You are right, I hate MC’s that treat their parents like trash as well. When I was writing it I didn’t imagine them as real people though. More like background characters that only exist on paper.

Yep that makes sense. I haven’t really put a face to her. Maybe eventually I will but I think people should just imagine the characters as whatever they want them to look like.
