Dunno what sort of MREs you were eating, because all of the ones I've had were amazing. Then again, protag is american and I admittedly never had theirs.
It got so bad that I eventually had to get some that were past their due date, as well as eat some MRIs, and those were just awful. But terrible food choices aside, I placed the ingredients into the bowl and began cooking the broth to make a simple pasta and tomato soup. The smell of vegetables and onions spread across the room as I placed them all into various other bowls and sections. - Djabilong3hComentado porI mean, I managed to burn water. That was not a fun day, to say the least. Now, I was slicing and dicing food as if I had done this my whole life. Even I found myself entirely engrossed by the process in both a small bit of all as well as a small bit of happiness at the level of skill I had. I had almost gotten used to just eating tasteless pre-prepared meals from supermarkets.

Due to my drop in origin, I did not receive new memories, but due to the family troubles drawback, it reinforced my older memories that I would rather not talk about or think about. You have a job that pays enough for you to live on, assuming you live simply. You also have a home of some sort, a cheap but decent vehicle of an appropriate type, and the various basic sundries needed to live. Basically, you have a life set up and waiting for you. The job will be something you are capable of performing and that works with your background, and the schedule will be flexible enough that it will not interfere with your normal jump activities. - Djabilong4hComentado por
Masquerade is nothing more than an excuse to nerf your character and stretch the wordcount a dozenfold. Instead of torching the entire town with a single enormous fireball over the span of a couple seconds, now you have to manually hunt down every single target for five chapters straight while pretending to be a regular mook. Oh joy. Then what's even the point of gaining abilities if you aren't even allowed to openly use them.
The other two just made sense as the secret society would hunt me down in my next world, but they would have to find me as well as identify me as a being that they would hunt down or look for. Masquerade is quite literally what any sane person would, as many worlds are not ready for supernatural powers to be revealed. - Djabilong4hComentado porOther than that, I made sure to buy perks that would help me in daily life, such as one that would make me immune to boredom through quite literally speeding through boring events in addition to a general increase in my luck. I would quite honestly killed for this type of perk.
- Djabilong4hComentado porThroughout the entire time, I was just shocked at how expansive these basic upgrades were as each of the first levels would give you at minimum disciplined or a trained level of human characteristics, which is nice as I will never be weaker than a trained combatant. After making my choices, I then went to fill out the generic first jump supplement, and this was where my spiritual mouth opened wide.

Using choice points, you can gain perks and items for every world you go to. - Djabilong6hComentado porNo matter what it may be, if it can be called a science, you have skills and knowledge equivalent to a lifetime's worth of study and research in it. This carries over to future worlds, but the extent of your knowledge and skills reduces the more complicated and esoteric the science in question get. You'll always have a novice's level of skill, anyway.

Sounds like a perfect perk to have in Marvel/DC to get that black catussy.
Heroes like you and want to take care of you, villains like you and want to abduct you. Except they'll be really, really unlikely to do any actual damage, even psychological. You have a certain... something about you, that draws strange, powerful and/or just weird people to you, like moths to a flame.
