"So I hear that something has gone wrong on the front lines," said Danbert as he finished his lunch. He wasn't so bad once you earned his respect.

"I did too," exclaimed max.

"Apparently we are now at war with the Demon King now as well as the goblins," said danbert

"I just hope we get strong enough to make a difference," said max.

"Are you sure about this info?," I asked quietly. I had to go help when I got the chance to get away from school.

"What, yeah my uncle remus told me," he hissed.

"Let's just get to class, we're going to be late," said danbert. Now that I had been ranked 500 in the whole school out of 1,000 I had been moved to level 3 classes.

We were having class outside today so we met under the sun in the fields behind the castle.

"This is Xander teach," said danbert as he introduced a woman in plain knights armor to me.

"It's good to meet you, I'm Exalia," she exclaimed

"You must be the Prodigy, Class this is our new student Xander!," she said as continued.

Mission: Low profile

Summary: Keep a low profile in this fight to avoid being discovered by the Demon King and putting the city in danger.

"Are we still learning blade styles today teach," said danbert.

"Everyone imagine an element encircling your blade. There is fire, water, earth, and air," said Exalia. As much as some tried only one person in the class was able to get it.

"Hmm, seems some are having trouble,"

"I got it," I said as orange flames danced around my blade.

"Be careful with waving it around while it's not condensed. Now remember, blade styles need a continuous amount of mana," said Exalia

"Alright Looks like only two of you can hold it reliably, Xander and Tanzen to your corners!," continued Exalia.

Tanzen was an blue haired guy about my build except he was carrying a blade that had water encircling it. He had on light blue armor with a gold lion insignia. He was a noble. From what I had heard he was the pinnacle of Level 3s in the academy and was close to reaching a breakthrough to level 4

"Top of the class vs The New Prodigy, Alright now we're talking," boomed danbert.

"Begin," commanded Exalia. We started about 20 feet away from each other. First he began walking...

"Let's see what you've got new kid," said Tanzen as he began jogging then disappeared into a sprint that put up a dust trail.

*clang*

Our blades met and cracked the ground slightly as we exchanged clashes

Each time our blades met they cancelled each other out.

"Not bad, but how about this," said Tanzen. He kicked me back and I blocked with my blade then he took a different stance.

"Supersonic," he yelled as he lunged and closed the distance in an instant. He began to glow with a yellow outline.

*boom*

I blocked but he pushed me back with raw power and I hit the ground rolling.

"Playing Defense all day wont win you the battle, you have to be aggressive," said Exalia.

"Haaaagh Roaring Flame," I roared while I charged my sword with with mana and my orange flamed sword changed to a blue flame that scorched the area around it briefly before dying down to a manageable level.

"Take this," I said.

As I was doing a downward arc towards his head his blade changed. It went from water encircling it to ice particles like a mini blizzard around the blade!!!

"Blizzard strike," said Tanzen as he pushed my blade back off of him with ease. I was itching at the chance to fight someone strong so I obliged.

"Let's take it up a notch, Hypersonic,"said Tanzen. He started glowing with a yellow outline now and smirked.

My practice armor was now in tatters as I stood on one knee.

"Blurgh," I went coughing up blood.

*btoom*

"That's a Level 4 skill," said danbert

I flew rag dolling on the ground from the impact of the kick. He was just so fast!!! As I tried to get up there was a pressure on my back. I saw Tanzen lean down slightly...

"Your no Prodigy, I barely tapped you," he said smirking. I wanted so badly to unleash my skill Loved by mana but it would put the country in danger if I appeared out of the ordinary because the Demon King would target them directly out of the other countries, so I held my tongue and just looked at the ground.

"First release," I thought and a rainbow outline appeared around me faintly. Instantly I felt myself get 5x stronger and faster.

"Take this!," I said Releasing my condensed element towards him in a wave of blue fire that was roaring like an inferno.

"Haaagh!," Tanzen roared as he blocked it with a wave of his ice and water coated sword.

"Yes, that's it! Can you go farther?," said Tanzen curiously.

We were exchanging sword play clashes equally now but he still had the edge in speed thanks to his skill

I flew into the back of the castle and cracked the brick as he sent a full speed strike that broke my guard.

"This was supposed to just be practice Tanzen, that's detention," said Exalia. He took his foot off my back and let up.

"You good," said danbert offering his hand.

"I'm fine," I said as I got up.
