Too good to be true...

Cyrus POV

I was surprised when Isabelle learned how to shoot so quickly. She is a hidden gem and silent killer. Though she may look shy and innocent, she isn't. She observes everything that is happening around her. Speaks when needed but at times she falls into a dilemma.

She is always ready to discover new things. She didn't waste her time staying in the room, instead, she decided to have a home tour on the day of our arrival.

She bonded with Nonna and Nonno, I had my share of doubts that if she could bond with Nonna and Nonno or not. But I was wrong, she swept all my doubts when I saw her with Nonna in the kitchen baking.

Now that she is here Nonno decided to teach her how to do farming and gardening. Nonno loves farming, he always wanted to teach someone. Isabelle happily agreed to Nonno.

She goes to the fields with Nonno then spends her time with Nonna making cookies and cupcakes. Nonno and Nonna love her so much, she won their hearts. They kept her busy with them for a week now, they didn't give me a chance to be with her except nights.

I lick my lips pushing my hair back as I put on my socks, I look at my phone when it started ringing. A smile grows on my face seeing the caller ID. I answer the call and put it on speaker mode.

"Hello..." I heard her cold tone.

"Hello, wassup with the cold tone?" I say knowing clearly why her tone is cold.

"Where are you? Aren't you in London?" she asks ignoring my question.

"Nah, why? Are you in London?" I ask her.

"Yes, mum sent me here to visit Elora and Xavier," she said.

"With David huh?" I ask in a teasing tone.

"Shut up, Cyrus. It's too awkward to be here with him and I'm done seeing my Xavier and Elora's romance," she says and I laugh.

"Aren't you talking with David?" I question, tieing my shoelaces.

"Nope, we don't talk with each other," Sitara said.

"Really? Don't you guys like each other?" She let out a sarcastic laugh.

"He is getting engaged with Sejal soon, probably next month."

"Woah, it's really happening? I thought he was going to ask you out." I stand with the phone and search for my wallet.

"Hmm, I don't wanna talk about it."

"Is he walked in?" I ask pulling the blanket away. I remember throwing it on the bed.

"Hmm."

"By the way, where are you? Are you in New York?" She adds.

"Nope, I'm at Nonna and Nonno's place."

"Reason?"

"I brought her here... With me," I tell her.

"Woah! Trying your chance?"

"Yup."

"Well, that's good. I will wait for your wedding news. Until then bye, they are calling me." Before I could say anything she ended the call like always. I shook my head looking at the phone.

Sitara is Elora's sister whom I met at Elora and Xavier's engagement. Sitara is like my long lost twin whom I finally found. She is the first person who got to know about Isabelle before Xavier.

I want to Isabelle to the town market and a cafe. She must be downstairs, I look at my reflection in the mirror before going downstairs.

I want to look good before her. I told her that we will be going out, I wait for her in the living hall. I look up when I heard her footsteps, she came down in a black off-shoulder top and ripped shorts showing off her beautiful tan legs. She braided her hair and her face is free from makeup.

She gave me a smile, I didn't know how to react to her smile as I was always blown away by her smile and eyes that I forget how to react. She looked beautiful.

"Ready to go?" she asked standing before.

"Ahmm, yes."

"Good." She started walking towards the entrance while I stand there looking at her. My eyes wander to her hips as they swing side by side in a tune. She turns around.

"Aren't you coming?"

I smirk for not getting caught but it would have been good if I was caught checking her out. I start walking towards her.

I took my truck out as it is the best mode of transport in this village. I started driving towards the town which is one hour away from the estate.

"You own all these fields?" Isabelle asked me.

I turned my face to her to see her looking out of the window. "Yes, they are taken care of by the workers."

"It is beautiful here."

"You like here?" I ask her. I was planning to ask this question later.

"More like love, I learned many things, people are so sweet. Beth and Pablo treat me like their person, I learned how to harvest and you made me learn how to shoot, it's beautiful to watch the sunset from the fields or spend tea time with Beth at the meadow," she answered.

I gazed at her to see her eyes closed like she is remembering everything in her mind with a smile on her face.

I smiled knowing she is happy to be here. I guess I did a good thing bringing her here but I know not many days left before she will be going back to her normal life where she is going to marry someone.

I removed that thought from my mind not wanting to disturb my mood thinking about that. "What you wanna do today?" I asked her.

"Maybe roam around the town, have a coffee in the cafe. I want the day to be spent lazily," she said. I hummed in response.

We soon reached the town market which is one of the site seeing of the village. You can find everything here from vegetables to famous pottery. It would be nice to roam around doing window shopping.

I locked the truck before going to where Isabelle stood. I like to call her by her full name...

Her gaze is fixed on the bookstore. "So, where to?" I asked her and she pointed to the small bookstore across the road.

"You wanna go there first?"

"Yeah!" She said pulling me along with her. When she pushed the door of the store the bells jingled, I looked around the store it is a cosy kind of old bookstore with a touch of our town's beauty.

Isabelle left my hand and went in search of a book while I was looking at her. I followed her as she went rack to rack. Why is she so adorable? I just want to bite her cheeks.

She finally found a book and I raised my eyebrows when I saw the title. "Don't judge me werewolf books are bae," she said pouting. I gave her a small smile not saying anything because how can I say anything when she is looking at me like that with that adorable face...

I paid for the book and the old lady smiled. We walked out of the store. The market isn't bustling as it's a weekday.

"I want to keep the book in the truck," Isabelle said.

"You wait here, I will keep the book in the truck." She agreed, handing me the book. I went back to the truck then wandered back to where Isabelle stood.

"Now what we gonna do?" she asked looking up at me.

"We will roam around the market or we can go for food," I suggest.

"I don't wanna eat now. I ate the breakfast Beth prepared."

"Okay, let's roam."

I stay close to her while she looks around in awe. I already know everything so It's no new to me but to her it's special. I watch her face as it glows when she sees or finds something interesting.

I even bought her some silver ear jewellery as she liked them and some rings. "let us eat something." I said taking her warm hand in mine.

"Okay, I'm kind of hungry now."

I took her to the town's famous restaurant. It's a small one but the food here is great. There is live music playing on. Our food came by, and I observed that she is quiet. She is happy but something is bugging her up, making her stay quiet.

I don't want to ask her while she is eating so I waited for her to eat up. She was humming to the song played by the young boy who is singing.

"You are thinking about something, what is bugging you kitten?" I asked her looking at her face. She was surprised then composed herself before looking outside the window and leaning against the chair.

I crossed my arms and waited for her to speak, "I'm gonna miss them." She let those words out in a small voice. I know what she is implying.

"I never... I never was this free, never felt this before. It feels like it's too good to be true. I'm scared about the reality of life back home. I just... Don't want this to end."

I didn't say a word because I know I'm gonna miss her as much as she misses this place. I looked at her face before getting up from my chair and going to the live band people.

I walked towards the guy who sat in middle with the mic in his hand. I talked with him, he stood up handing me his guitar. I sat on the high chair and looked at the lady who is staring at me with wide eyes.

I started playing the guitar and tuned down the song which I wanted to sing for her, I heard her humming this song. I looked straight into her eyes.

Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there

The smell of your perfume is still stuck in the air

It's hard

Yesterday I thought I saw your shadow running round

It's funny how things never change in this old town

So far from the stars......

She looked surprised and I didn't break eye contact the whole way until I finished the song because I don't wanna miss even a second not watching her face. After all, this is the first time I sang for someone in a long time.

Every word I sang is true I become nervous when she is around. It might be strange for me to admit but I guess she is more than what I feel for her now and I know she is going to be someone's in less than ten days.

I don't even know why I brought her here when she doesn't know who I'm and heck! she doesn't even know what my full name is.
