Easily the best trial read book in this entire year. Very slow in comparison to the others, but definitely well worth the read, managed to read up to ch 173, and I finally get a full feeling from reading it instead of an empty, pointless feeling after reading a book that just copied another novel's trope.

Maybe he's trying to look out for the main character. The main character doesn't really have many job prospects, so it's good for the teacher to manipulate one of his classmates to give him a stable job?

I like how the main character is multiple realms ahead of his disciples and knows more about cultivation. Other novels make the MC seem like a scam artist, being barely a couple of subrealms in front of his disciples :(

Beginning is confusing, but once you get past that it's fairly good. The main downside that I saw in my reading was the lack of the main character having any characteristic or consistency in his progression. The story's development makes it seem like he doesn't really know what is going to happen next and just gets lucky with his cards and his ability to synthesize cards into the exact type he needs. Doesn't give that same thrill as other novels when the MC levels up. Besides that though, it's an amazing new background that held my interest pretty well (just didn't seem satisfying after a few chapters I guess)

Ye, definitely agree that the real world needs more depth added to it. Hopefully more emphasis gets put on the real world as the novel progresses 0_0

Translation is a bit rough, but accurate (definitely better than MTL). Love the story so far, but I hope that the fantasy world doesn't overshadow the real world in the story as the story continues!
