I love reading and can literally do it for hours.

At ch.20, you could finish reading the story. It could have been a short story with no problems. If this couple were a colour, it would be beige. I am probably going to keep reading because I am curious... There is nowhere near enough grovelling. The lack of communication is beyond almost any other book I have read. The main couple don't seem to talk about anything. Or spend time together. Or have a relationship. You could think they just happened to live in the same house and kiss sometimes. There isn't a very strong connection. He is oblivious about everything. It's like he doesn't think he has to say anything, every. About anything. She is a complete doormat. It's like being hit by the car and having a new chance at life was just something that happened. She pretty much acted the same. If it wasn't for her having a slightly out of character moment that had a butterfly effect on the situation, you could be mistaken in thinking everything was going to happen the exact same way. I think what annoyed me the most was that I can see the potential. It's not original, there is nothing new here. But even with all the similar themes, it could have been more engaging. The brothers's wife and kids were only in a few lines, but they interested me more than anyone else.
Has something happened to the translator or editor? Compared to the earlier chapters, this was more difficult to read.
How can a rich guy not get a test?! Just accept any rando as your kid.
It's a solid story, but because it's so obvious, the pacing feels slow. If you have read similar stories, by chapter 4, you will believe (like I do) that not only did Emily rescue him as a kid, that he has always loved her. Unfortunately, he is one of the typical ML's that thinks the MC will know how he feels by the power of his angry comments and frowns. Who actually would ever tell someone that love them? lf this is one of your first of this type, then it is a great introduction to the genre and reads well. If you have read a bunch, you might find it a little dragging because you want things to happen at a faster pace. I am enjoying it, but I will need to be in a patient mindset to read.
I wish I had the confidence to think I was so amazing that being my agent would be a reward for putting up with my rich sister. 😆
I can't pay attention to fully investing in the story because while I am used to some bad grammar or incorrect pronouns, about 80% of them are he. so you have the ML and MC in a scene, but it's all he, he, he. Or MC is thinking and it is all he. At first I thought that the MC was a guy that had transmigrated into a woman because of how much he was used. If it was just a couple, you could still follow the flow of the story, but it's so often that I had to read each sentence a couple times to check who was talking. disappointing because I can see the potential.
Ever since the morning in the car, I have been so confused by the attitude of the 2 girls. At the beginning, they were like the brother and protective of he mum, wanting to spend time with her. Then, they slept in. The dad had always woken them up, but didn't this time. None of the servants checked on them. yet they blamed the mum. Then their attitude in the car. The comments that she wasn't doing enough and was disappointing compared to the dad. It was her 2nd day acting as their mum. What was with the massive shift? Unless they had a nanny that was manipulating them, it just came out of nowhere. The mum and brother were in the hospital and they kept calling the dad because they wanted him around. They were not concerned about the mum that only just started showing them love and their brother.
did you mean empathetic? Or that they shouldn't have been so emphatic about blame?
I love this. It has gone straight into my top 5, re-read, must recommend, everything. There are a couple grammar issues, but not very often. Am up to ch 596, and it's not close to ending, so unless the ending is dreadful, I think this will stay a firm fave. Great characters and development. solid pacing. great humor. I literally laughed out loud multiple times.
