Paternity and Other Matters
"Of course!" Nathaniel told his grandfather, appalled by the suggestion that he wouldn't do his due diligence in trying to find Gabriel's biological father.
"You did?" Magnus asked, shocked by Nathaniel's answer.
He was so certain that Gabriel was Nathaniel's son that it didn't cross his mind that his Grandson was no fool and would have made sure to check if the boy was his.
Nathaniel nodded and frowned.
"Do you have so little faith in me, Grandpa?" he asked. "I want to adopt Gabriel. I can't just file for adoption without knowing who his biological father is."
"It's not in his birth certificate?" Magnus asked, confused by the fact that Maya's family and allowed the boy to just take his mother's family name.
