Chapter 4

Class just finished and I am on my way to hockey practice looking over the positions of the players,it's been tumultuous with me being a newly elected captain I have to change some things.I'm concentrating on that when I hear,'Cute outfit where'd get it oh don't tell me ,the Lost and Found',I walk towards the laughter.

'I think you should shut up now because if you don't,the next thing to come out of your mouth are your teeth', I butt in.

'Aka remember when I asked for your opinion....me neither so go on being a loser and mind your own business.'

Yeah Aka mind your business and drink water.

'Picking on people because of their social status is so high school and messed up Eunice,you need to do some soul searching ,maybe you'll find one,you'd think with all of your multiple personalities one would be likable',I deadpan.

Kerry,the victim scurries away seeing an opportunity to escape .

'So you are playing mother Theresa now, does that also come with being captain',she spits the word captain as if it leaves a bitter taste in her mouth as she says it.

Honestly I initially didn't even wanna be captain of the girls hockey team but I was just so tired of defending the whole time much less loosing.It doesn't help that Mrs AshANut is forever making up excuses why she can't come to practice and when she comes she's smoking up a storm.

So Eunice as captain would draw up the game plan but there was a problem ,it was all defense and no striking not to mention she sucks and she's the striker.After a few games I was done loosing then I came up with a game plan then for the first time that season we won a match hence I'm the captain now.

It had come as a surprise but Eunice oh she was pissed and said she'd leave everyone paid her no mind.....sadly she's still on the team.

'No Eunice I just don't think it's right to pick on somebody you can see is struggling it's just low even for you not to mention it's so high school',that manages to silence her.We walk to practice and I meet up with Alex.

Practice is going wonderfully,the team is looking pretty good and Mrs AshANut is here today and tells me how proud she is of me and the team for working so hard, I wish I could say the same for her.It's not that I'm being insensitive but honestly everyone has problems and that should not affect your work ,if it does seek help and not let alcohol and death sticks be your help center .

Take my mom for instance life wasn't very nice to her but instead of being driven by life she took the drivers seat and drove her life in the direction she wanted.Now she owns one of the best Salons in the city.Speaking of which I need to see her.After practice I drive to my mom's salon.

'Hello my favorite mom',I say in a sing song voice as I enter the salon greeted with a waft of hair products in the air.Lizy's is a very prestigious salon you see this from the sign outside then you enter and it's just beautiful with state of the art salon equipment.It has a spa and right next to it is her boutique.

It has a black and white theme.This place is usually buzzing with activity,women laughing and catching up with all the latest gossip from Johnny the nail technician he knows everyone's business if you want to know gossip spend a day here and you're sorted.

'Hello my favorite gold digger',she says as she pulls me in for a hug.

'Now why would you say such a thing',I say feigning hurt with a hand on my chest.

'Ah your favorite artist just released a collection of sportswear and it's gonna be available for sale tomorrow and then you come with a grin plastered on your face and start 'dusting' my furniture honey please don't forget I birthed you',she says adding air quotes.

Busted!!!

That must be a shock.

Whatever.

'Yeah....maybe but that's two percent the rest is because I miss you',I try.She just looks at me knowingly.

'Help me lock up and while I think about it',she says trying to hide her smile.I hug her squealing then spring to action.
