I pace up and down the room. After three weeks of hacking, long hours of waiting, and sleeplessly doing research, I have found only two people with what I am looking.

"Raena! Customer!" The old man yells from further back. I didn't even hear the door bell ring. My fatigue must be affecting my senses.

I grab the two papers and walk to the front desk. One is in the states I definitely don't want to be traveling so soon. The other one is a toddler. Kaiya Riden. They literally had this photo taken of her last week.

Cute little princess. Maybe she'll help, aren't kids this age helpful? I wonder if I was.

"Riden, where have I heard that before?" I think out loud before looking up and it's the suit and tie, again, in a suit and tie.

He's been stalking us a lot lately I have no idea what he's after or what he's fishing for but I don't like it.

He throws a paper on the table, looks exactly like the ones I'm holding, only it's of me and I look really young in that picture, did my power manifest at such a young age?

The results are inconclusive, meaning I never showed signs of having a power after the first time it happened, though my power is easy to hide, so as far as the world is concerned I'm one of those people who had a temporary super power.

"Says here, you made wishes and they came true." The suit and tie gets straight into the conversation.

One thing about this man's manners, I don't think he was taught some. There is a flow in conversation.

An introduction. The body, and my favourite part of every conversation the conclusion.

He will first of all barge into your house, then skip the formalities and get straight to the point like you share a bed with him, I don't like this guy at all. I don't even know his name.

"Sorry, but not to be rude, please extend me a greeting and then tell me your name and surname. I don't know you."

His eyes widen like I just slapped his mother before his very eyes, I guess he's somebody important, too bad I only have one person important to me.

"My name is Kai Riden."

Still didn't greet me. What is with this guy and his manners.

"Oh? Any relation to a Kaiya Riden?" I ask and he glares at me like I just touched a nerve. He snatches the papers in my hand away and reads through them.

I honestly doubt he's actually reading, he has been staring at that paper without blinking. He looks me straight in the eyes.

His eyes life less. His aura so ominous I could barely breath the same air as him.

The papers in his hands are shredded instantly into nothing and my heart rate started racing when he took a step closer.

The old man walks into the room and stops in his tracks. He smiles at the suit and tie and I shake my head slightly.

Get out of here old man. Code red. Code red.

He walks away and I raise a hand, "Look, I don't know who you are, all I know is that I was trying to find someone with an ability to help the old man. He's dying and I'm trying to save him, she only popped up because she has a time quirk. I wasn't doing any research into you or anything."

"And what were you going to with this information?"

"I'd be direct, she helps save the old man, and I'll do something for her with my power. It would be a fair trade. She's a kid, I wasn't going to hurt her, just ask nicely and directly."

"And what exactly is your power?" He crosses his arms, but he's angrier then ever. Shit, I need to do something.

"I wish for a gun." A gun appears in my hand and I give it to him. Now I'm thinking about anything else I could have wished for. This is really dangerous. I panicked, I had every intention of shooting him with it, I chickened out at the last second.

He takes it and pulls the trigger carelessly. He missed by an inch. Maybe he didn't. he doesn't seem like an amature with a gun.

"Stay away from my daughter. While you're at it. Expect a police van to come pick you up. The data on your profile is incomplete you'll have to do the evaluation process again and information about you will be updated." He turns around and I wait for him to reach for the door handle.

"If you tell anybody suit and tie. I am coming after you and I will kill you." I am not going back to that place. Never again. I will never trust these government flunkies.

He turns around and holds the gun at me. If he thinks I'm joking he has another thing coming.

"Walk away and never step foot in this place or this means war." I threaten and he cocks his head to the side with a mocking smirk on his face. He walks towards me and stops directly in front of me.

The cold metal of the gun sends a chill up my spine when it comes in contact with my abdomen.

He pulls the trigger once and I feel the bullet in my gut.

He walks past me and I take a deep breath, grab for something to cover the wound and instead lose my balance. I wish for patches and stick it on my open wound. He shot me at point blank range. It went in from one end and came out the other end.

Lucky break.

I wish for a healing serum and inject myself with it. The wounds heal fast but not fast enough, I hear multiple gun shots fired from the back. I want to run down to the basement but this may take a while. Bright side I'll be good as new.
