Chapter 50: The Guardian's Revelation

As the team was making their way back, they couldn't help but feel uneasy about Akira's troubled state. They had tried talking to him, but he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.

Suddenly, the guardian Yokai appeared before them again while they were passing the shrine on their way back. "Greetings, travelers. I am glad to see you reunited with your friend," he said with a smile.

Kumiho spoke up, "Guardian Yokai, please tell us more about what you said earlier. What did you mean by a part of Akira's soul being shared indirectly?"

The guardian Yokai's smile faded, and he looked at Akira with a solemn expression. "Your friend has become a father, though he may not know it yet. A part of his soul has been shared indirectly with another life."

Everyone was stunned by this revelation, and Akira's eyes widened in shock. "How is that even possible? I haven't been with anyone..." he trailed off, realizing what the guardian Yokai meant.

Kumiho spoke up again, "Sora is pregnant."

Akira's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Sora's name. "We need to get back to the tengu clan," he said firmly, his mind racing with thoughts of Sora and his unborn child.

The team quickly made their way back to the tengu clan, and Akira rushed to find Sora. When he saw her, he was overcome with emotion and pulled her into a tight embrace.

"I can't believe it," he whispered, his eyes filling with tears. "I'm going to be a father."

Sora smiled at him, her own eyes glistening with tears. "Yes, you are," she said softly.

The rest of the team looked on, happy for Akira and Sora but also feeling a sense of concern for the challenges they would face as a human and yokai raising a child together.

As they settled into the tengu clan, Akira and Sora began preparing for their new arrival. The rest of the team was there to support them, but they also knew that their journey wasn't over yet. There were still many challenges ahead, but for now, they were content to focus on the new life that was growing within Sora.

Akira looked out at the sunset, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that there would be struggles and difficulties, but for the first time in a long time, he felt a sense of hope and purpose.
