Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Meta Player

I died, I met an Omnipotent being, and he granted me some wishes. Pretty cliche at this point, right? Can't get any originals in these times, am I right? But that's where the cliches stop. Why? Well, what do you think my wish was? To be overpowered? To have a massive, useless harem? No, god no. I hate harems, damn it! (Ahem ahem, but some worlds are exceptions.) So what was my wish? Pretty original, I wanted to be a Multiverse myself! Not as in own a Multiverse. But as in be a literal Multiverse myself! Pretty cool, right? But what kind of Multiverse did I become? Simple, I became a Parasitic Multiverse, where I would send pieces of myself to different Multiverses and copy their sources of powers and such to make myself even stronger than them! Comics like Marvel, DC, Invincible, movies like Transformers, Godzilla, Harry Potter, cartoons like Rick and Morty, TMNT, Kung Fu Panda, animes like Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto, and games like God of War, Assassin's Creed, Devil May Cry! I want them all, I want every power available in each and every one of them! So I sent my soul pieces to every one of them! But not as overpowered beings. Nah, that would be boring. I don't want to just copy their powers, I want to experience and venture around too! So what about this soul piece? What's it going to do, and what Multiverse will it go to? Doesn't the damn title make it obvious?! This is the tale of my soul piece going to the Yu-Gi-Oh GX (yugioh GX) to become the king of games, and bring the horror and disgust of the Meta and Rogue Decks of his timeline to these poor souls! Watch as he brings them all down with 50 minute (hour, really) combos and makes them regret dueling! Get some popcorn, drinks and snacks, cause it's showtime!

CH 14: New Deck, New Combos

(A/N: Fellas, these two are my accounts in Master Duel for whoever wants to send a friend request:

-

Ali: 622-116-400

Alistair: 305-315-383

-

By the way, do you have any suggestions on what decks I should make? I've already made Snake Eye, in case you didn't know from this fanfic lol, am two URs away from Galaxy Photon, and am planning to make Generaider. Do you have any other suggestions for something good but pricey like Labyrinth?)

Alistair :"I'm a pro."

Zane :"What pro?"

Alistair :"A pro-blem."

--------------------------

"With this, I can special summon... say, this monster, Genesis Dragon." Alistair explained :"I hope you don't mind that I put a few other cards of my own into the deck. But if I want to show you real combos, just random cards wouldn't cut it. There has to be synergy."

[Genesis Dragon: Dragon/ Effect/ Light/ Lv 6/ 2,200 ATK/ 1,600 Def

Effect(s): (Once per turn,) you can send 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard to add 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can return all Dragon-Type monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck.]

(A/N: Let me remind those that have forgotten or missed this part for reading before I could change it. Instead of changing the effects for amusement, I thought that making it so Alistair bonding with duel spirits will have effects that will actually be useful for duels too.

So instead of effects being changed for no reason, Alistair is able to use his own spirit energy to change them slightly. And as his soul, which is Lv 1 at the moment, becomes stronger, the effects he can manipulate and change will also increase.)

Boy, did he love this feature of the system using his powers to change certain limitations. And Genesis Dragon was an N card anyway, so he only cost 100 MDDP.

[MDDP: 16,000 -> 15,900]

Chaos Emperor Dragon shook his head :"If it works better in showcasing your skills, then go right ahead."

With a nod, he continued :"Genesis Dragon has the effect of replacing a dragon in my hand with a dragon in my graveyard. That means I can get Kidmodo Dragon back to use it even more.

With this combo, I can just use one card from the six in my hand, Foolish Burial, to use Kidmodo Dragon and special summon Genesis Dragon and then make a loop of constantly special summoning other dragons from my hand, then even bringing out stronger monsters from my extra deck.

And if you don't like that, there's this. Vanguard of the Dragon." He took out another card :"This card lets me send a dragon from my hand to raise its ATK by 300. It can replace Foolish Burial, and I can use its effect to make it a powerhouse on the field."

[Vanguard of the Dragon: Dragon/ Effect/ Earth/ Lv 4/ 1,700 ATK/ 1,300 Def

Effect(s): You can send 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard; this card gains 300 ATK. When this card you control is sent to your Graveyard by your opponent's card effect: You can target 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster in either player's Graveyard; Special Summon that target.]

[MDDP: 15,900 -> 15,800]

Yet another useful N card that only cost 100 MDDP. Although its effect was meh for Alistair's era, it was hella useful for this era. Although it was N for him, it would definitely be UR or SR here. He could remember it being a UR in Duel Links, after all.

"Kyu!" Kidmodo Dragon, who had come out of his card, jumped around happily. For duel spirits, being useful in duels was their happiness, after all. So seeing what he could do in the hands of Alistair made him very happy.

Chuckling at his reaction, Alistair patted his head. But even though he had expected his hand to pass through him, he felt an energy cover his hand before he touched Kidmodo Dragon's head.

He stared in wonder at being able to touch a literal spirit, before Chaos Emperor Dragon, who understood his confusion, explained :"It's the duel spirit you have bonded with."

He got Alistair's attention, so he continued :"Thanks to your bond, you have also developed spirit energy inside of you. However, you are too weak to control it, so the duel spirit you've bonded with is guiding your spirit energy for you."

"I see." He smiled, touching his chest, where Poplar stayed :"Thanks a lot, bud." And in his mind, he heard the happy squeak of Poplar :"(Kyu!)"

"Anyway, where was I? He continued :"Right. But that's not the only combo for this deck. You see, I'm a professional in using not just my field, but also the graveyard. For most duelists, a monster going to the graveyard is the end for that monster's abilities.

Ask any of the students around, and you'll see what I mean for more than 90% of them. Except a few that actually have potential, that is. What I mean to say, just like with Kidmodo Dragon, the graveyard is like my second field.

And it's not like I can make use of it with just Kidmodo Dragon. And here's where the second combo comes in." Placing the cards in his hand aside, he grabbed another card :"Extra-Foolish Burial and Decoy Dragon."

[Extra-Foolish Burial: Normal Spell

Effect(s): Pay half your LP; send 1 monster from your Extra Deck to the GY. You can only activate 1 "Extra-Foolish Burial" per turn. You cannot Set Spells/Traps during the turn you activate this card.

-

Decoy Dragon: Dragon/ Effect/ Fire/ Lv 2/ 300 ATK/ 200 Def

Effect(s): If this card is targeted for an attack: Target 1 (Level 7 or higher) Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, and if you do, change the attack target to it and perform damage calculation.]

He didn't want to spend 5,000 MDDP on an SR card like Extra-Foolish Burial since he was going to use Cyber-Stein, so he just mentioned it.

[MDDP: 15,800 -> 15,700]

As he took out Decoy Dragon, the duel spirit inside of it came out hesitantly. It seemed to be quite a shy one :"Kyu..." But when he appeared and stood next to Kidmodo Dragon, the latter rubbed against him affectionately.

Alistair couldn't help but pat his head as well. The scene was quite adorable after all. With two cute dragons standing next to each other, he couldn't possibly not pet them.

"Basically, I send a dragon from my extra deck to the graveyard with Extra-Foolish Burial, something like Five-Headed Dragon, King Dragun or Black Skull Dragon that I luckily got from a few of the packs, then special summon it from the graveyard thanks to Decoy Dragon's effect.

This means I'll be able to use Dragon-Type fusion monsters without even using polymerization or having any of their needed materials.

Also, the opponent can't stop their attacks on Decoy Dragon, meaning they'll lose a lot of life points and their monster is destroyed in the process for underestimating Decoy Dragon. There's even a chance to win the duel right there and then."

Just like Kidmodo Dragon, despite being shy, Decoy Dragon also squeaked excitedly :"Kyu!" Eliciting a chuckle from the teenager, before his smirk returned :"But how about I show you what happens when I mix the two combos?

First, I send Kidmodo Dragon to the graveyard using Foolish Burial, which lets me summon Genesis Dragon from my hand. Then I use Genesis Dragon's effect to switch Kidmodo Dragon with any Dragon-Type monster from my hand.

Then I switch Kidmodo Dragon with the monster I discarded, which activates Kidmodo Dragon's effect again to let me summon this guy, Prime Material Dragon."

[Prime Material Dragon: Dragon/ Effect/ Light/ Lv 6/ 2,400 ATK/ 2,000 Def

Effect(s): Any effect that would (inflict damage to a player) reduce a player's LP {inflict/cost} increases their Life Points by the same amount, instead. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a monster(s) on the field: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.]

[MDDP: 15,700 -> 10,700]

Although buying such an expensive card hurt, he still had to because of how important it was going to be later.

"Prime Material Dragon makes it so I can't take any kinds of damage that isn't battle damage, this includes effect damage and costs. Which means instead of Extra-Foolish Burial reducing my life points by half, I'll gain 2,000 life points instead!

Then I can pass my turn. Prime Material Dragon also makes sure that Decoy Dragon can't be destroyed by effects, meaning my opponent has to attack it to destroy it. But because of Decoy Dragon's effect, I'll bring out what I had sent to the graveyard with Extra-Foolish Burial!

And believe me, you have no idea how stupid most people here are. They'll definitely attack him just because of his low ATK and Def points without even caring if he has any effects or not.

Also, if I had used Genesis Dragon's effect before ending my turn to bring back Kidmodo Dragon again, I could make use of Prime Material Dragon's effect to send it to the graveyard and bring out another dragon!

Such as White-Horned Dragon that I got from one of the packs, which can banish up to 5 spells from my opponent's graveyard and raise his ATK up to 3,700!"

As he finished explaining, he raised a smug eyebrow at Chaos Emperor Dragon's shocked and focused face :"How is that for a combo? And those are just combos that I came up with on the spot while I'm still sleepy.

If I put some effort into it, I could easily make this into one of the strongest decks ever. Now how about I tell you the rest of the combos in this dragon deck of mine?"

And so, he started explaining all the combos he had put together with the low rarity cards on the spot. After all, although he was going to put real effort into making this deck for fun, he still needed to ensure his victory in the upcoming world endangering events with actually powerful decks.

After a while, he finished explaining everything and leaned back on his chair, smirking smugly at the shocked dragons that had come out to listen as well.

But after a moment, Chaos Emperor Dragon suddenly broke into a fit of laughter :"Interesting! Very interesting, human! I have to admit, I've never seen anybody as calculative as you!

Just when I think you're done, you pull out another strategy! Count me impressed, because I've never seen anybody make use of every single card in their decks to connect the combos together.

Most of the time, the combos are separate. But with you, it's like the deck itself is a spider cobweb, with everything connected to one another! What is even more impressive is that you use monsters that would be considered useless by others simply because of their low ATK as foundations to make these strategies!

Alright then, human, you've passed my test with flying colors. In fact, you were better than everything I had imagined. So rejoice, for you have proven that you're worthy to wield my power, master."

As he bowed his head gently, the monsters around Alistair followed his example. Making his smirk widen as he leaned forward with elbows on his knees :"Happy to hear that. And believe me, you won't regret your choice."

"And I'll ensure that you'll have the strength to prove that." Chaos Emperor Dragon smirked back, before humming curiously :"But I have a question, master."

"Hm? What's up?"

"You told your friend that Cyber-Stein here will shine in your deck. Can I ask what are the strategies involving him, who's been labeled useless for causing defeat by just using his effect?"

Alistair's smirk turned into an evil smile. Chuckling darkly, he held up three cards :"Cyber-Stein, Prime Material Dragon, and Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula."

[Cyber-Stein: Machine/ Effect/ Dark/ Lv 2/ 700 ATK/ 500 Def

Effect(s): You can pay 5000 LP; Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck in Attack Position.

-

[Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula: Insect/ (Xyz) Fusion/ Effect/ Dark/ (Rank) Lv 10/ 0 ATK/ 0 Def

Fusion Materials: 2 Level 10 monsters

Effect(s): All monsters you control gain ATK and DEF equal to the difference between your LP and your opponent's. (While this card has Xyz Material,) Each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), inflict 600 damage to your opponent. Once per turn: You can (detach 1 Xyz Material from this card;) destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to this card's.]

(A/N: Just to clarify, Synchro, Xyz, Link summoning are fusion summoned without using polymerization. The Xyz Materials also aren't attached. They'll be explained as they appear.)
