It was very good at the start. Lots of politicking and shady manuevering. Then the author just forgot about the MC's golden finger and also lost the intrigue that made it so interesting in the first place. From a unique story to just a bog standard fic. Wasted potential that one.

The early to middle part of the story is definitely the peak of this fanfic. The initial portion shows the MC's struggles as he does his best to contend against the formidable power and influence of the Third Hokage first starting out as a relative unknown and later on finding his first foothold as Orochimaru's disciple. Preserving Orochimaru's influence and finally standing on his own merits to directly oppose the old regime and take control of Konoha from the old guard. The later portion becomes a complete mess of a power wank and the interesting political intrigue and manueverings of the early days were all lost. The original charm of the story is nowhere to be found by the later half of the story. It basicaly just became a fight of who has the better Impure World Resurrection at some point. Now, my main disatisfaction are the following. First, the MC's golden finger the pay to win system is only mentioned in the early parts and never again at any point of the story. It seems like the author forgot the main premise of the entire story! Second, the author really did a dirty one on Naruto's character. He is an absolute braindead moron in this fic. Its like the author just chose the easy bashing route to justify his Sasuke wank rather than making an actual plausable reason to make things work. And yes, you know its a Sasuke wank since the MC looks just like Sasuke and has all of Sasuke's jutsus with the only difference being the Raikage's Lightning Armor and the snake jutsus that he used in the early days. Third, the MC is an impotent asshole. I mean that literally. The guy has been having sex with Yugao since he was 12 or something and later added Kurenai, Anko, Tsunade, Terumi Mei, and Pakura plus side chicks that may or may not be getting it on with him like Mikoto, Karin, Guren and Ino. But for a time period of around 14 years (I think) not a single one of his women get pregnant! I mean, wow. I understand if he was hesitant on starting a family in the early days when it was hit or miss whether the Uchiha will be wiped out or not, but even later when his position was stabilized he never bothered to have kids. And get this, his whole world unification scheme was under a bloodline supremacy platform with bloodline ninjas at the top, followed by secret jutsu ninjas, normal ninjas then all the rest of the non ninjas serving their new ninja overlords. Yes, all the daimyo wered killed off at some point. So for someone to have placed great priority on hereditary powers he does not seem to desire getting any progreny at all. Its kinda funny when there was a gag with them criticizing Madara for never getting it on with women when the MC himself was just as useless as a sterile brat. The ending battle was interesting with a couple of Ototsuki showing up to live things up with a twist that was a bit interesting, but honestly by the time we reached that phase I was just happy the entire thing was finally over. In conclusion, a very strong start, wonky middle and very bad endgame. The overall translation was also pretty average. Almost seems like a machine translation that only had cursory editing done to it. You can understand what's going on but its not consistent. I facepalmed a lot reading the name Hinata Hizashi and Hinata Hiashi for example. Final thoughts, a good way to idle the hours, but full of wasted potential.
