Chapter 1: The Gamer

Note: alright people! Here is another story and it's gonna be unusual like most of my stories. This story will be MY take on the widely known 'Gamer Trope' where Ocs or Characters has their whole world perception changed into an RPG Style Perspective, I find this whole thing fascinating! So I decided to throw my hat into that ring.

Anyway as I said that I will be doing my take, I will be using a VERY specific game which is an anime. It's called 'Overlord' by Maruyama. some of you may know what that is, some of you don't however this is what I settled with. My Co Author unlimitedblade has greatly assisted with this story so do me a favor and give this story a thumbs up. It's a joint effort between us and show unlimitedblades some love because this whole story wouldn't have been possible without his help and our love for the Overlord Anime.

Anyway, now that I have that out of the way. Let's get to the story shall we?

A Blonde Man was sitting in one of the more emptier sections of the luxurious bullhead that took him and hundreds of others to Beacon Academy which is known to be the most exclusive hunters academy to which only the best among the best of the kingdom has the chance to attend.

Jaune Arc, Fifth Child and First Born Son of the heavily revered Arc Clan and known black sheep of the family was planning on attending beacon as well but despite not having attended any legal combat skills to claim the required transcripts so having to pay a mysterious figure named Roman Torchwick to forge them was costly but the amount was mere trivial to someone like Jaune.

Now here was the blonde man proceeding with his original goal of proving his father wrong and could be the hero the old turd said jaune couldn't, jaune would prove his father wrong.

Jaune was wearing a pair of black combat pants self crafted by the blonde man along with grey combat boots and black skin tight sleeveless shirt exposing his toned body and muscles.

Jaune sighed as he raised his left hand to bring it down causing a digital looking screen to appear showing the blonde man himself on said screen like some typical avatar in a game, each limb, Legs, Arms, Torso, Head, is labeled by the screen as 'Good Condition' with HP, MP and Aura Bars being shown above jaunes avatar and the warriors levels were exposed 'Lv100' that was located above the avatar but that was the max Level Cap that Jaune could acquire with 11 Years or 4015 Days of Constant Training, Jaunes stats were also located on the right of the avatar.

The Stats were located beside the avatar and the stats seemed to heavily favor magic rather than physical so that's an indication of what jaune is capable of.

Agility: 40

Mag. Atk: 90

Mag. Def: 95

Then above the screen were eight tabs with one 'Status' being highlighted to show it was being shown while the others 'Inventory' 'Quests' 'Race/Job Classes' 'Spell List' 'Party' 'Shop' and 'World/Local Map' remained idle and waited to be used.

This was all aspects to Jaune Arc's Semblance which is simply being called by the blonde man as 'Yggdrasil System' this was a gaming semblance and The Gamers abilities allows jaune to transform both his body, mind and perception into that of an RPG Style Game, so when normal warriors such as huntsmen or huntresses who spends years acquiring the skills and knowledge needed to become protectors of light and the people. Jaune however can achieve this level of power three times faster then beacon academy graduates by toying with classes, levels and items.

However due to this jaune can't acquire any more power naturally so being capped at level 100 and his chosen classes means he has no room for improvement on his end however since strengthening his current classes to the max meant the blonde man was powerful in his own way.

Jaune sighed as he brought down his hand again forcing the digital screen away as his thoughts had continued with his current situation which didn't really bother him as much but he feared that people would resent him because of his power or fear him to stay out of his way.

"Ahhhhhhh this is bullshit!" Jaune shouted to himself in the empty room on the airship so he didn't need to stay quiet "stop doubting yourself Jaune! You spent 11 Years, a full 4015 days of hard work training to cap out your levels! Along with an expert choice of magic classes, you shouldn't be worried!" Jaune exclaimed slouching forward as to keep thinking internally, ever since getting on the bullhead from Vale City the blonde gamer has been constantly doubting himself but he didn't doubt his power as Jaune can go toe to toe effortlessly against half a dozen Elder Grimm alone.

Jaune didn't want his power to push away potential friends and a possibility of a girlfriend however this doesn't impede the blonde man's goal of being a hero so remaining alone and isolated does little then just having social interactions "are you alright Master? Do you require anything from me?"

Jaune turned his head towards the new voice in the room which was a woman with long white hair tied in a bun, unnatural pale skin with piercing red slit eyes almost as if her eyes were peering into the souls that gaze within it, the mysterious female outfit was a Victorian Era Red Dress with Combat made red heels. Her name was Akasha Blood.

Akasha was a Vampire Woman that jaune created through the use of an Item called 'NPC Creation Kit', the blonde man claimed the item from a lottery called 'Gatcha System' which putting in a large amount of lien would drop out a specialized item which its rarity is random, there were two items that were one of the best items to claim in the system 'Shooting Star Ring' and 'NPC Creation Kit'.

Using the Kit would allow jaune to have free reign on building a fully sentient being using the Gamer Semblance full system and Akasha is also connected to the semblance so she can operate on the same level as Jaune himself however Akasha was only Lv65 despite having been created roughly 7 Years Prior to the present day, the Vampire Queen was limited as Jaune was.

"No Love, I'm Fine just thinking to myself" He said watching the vampiric woman nod at the logic, as she should, Akasha having been created as fully believed anything her creator and master had said because in her eyes the blonde man might as well be closely regarded as a god for giving life to her.

Jaune looked back to the window seeing many structures passing by at a rapid pace then hearing "Landing in Beacon Academy now, all students prepare to disembark" a feminine voice said through the intercom so jaune got himself up from the seat turning to walk towards one of the exits bypassing a hyperactive orange haired girl with a grenade launcher on her back and her silent companion.

Now the Master and Servant went through the exit to be hit by the sun's burning rays to which Akasha is feeling more of it considering as an Undead, the sun took more of a toll so to ensure the effects of the sun were lessened, Mana had to be spent "do you need to stay under a tree until sunset?" Jaune asked his companion as he worried for her safety despite being artificially created, she still was sentient as any man or woman based on the amount of information placed in her background.

The Red Eyed Woman had sweat running down her face much more than just having walked twenty feet from the docks along with dozens of other potential students "No Master, I can walk at your pace. You do not need to worry for me" she said even if her sweaty state betrayed her words so Jaune just turned his head forward to watch where he's walking towards the massive castle like school while keeping a sixth sense fixed on his vampiric companion.

Jaune stared at the academy with an open jaw to think his many years of grinding, spending and killing had all led up to his time to walk these halls that his parents had walked but just walking in them now would serve no purpose unless the blonde gamer can prove he deserved his place in the school "Now, to find the main atriu-" Jaune begins to say until a loud.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

Jaune instantly turned around raising his hands with an reddish magic circle appearing in front of his raised right arm, the spell was called Vermillion Nova, the strongest fire elemental destruction spell jaune held in his arsenal of spells, Akasha who was more affected by the sun had forgotten her nemesis to swiftly turn around to brandish her long and razor sharp fingernails ready to plunge them into the enemy only for both of them to see a large explosion further down from the school.

Jaune merely tsked at the sudden distraction the explosion gave so he dismantled the spell and the mana spent to cast it was recovered but kept his spells ready as he started walking farther down the walkway towards ground zero "settle down but ready your undead creation spells. A fight may be unavoidable" Jaune ordered his servant which she nodded.

Jaune reached the area where the explosion occurred maybe faster because the blonde man worried someone was hurt only to see a vial of red dust roll to his feet to which he grabbed and shook it slightly, Jaune never understood what made dust so special. He knew it was a primary component for society but for hunters it didn't make much sense though that may be because jaune used magic as his primary weapon rather than a sword like most.

The Blonde Caster looked up to see a white haired woman, shorter than him and wearing an elegantly made white dress "You dunce! Do you realize what you just did!?" "I said I was sorry! I didn't mean to sneeze!" The White Dressed Girl was yelling at another one who had a black outfit with a combat skirt complete with a red cape and hood, The Two Girls were arguing hard almost as if the world around them disappeared 'I'm getting a feeling these two will end up together at some point, maybe it's my love for Yuri. I mean, more than half the people I've seen so far had been female so a paradise for lesbians I guess but it isn't romance that I'm here for'

"Are you two going to argue all day?" Jaune said exposing his presence to the both of them which they both snapped their heads towards the new arrivals, the Snow Woman walked towards him smiling with practice "oh I'm sorry, that must've been a bad look. I'm Weiss Schnee."

Jaune didn't immediately respond as he was observing the middle child of the Schnee Family, her white dress to her very weapon. The Blonde Gamer always had a habit of observing, thinking and sometimes planning from what he sees and learned. It was due to this that served Jaune very well throughout his years.

The Gamer flinched slightly, unnoticeable to the two girls who were waiting for Jaune's response with Weiss feeling more uncomfortable by the man's heavy gaze almost like she was standing in front of a very powerful figure "oh sorry! I uhh...names Jaune, Jaune Arc. My friend behind me is a servant to my family" it was technically true, Akasha was made by Jaune to serve him so she technically served the Arcs.

"Pleasure to meet you, I am Akasha Blood." She said while giving a practiced friendly bow to her master's new friend which she often did to display a sense of formality and respect to any who befriends her master, Weiss blushed slightly at such a formal greeting then bowed to meet hers "Uh...Yes, Pleasure to meet you as well Lady Blood"

Jaune extended his hand giving the Schnee Heiress the large vial of red dust to which she grabbed happily "thank you " Weiss thanked the blonde gamer only to remark to the red caped girl "at least someone here has common sense around dust." "I said sorry!" The Red Cloaked Girl shouted almost looking ready to cry from such verbal abuse and losing two potential friends.

The Blonde Man saw the despair the red hood girl had so he decided to intervene "now , don't you think that's a bit harsh? Not everyone like Miss…?" Jaune said only to halt slightly as he mentally berated himself for not asking for both of their names instead of just one "oh! Ruby Rose" The Red Cloaked Huntress introduced herself smiling slightly figuring out jaune is trying to help her.

"Not everyone like has such extensive knowledge on dust so please be a bit more sensitive to the skills and knowledge of others" The Gamer finished knowing the Weiss prided on her knowledge as most Schnees did to be above everyone else so Jaune used this to his advantage to mend a blossoming friendship.

Weiss sputtered a bit before composing herself and gave a more forced smile "Yes! I suppose you're...RIGHT! Thank you for...REMINDING me heh. Now if you'll excuse me.." Weiss said as her smile as her anger soon surged through gritted teeth before turning around walking away with two butlers behind her "Pompous Blonde Asshole, I hope to never see him again, embarrassing me in public grrrrr.."

Well, Friends are a fickle concept so it would come to the point where making friends with certain people would not be possible.

Jaune watched Weiss storm away angrily while thinking to himself 'I could've phrased that better but it's best if her attention is placed on me. I can handle the negativity but Ruby looks like she's gonna have a nervous breakdown so at least I did something good' The Blonde Man turned towards Ruby who fell onto her knees whispering "Welcome to beacon…" "Not much of a welcome but I suppose that would be the headmaster's job" The Blondie commented hoping to lighten the situation before anything else happened.

"Thanks...Ahh, I was hoping for a friend. My sister ditched me at the bullheads" Ruby said slowly getting back onto her feet then looked at Jaune who stared at her causing the little huntress though his observing gaze was off putting 'Sister huh? Black Hair, Red Tips and Silver Eyes. I was one of the few to have left the bullhead early and I have not seen a girl like that except this one so Ruby's sister must have a completely different look.' With the Blonde Man finished his initial thoughts smiled at the young huntress "Well being alone is a bad thing so how about if I be your first friend?" Jaune said, extending his hand towards Ruby.

The Young Girl stared at jaune then smiled taking the Gamer's Hand "yeah ok! Awesome!" She said walking past jaune to which the Gamer Man followed closely behind while a digital message appeared that said 'Quest: Initiation' so Jaune pressed it causing the small line to expand to a full screen showing the quest tab to which several quests on the sides 'Daily Quest' 'The Hunter' 'Planetary Catastrophe' and jaunes current quest 'Initiation' that was also highlighted.

Jaune huffed slightly before swiping downwards to dispel the digital like screen after reviewing what objectives were left on his chosen quest then continued to follow ruby heading towards the main hall 'Well, at least I made a friend. but I would also need to expose my affinity for magic during initiation...Oh Well! Should be fun!' The Gamer thinks to himself with a smile.
