Anne talked on the phone as she opened the courtyard door.
"Well, I know. You do your work. I'll be waiting for you at home."
After entering the porch, she put away her phone and walked to the kitchen with a bag in her hand. The bag contained some milk, bread, and other fast food. Justin had nothing but beer in his fridge.
They were supposed to have dinner together, but Justin had a meeting at the last minute and couldn't leave. Anne had no choice but to wait at his house.
Justin said that he would come back in about two hours, so Anne called the Capital Hotel and asked them to deliver the food in two hours. She watched TV boringly in the living room.
Two hours later, the takeaway from the Capital Hotel arrived.
She nodded with a satisfied smile. "When Justin comes back, we can eat... I'm a little hungry."
When she was talking to herself, the doorbell rang.
