Chapter 4

Ye Xi Yun and Yang Rai had a private tutor match. Designed to find out what would be best for Yang Rai to study and practice. The match began with Ye Xi Yun speaking.

"Yang Rai, I know you have displayed great strength. I want to test your limits and see where you stand. Hold nothing back."

"As you wish, Great Elder, I won't hold back and come at you full strength."

Yang Rai launched at Ye Xi Yun with an incredible speed similar to a peak of the True Element realm. To her this was nothing and she easily corrected her defenses. Her thought was maybe she should be prepared for at least that much strength. It was a good idea. When his fist connected with the Great Elders body she was stunned by its power. Her first thought was "How could he have such strength?" With the initial opening Yang Rai began to force his way through the fight. This was a rare opportunity to fight against someone who undoubtedly could handle it. As the great Elder was a 2nd order origin king, even if Yang Rai displayed True element strength it likely wouldn't do anything to her. It might as well have been a little fruit fly by comparison.

During the course of the instruction Ye Xi Yun noticed that Yang Rai was actually growing stronger. Not just with his cultivation realm improving but also his technique and rhythm. It was a rate of improvement that shocked her to the core. The match went on for hours and not only was Yang Rai's exhaustion light but his realm improved to the peak of the 8th stage Qi Fusion Realm. With progress like that just from a simple instruction match Ye Xi Yun decided to discuss the topic of cultivation method.

"What method are you cultivating Yang Rai? It must be quite profound to have to advance this fast."

"Answering Great Elder, I do not know the name of it, however it was given to me in a dream by the heavens. As the method complements my divine body well I used it."

"Have you discovered any bottlenecks in your cultivation as of yet?"

"It has been smooth so far and seems to progressively get easier. For now I'd like to keep it a secret as much as possible. I'm not even sure anyone else could cultivate this method."

"When you have time please write down the method and allow me to look it over. Perhaps I might be of help to you."

"I will go back and do this. Thank you for the Great Elders' guidance today."

Yang Rai said honoring Ye Xi Yun. After which he was sent out and went back to his peak. There he wrote down the method of cultivation he had received from the heavens. It took him a week to finish the book and present it to the Great Elder. Ye Xi Yun read through the book and immediately realized exactly why it should be kept a secret. The method was absolute and profound. One would have to possess at minimum a divine body just to manage the amount of energy in the body to begin with. It gave her a new found respect for just how well Yang Rai was doing considering he had been controlling at a minimum 9 times the Qi inside his body than the others at the same Realm. Truly a terrifying technique.
