(1)System Aurora
Professor José was starting to become annoyed by the cowardice of the new students. When Alexandre finally volunteered, the professor shouted, "I'm glad there's one man with balls here!"
The professor passed his badge over a scanner on one of the rooms to disengage its magnetic lock, then gestured to the cot inside. "Take off your clothes," he ordered Alexandre. "Put them on the chair, then lie down in the medical bed."
Alexandre obliged. When he removed his clothes, the dim lighting highlighted his perfect physique. The young women in the group blushed and smiled, while the young men glared at the ground, trying their best not to feel inferior but doing a poor job of it.
After Alexandre lay down, Professor José rolled his eyes. "We need nurses! But fine, I'll do it myself." He shaved Alexandre's chest with a disposable razor, then attached over a dozen medical electrodes to his torso. These wires coalesced into two cables which attached to Alexandre's Pip-Boy. Finally, the professor opened a medical control application on his tablet and asked, "Are you ready to enter the wonderful world of Hunters?"
Alexander smiled coldly, letting his mask of innocent incompetence slip. "Show me the stars."
The teacher grinned, recognizing the gleam in Alexandre's eye at last. "Let's do it!" Then, with a flourish, he pressed something on the tablet's screen.
At once, the Pip-Boy became scorchingly hot, enough that even Alexandre winced at the extreme pain. "That burns!" said Alexandre. "Is that normal? It's like you're rubbing nettles on my arm!"
Professor José replied, "Yes, it's perfectly normal. Approximately 18,000,000 nanobots are passing from the Pip-Boy through your skin and into your bloodstream. It's like getting a tattoo, I suppose. These will control your transformation and prevent Virus Z from doing anything we don't want!"
Alexandre prayed that the nanobots would still work properly in his modified Pip-Boy, but he only had a few moments to think about this before a strange, tingling sensation overcame him. It was as though every cell in his body was resonating with some strange frequency, something unlike anything he'd ever felt before.
Suddenly, Alexandre's vision darkened, and text appeared in his mind's eye.
