There's an actual psychological phenomenon, that doctors believe they can't get sick. They usually build up a false sense of security over many years. Due to the fact that their body has already been exposed to so many illnesses, they basically can't get suck anymore.
All it takes is a new disease or even just a mutation, and that immunity suddenly becomes useless.
