Before the second knock on the door, the girls had already noticed that Pannis was behaving strangely. If it were in the past, Pannis would have been clamorously expressing countless opinions on the menu. Of course, everyone knew that his intention was not to make adjustments but simply to create chaos. However, this time he was oddly silent, not even leaning in to join them and instead cowered away to look at a painting, the odd expression taking everyone by surprise. When the second knock came, Pannis actually rushed to open the door and revealed a middle-aged man.
It might not be apt to describe the visitor as a middle-aged man, for he was over sixty and should be an old man by age. However, his tall and robust physique, thick black hair and beard, vigorous vitality and authoritative demeanor made it hard to associate him with an old man over sixty. The old man gave a courteous nod to Pannis and softly asked, "K...cough cough, Mr. Pannis, may I come in?"
