killing the advanced desert worm

'She came back?' Kyle was surprised, seeing the strange naked lady back on her feets. But he was more shocked, seeing she was now rescuing him from trouble.

He'd expected her at most to abandon him the moment she woke up, as they'd just met under weird circumstances. and she didn't feel anything towards him except resent.

'Screech!' The other worm screeched in anger, focusing his anger towards the naked female. Opening it's mouth, it charged up it's terrifying soundwaves attempting to blast her with it.

"Don't forget about me asshole!" Kyle shouted, charging straight for the first worm. The little diversion created by the female allowed him to reach the worm, before it descended to the ground.

Grabbing the katana from the spot, he could feel the new found energy enveloping him. Using his strength he propelled himself with his legs, shooting form the first worm across to the second.

[Death's call activated!]

The small sized dark spherical spiked ball formed in his palm, as he didn't hesitate to throw it at the creature's mouth. The dark ball shot fast, entering the creature's hollow rows of death exploding upon impact.

Dozens of chains emerged, wrapping around the creature's teeth. Some sinking it's way to the skin of the upper and lower part of it's hole gapping mouth, sewing it shut.

'Now.. let's finish this shall we?' Kyle smiled, already landed on the second worm's body. With his katana, he made deep spashes to the creature's skin. Running round the creature with the same plan, while the naked woman had also switched her attention to the second worm, firing of energy blasts to it's side the moment the first sank to the sand.

"Scr-ckk!"

The worm tried to screech but Kyle's chains proved to be useful, as it managed to keep it from opening it's mouth for the time being. A strange blue blood gushed out from the creature's body fast, as the naked woman made a big hole at the creature side.

Kyle was also busy, frantically slashing the beast all over in attempt to try and find it's heart. He didn't know if his theory was right, but he gambled one out of the two should be correct, with the little he knew of this beast.

"I-i can't find it's heart anywhere here which must mean-" Kyle was cut short, when the worm finally broke free from the chains wrapping it's mouth, letting out an enraged screech.

'Boom!'

A small sized explosion occured, with the protrusion of the first desert worm plunging straight for him. It's menacing rows of sharp razor teeth directed for him. Immediately it emerged Jacqueline changed course, firing off at the beast.

Ignoring her blasts the beast charged forward, attempting to get rid of the one it deemed more potentially threatening.

'It's willing to sacrifice it's other head just to kill me. Pfft! Pathetic.' Kyle scoffed, jumping off the second beast to the first. Sinking his katana a bit to the creature's side, as he glided downwards the beast body drawing out some blood.

"Screech!!"

The second worm screeched loudly the moment the first collided into it, feeling the rows of teeth digging it's skin. Leaping back a bit from both the creature's, Kyle could now fully see their lower halves had emerged from the sand.

'Wait.. could it be?' Kyle could now hear the heart beating, was getting louder by the second. Looking at the worm's lower halves he could sense it, the heart beating more vibrantly at where they're tails we're meant to be.

"Jackpot!" Kyle smiled charging straight at the worm. The second worm noticing Kyle let out an angry screech, firing off the rings of soundwaves at Kyle.

Dodging to the side, Kyle didn't deter in his movement, making his way towards the beasts lower halves. The moment Kyle got close, the worm attempted to swallow him whole.

Leaping from the spot, Kyle knew what the worm was trying to do. He could sense it was trying to get away from him, by sinking underground. which would in turn pull it's half, and also shift the location the heart was to the ground a bit.

'I have to finish this now or I might not get another opportunity.' With the thought in mind Kyle blurred across the sand, with a big jump he lept to the worm's lower part. Using his katana he made deep slashes, furiously butchering away at the beast skin.

'Disgusting.' Kyle snarled in disgust, as the worm's blue blood gushed out from the injured spot. Once the hole was deep enough to fit him, Kyle didn't think twice jumping in it.

Slashing his way through amidst the blood blocking his eyes, he could finally sense the heart beating vibrantly before him. Without a second thought, he made multiple slashes to the worm's heart severing it into different smaller pieces.

'Screech!' Both the worm's screeched in agony, feeling their hearts decapitated into bits. It was one thing to suffer a slow death from blood loss, but it was another to instantly die from having your heart cut to bits while you're still alive.

"Screech! screech!" With two loud screeches from the creature, they fell to the ground with a loud bang.

Kyle dismissed the systems notifications that flashed before his eyes, planning to keep the surprises for later. Shifting his attention more in the worm's insides, he could clearly feel it. Walking on instinct, he followed the energy calling out to him and it didn't take long before he reached it.

"I can't believe I almost forgot about you." Kyle chuckled, staring at the blue beast core pulsing with power. Picking it up, the system message flashed across his eyes but he dismissed it. Casually walking towards the way he came, making his way out from the worm's insides through the hole.

"Huh? She's gone." Kyle muttered, seeing no signs of the strange naked woman from before.

"And she took my weapon." Kyle frowned, seeing she had also stolen the double energy beam blaster given to him by troy. He tried looking for her tracks in the sand, but strangely couldn't find it when his eyes shifted to the two holes in front.

"T-that crazy woman.. what does she think that is.. a jetpack?" Shaking his head he decided to keep on moving forward, since there was no reason staying here. What little parts of the village remaining had been destroyed from the fight, and he knew other desert worms would be attracted to this location, which he didn't want.

'On to the next village it is then.' Kyle sighed, sheathing his katana and strapping it to his waist. Stretching his legs a bit he shot out like a bullet, blazing through the desert with a trail of sand following behind him.

"According to the map the next settlement should be about 500 meters from here." Kyle muttered, observing the map still running. Unlike this village which was just 150 meters from Lumia kingdom, this one was a whooping 350meters more from here. More than double of his previous journey.

Though it wasn't that long considering his stamina, but he was exhausted from the unexpected fight. And his whole body was in pain with each movement he made, as he could feel he was still internally injured even though he'd healed on the outside.

"On the Bright side, if this map is correct there should be a small cave with water, about a hundred meters from here." Sighing Kyle then rolled the map back, placing it back in his pocket. He was surprised the map didn't got blown away, or worse destroyed from the sound blast.

"Huh. Maybe their pockets are much thicker than the one's on earth." Smiling a bit he pushed more forward, gritting his teeth through the pain and scorching desert heat.

"What's the update on the peasant?" Troy said in an impatient tone, tapping his fingers on the armrest of the throne.

"Y-your majesty the peasant made a stop at the forgotten village and ran into a-" the guard paused, hesitating about something.

"Yes? spill it out and don't just stand there." Troy frowned, his patience wearing thin.

"Gulp! He encountered a naked woman, probably one of those so called scavangers." The guard paused again, seeing Troy's reaction. With an indifferent expression, troy gestured for him to continue speaking.

"There was an attack from a lv5 advanced desert worm, but it was dealt with by the peasant."

"I see.. maybe I didn't make the wrong descion afterall." Troy inwardly sighed a bit relieved. He was having his doubts about sending Kyle, a peasant to rescue lumia, the princess and future heir to the throne.

"But.." the guard pulled troy from his thoughts, as he still wasn't done.

"Am sorry to interrupt your majesty but, I must report the peasant no longer has the beam blaster."

"What do you mean he doesn't have the beam blaster?" Troy frowned. There was no way Kyle could loose it nor it be destroyed, as it was made from quality materials.

"Judging from the screen sir, the beam blaster was stolen by the weird naked female." The guard said, making a vein appear on the side of Troy's head.
