CHAPTER 6. IS NOW ALESSIA'S.

'IT'S MY BIRTHDAY' Starlette declared. Dylan looked at her amazed. 'She's bold, stubborn and unwilling to back down. Exactly what the Midnight pack needs in a Luna' he said to himself. He turned his gaze back on his meal. Alessia and Odessa rolled their eyes same time at what Starlette said and Odessa couldn't help laughing out loud when she saw the expression on Alessia's face.

"What's funny?" Starlette asked but Odessa ignored her. "I said what's funny" she asked again facing Odessa this time. Odessa dropped her cutlery and turned to face Starlette. 'Oh boy' Alessia said to herself.

"I thought of something that's why I laughed. What does that have to do with you". After saying that she ignored Starlette again and turned back to her food. Alessia hurriedly finished her food and stood. "Thank you for the meal, it was delicious but I'll be in my room" as she reached out to grab Odessa's hand, Starlette spoke up "are you scared that you're dinning with alpha's?" Alessia was a bit confused. 'What is she saying' she asked herself. Anyways she ignored Starlette and grab Odessa's hand. Odessa understood immediately that she wanted her to come upstairs. Being ignored again Starlette was enraged but also unwilling to back down. "Atleast you know your place".

"What place?" Odessa asked her feeling infuriated.

"We are all alpha's and....."and so is Alessia" declared Odessa interrupting Starlette. She can't standby and watch her friend and her mate's sister get bullied.

"Is that the lie you tell yourselves?" Starlette chuckled. "She's obviously a weakling with no wolf, at least the Omegas have a wolf. So what group do you belong to Alessia?" Starlette asked looking at Alessia this time.

Alessia knew Starlette and her pattern of thinking, giving an answer to Starlette will only make you look stupid. Dylan was shocked but still didn't give out any expression on his face. He didn't expect the rumors about Alessia to be true.

Dominic was furious and loosing his patience. "Starlette that's enough" Meher said looking really pissed.

"Why are you getting angry? I didn't lie". She said flipping her hair nonchalantly. "I mean she had two options to choose from, TWO. Either a wolf or a witch but she decided to be ordinary". She eyed Alessia.

"THAT'S ENOUGH" Ophelia said looking enraged. She was done sitting and watching her only daughter get bullied. Everyone was stunned to hear her speak. She turned to Starlette "is this how you behave? We have a guest with us and you can't behave properly instead you're making a fool of yourself" she raised her hands to silence Elodie who was about to speak. She then turned to face Elodie "You want to speak up now?" She asked irritated. "What do you want to say" she asked disgusted with Elodie's attitude. "Is this how you raise your children? As a mother you watched your daughter misbehave and you couldn't correct her and now you want to speak? I dare you to utter a word. You better remain mute". She was livid. She turned to face Starlette. "That Alessia didn't say a word to you doesn't mean she didn't have anything to say to you but she was following instructions. You all were asked by your dad representing this pack as an alpha not to speak if it wasn't necessary but you did not only just disobey your dad, you disobeyed the alpha " she looked at her heavily made up face in disgust "Meher told you to stop with your taunts but you continued. You committed three offense and they are:

1. You disrespected your father,

2. You disobeyed an order from the alpha and

3. You disrespected the alpha's heir". Starlette was stunned in place, 'what's happening?how did this get out of hand?' she asked herself but Ophelia wasn't done with her. This time she promised to teach Starlette a lesson and use her as a scape goat, a warning to the workers around to never again mess with her daughter. Alessia is her daughter for Selene's sake. She turned to face Meher

"Make sure she gets punished accordingly" she said to him. He nodded his head. She faced Starlette again "do you know you disrespected me?" She asked her calmly.

"Huh?" Starlette was surprised how did she disrespect Ophelia.

"You called Alessia weak, which means you called me weak. She is my daughter, MINE". She bellowed. "Anyone who disrespects her disrespects me, anyone who bullies her bullies me and for that you won't be having your birthday party anymore".

Starlette couldn't take it anymore 'WHAT!!!! I WON'T BE HAVING MY BIRTHDAY PARTY ANYMORE' she screamed to herself. "You're not my mom, you can't decide that" she refuted. This was the one thing she has been looking forward to this year. She has tried as much as she could not to anger her father so she could have this party she couldn't just sit and watch it get canceled.

"I am not your mother but I am your Luna and a very powerful one and whatever I say stands. You won't be having your birthday party anymore. The party we initially wanted to throw for you will be thrown for Alessia and I dare you to refute me again". She turned to face Meher "make sure this change is made on the invitation card" and with that she stood and walked out. Getting to the exist of the dining area, she remembered something and paused "nobody interferes with Starlette's punishment process. And I want to remind all of you that most people gets their element late, it has been heard of". She turned and faced Starlette "Alessia's not a weakling, if you're looking for a weakling then take a good look at your mom". And with that she walked away.

Meanwhile all through Ophelia's speech, Dylan's mouth has had a beautiful and not very visible smile 'she reminds me of my mom' he said to himself.

Alessia was surprised with Ophelia's behavior but she was happy, very happy. Odessa's face had the world's biggest smile while Said concealed his with his magic. Alessia grabbed Odessa's hand again and they left.

Dominic felt highly embarrassed with Starlette. "Dylan" he called out to the man. Dylan looked at him answering with his brow.

"Follow me to my office, we still have a lot to discuss" and with that they left. Meher left to carry out his mother's instructions. Just then Richard and Said burst out laughing. "What are you laughing at" Luxury asked them. They ignored and continued laughing leaving the dinner area. Elodie had a scowl on her face the entire time.

Starlette looked like she was going to pass out any minute but she suddenly stood and ran outside. She ran after her father. She saw him, he was about to enter his office with Dylan when she shouted "Dad, wait".

He turned and was surprised to see her as he wasn't expecting her to run after him. On getting to him, she grabbed his waist and knelt down " You can't let her do this to me, please do something" she said with tears streaming down her face ruining her makeup. He looked at her, she is his daughter but she isn't a kid anymore. She embarrassed him today "You offended my mate and the Luna of your pack. I can't help you this time, you're no longer a kid Starlette. It's time you start taking responsibilities for your every actions". With that he took her hands off his waist and went inside his office with Dylan shutting the door.

Starlette was left heartbroken, she felt wronged, empty and alone a feeling that Alessia was now used to. Even after getting to her room she couldn't get the image of her father pulling her hands away from his waist and shutting the door on her from her mind. She felt suffocated and aggrieved.

"What did I do wrong?" She said to herself aloud. "I only said the truth" she said not finding what she did wrong at all.

Now what was originally hers has now become Alessia's. Her birthday party is now Alessia's.
