Your entire spiel can be shattered with one simple fact: there's nothing wrong with doing something different, but there's everything wrong with making something stupid and illogical for no reason. We're only 1,5 chapters in and the guy is already writing a DxD fic like it's xianxia. Because that totally doesn't immediately drop the quality rating to zero.
