Chapter 3: Yoichi Whitlock

"Umm, about it mom, may I ask why?", Yoichi asked trying his luck. "Yoichi.", Amanda responded widening her warning eyes. "Alright, alright. Just do as you say.", Yoichi insisted to prevent his mother to be stressed even more but Amanda was silenced for a while, bugged by her conscience. "Okay, I will tell you all about that necklace.", Amandanda said making her son smile in excitement. "...when you reached 20.", she added. "Oh mom, why should I wait for like a decade?", Yoichi disappointedly asked. "Get older or not ever?", Amanda replied making her son silenced. "It's simply because you're too young darling. But don't worry, that's a promise.", she added to see her son satisfied. "Okay mom, as long as that's a promise.", Yoichi said. "Of course darling. And about your school nurse, whose path just crossed mine earlier, I told her that your dad had leukemia when he was still with us, just as you will when it happened again alright? Let's eat.", Amanda said. Yoichi just nodded and went to the dining table with her.

Tomorrow came and it's time for school again. "Oh please, let this be a good day.", Yoichi wished to himself while he walk to school.
