*3rd POV
The car moved slowly, and from the outside, it seemed like nothing was happening. No sound could be heard except for the car's engine and exhaust, which was audible from outside. Inside the car, there was no noise either—not even the radio was turned on.
George calmly drove the car, occasionally glancing sideways at his eldest son, Georgie, who was gazing out the window. George said nothing, but the silence was driving him crazy. "…Georgie." he called his son, slightly irritated.
"Hmm?" Georgie looked at him with a smile that made George feel a bit guilty. "…I know what you're thinking, and I know what you mean by that."
Georgie said nothing, still looking at him to let him finish his words. "But you don't talk to me like that… it feels like you're cursing me to be dead." George said, shaking his head.
"…No, I'm sorry about that, but I said what I said." Georgie replied. "I don't want you to… you know… that's why what I said was harsh. You're an adult, so you can take it in stride and think rationally." Georgie added, slightly annoyed that George didn't understand his meaning.
"Like I said, I know what you're talking about. I'm a fat guy with a beer always in my hand… What I'm talking about is your attitude toward me. It's rude." George replied.
"I'm not Sheldon, who just blurts out whatever's on his mind, good or bad. I say what's best for you and the family." Georgie said, turning his gaze away this time. "…I know what happens if you keep living like this… It makes me a little sad."
"…" George said nothing and sighed. He placed his hand on Georgie's head, ruffling his hair. "…I won't die until you've achieved your dreams."
"…" Georgie didn't respond but felt somewhat comforted by what George said. "…So, will you work out with me?"
"…Maybe…. someday…"

*Georgie POV
Well, after he said that, I felt a bit better. We went back and forth about when George would start working out, and I just sighed when he said he'd do it 'before dinner'. But of course, he didn't say when he'd actually begin!
I walked to my classroom and saw Sheldon organizing his desk and pulling out his books. "Shelly." I called out, grabbing his attention.
"Georgie." he replied.
I approached him and sat down beside him. "Remember what Dad said earlier?"
Sheldon thought about what their dad had said but looked confused. "What? How do you know what Dad said earlier? You weren't allowed to eavesdrop on our conversation."
"…I'm smart. Of course, I know what Dad meant to tell you." I said, brushing off his question.
"…No, you're not as smart as me." Sheldon replied, dismissing me.
"Dad wants you to behave, right?" I said, grabbing his attention again. He stared at me with wide eyes.
"You didn't think I'd know what Dad was going to say before, huh? And you also know that I was playing guitar with Missy earlier, so your conversation with Dad wasn't audible because of my singing."
"…How?" Sheldon asked, now curious about what I meant. Well, he is just a kid.
"Let me tell you a secret." I said, leaning closer to Sheldon. He was slightly intrigued, so he leaned in too.
"Actually… I can read minds." I whispered, putting a finger to my lips.
Sheldon stared at me with a disappointed expression. "Really? If someone had a brain-based superpower, it would obviously be me who's the chosen one."
"You don't believe me, huh?" I looked around. "See that guy?" I pointed to a man who was daydreaming. Sheldon looked too. "He's thinking about what to do with his girlfriend on their first date—whether to go to a movie or just have dinner."
Sheldon still looked at me in disbelief. Finally, I called out to the guy I pointed, "Yo, Dave, good luck with your date!"
The man snapped out of his thoughts and looked at me.
"I think you should go on a movie date, try watching When Harry Met Sally… maybe you'll get lucky tonight." I said with a smile.
Dave still looked uncertain after hearing my suggestion. "...You think so? Is that movie good?"
"Yeah. Focus on the movie, and when she asks you about it, try to answer with what she wants to hear. It's a romantic movie with less logic in real life." I replied, recalling the film. I mean, how could two people who hadn't seen each other for years meet again, break up, meet again, then sleep together while denying their feelings, and separate again? Yeah, it's kind of romantic, and girls seem to like it too.
"…Alright, thanks, man." Dave said, though he clearly didn't know my name.
I turned away from him and looked at Sheldon. "See?"
"..." Sheldon said nothing, his mouth still agape. He didn't understand what had just happened. After glancing back and forth between me and Dave a few times, he finally said, "...How can you do that?"
I pointed to my head. Yeah, gossip travels fast at school. Even though this wasn't the era of advanced technology or social media, people still found ways to spread rumors and gossips to each other.
"Even though it sounds powerful, I can only focus on one person at a time. And right now, I'm focusing my powers on someone…" I whispered to him.
How cute. He looked so curious and intrigued by my story. "...Veronica Duncan. She's going to the cafeteria at lunch later, and she's going to ask me, 'Why did you call me pretty yesterday?'"
"…You're guessing the future, not reading someone's mind. Maybe she'll have a stomachache and won't go to the cafeteria, or maybe she's on a diet. What you're saying doesn't make sense." Sheldon said, thinking it through.
"Hmm…" I touched my chin, considering what he said. "...Yeah, you're right. But what I'm saying is what's on her mind right now."
Sheldon nodded. "...If you have superpowers, you should use them for good! You could read Stephen Hawking's mind, learn about the origins of the universe and black holes, and share that knowledge with me." Sheldon whispered to me.
But I shook my head. "I can't do that. Reading his Mind Palace would just give me a massive headache. Even with you, I can only skim the surface." I praised Sheldon, which, of course, boosted his ego.
"Thank you for that. My mind is like Stephen Hawking's." he said proudly.
"Fufu… Yeah." I chuckled. "Back to the topic… You should listen to Dad, alright? Try to behave." This time, I spoke seriously, and Sheldon nodded.
Would Sheldon listen to me? Well, he listened for about a quarter of his class. A few times, he wanted to comment on what the teacher was saying, but he held back, remembering what I told him.
Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore and started arguing with the teacher. I could only shake my head and try to hold him back.

*3rd POV
"What did I tell you earlier?" Georgie said to Sheldon.
"But he made a mistake, and Miss Ingram forgot something important too…"
"...Well, you can correct someone without belittling them. They're human too, Sheldon; they'll feel embarrassed if you humiliate them."
"They should feel embarrassed! How can they be teachers if they make such mistakes—"
Sheldon's words stopped when Georgie pointed at him with an angry expression. "Don't talk like that to someone! Learn to respect others from now on."
Sheldon gulped as Georgie spoke with that expression. "If you want to correct someone, do it in a way that doesn't belittle them. You can talk to them after class; they'll appreciate it. Or you can point out their mistake without making them feel bad. That's the bare minimum. They might still get upset, but they'll feel respected by you."
"..." Sheldon, a smart kid, understood what Georgie was saying. But his intelligence leaned toward IQ, not EQ. Unlike Missy, who had high emotional intelligence and could immediately grasp what people meant or the feelings behind their words.
"...I know you're a genius, but you're not the only one in this universe. If you went to China, you might get humiliated by them… and then you'd understand how they feel."
Sheldon simply nodded, eating the lunch Mary had packed for him. Georgie smiled, seeing him agree. "Sorry if I sounded harsh… but you need to see the world outside your head, outside your imagination."
Sheldon looked at Georgie and nodded again. Just as he was about to say something, a girl's voice interrupted them. "Georgie!"
Georgie and Sheldon turned toward the voice.
"Veronica, what's up?" Georgie greeted her with a smile.
"Why did you call me beautiful and cute yesterday?" Veronica asked, sitting next to him. She looked at Georgie with a frown; his words from yesterday still lingered in her mind.
"Why? Can't I say something true in this world?" Georgie said, still smiling. "It's the truth: you are beautiful."
Sheldon, watching the exchange, muttered under his breath, "No way…"
