hero business through her wish to be a better hero than the ones her boyfriend (MC) warns about. But the author makes her off to be stupid & naive and not to any fault of her own, but rather the story will flash a dozen warning flags in her face & the author just has her not notice or take the hint to gtfo. It might be more worrying or interesting if the MC didn't strike me as having absolutely no romantic interest in her whatsoever & only likes her for the convenience of her looks & her told (rather than shown) undying love for him. Straight up denies s*x at the start when she gets a little bit rough due to her new powers, making her feel self-conscious to which he makes a joke about, has multiple warnings or hints about her sketchy behavior as she gets pulled into heroism & shows no concern for his supposed lover. And yet it seems all everyone can focus on is 'she better not cheat on him/she's an idiot who should listen to her boyfriend' and I'm here wondering if we're ever going to see him actually give a damn about her. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was chapter 12 (I know, that's pathetically short & brings into question whether I even know what I'm talking about but hear me out). Remember those pro heroes that watched his stream? Yeah, one of them is a S rank hero who saw one clip of him on stream, suddenly develops an acute understanding of everything about him (eg. MC is a selfless vigilante who does what he does to be outside of the corrupt & ineffective hero system of today. When really the author kinda just ignores adding any real legalities or due process to any of the hero work shown that would be in place in reality. While the MC perks himself off on being a lawless vigilante with no training or education & a system to carry him.) Anyways as I was saying, said heroine? She sees one clip of him doing f*ck all & realizes she's in love with him based on that 24hrs later. And with all that I had read so far & the way it was going I just knew it probably wasn't ever going to be for me. That's my biased review. Do with that what you will.
*For reference on internal body temps, average internal is 98.6 or so, 104.0 is the temp where if you're not treated quickly, you could face permanent brain dmg, becoming a vegetable, or death. Saw someone with a 108.2 recently and all she could do was sob, ask for her dad & vomit on herself
