Chapter 17 I Can Save!

Ding Qiang slowly regained his composure, summoned a waiter, and looked towards Ye Tian with a grave expression, "His bill is on the house today, and in the future, all meals for this gentleman will be free."

Fang Dongshan and the others were even more shocked upon hearing this.

Especially Fang Dongshan, who knew very well that in Yunhai City, the number of people who ate for free could be counted on one hand - now Ye Tian was receiving such high treatment!

"Mr. Ding, I..." Fang Dongshan hastily looked at Ding Qiang with an anxious expression. But before he could finish his sentence, Ding Qiang coldly said, "Show them out!"

Then, turning to Ye Tian, Ding Qiang respectfully said, "Sir, may I know your phone number? If you ever need my assistance in the future, I will spare no effort."

Yet Ye Tian was quite calm, chuckling lightly, "I only give my number to beautiful women. If you have a stunning beauty, perhaps I'll consider it."

Ding Qiang gave an awkward smile, clearly catching Ye Tian's refusal, "Well then, sir, please do come more often to this humble place, and we will provide the highest level of service. I'll take my leave now."

After finishing, Ding Qiang tactfully left, but not before giving Fang Dongshan a cold glance that made the hefty man tremble.

The departing Ding Qiang reached the reception, telling a woman there, "If that gentleman comes to eat again, make sure to notify me immediately. No delays."

The receptionist nodded, and after seeing Ding Qiang leave, looked towards the distant Ye Tian near the window with a shocked expression.

Next to Ye Tian, Fang Dongshan wanted to speak and plead, but Ye Tian ignored him, laughing as he spoke to Liu Fei'er, "Silly girl, what are you looking at."

Liu Fei'er snapped back to reality, her eyes filled with admiration and a bit of a surprise, "I didn't know you were so wealthy."

"I'm just used to keeping a low profile," Ye Tian replied ambiguously, with a knowing smile.

Seeing this, Fang Dongshan had no choice but to turn and leave, while Wang Hong hurriedly said, "Wait for me."

"Wait for what, damn it!" Fang Dongshan angrily turned towards Wang Hong, glanced around to see if anyone was watching, and snorted coldly at Wang Hong before leaving.

If it weren't for the crowd, he would have slapped her hard. Damn it, why talk nonsense for no reason and offend such an important person? Now that he had angered Ding Qiang, Fang Dongshan could already see countless people staying away from him, his face filled with dejection.

Wang Hong, on the other hand, had a look of grievance, with tears in her eyes. She took a glance at Liu Fei'er and Ye Tian, covered her mouth, and left.

Watching Wang Hong leave, Liu Fei'er couldn't help feeling happy, and she admired Ye Tian even more, "You really are amazing!"

"Pervert!" Liu Fei'er huffed, giving Ye Tian a disdainful look. The fleeting coquettishness left Ye Tian momentarily stunned, his heart tickling like a cat's scratch, inwardly baffled at Liu Fei'er's seductive charm.

Soon, the waiter brought over a table full of dishes, many of which they hadn't ordered but were clearly very expensive. Ye Tian silently commended Ding Qiang's character, recognizing the man's cleverness.

Liu Fei'er was astonished, then complimented Ye Tian and happily began eating. Ye Tian, flattered by the praise, let himself float through the meal. The time passed quickly as they ate joyfully, with light-hearted banter filling the air.

Just then, Liu Fei'er's phone rang. She quickly answered it, and after a moment, her expression changed drastically. She hung up and apologized to Ye Tian before starting to leave.

Ye Tian frowned slightly, grabbed her arm, "Is there a problem? Wait, I'll come with you."

Without inquiring further, he led Liu Fei'er outside. Though he hadn't intended to take advantage of Ding Qiang's offer, seeing Liu Fei'er's urgency, he couldn't care less now.

Looking at Ye Tian, emotions of gratitude mingled with urgency filled Liu Fei'er's eyes, which brimmed with tears.

They stepped outside, hailed a taxi, and as they sat in the car, Ye Tian asked Liu Fei'er what had happened.

Liu Yun, Liu Fei'er's father, had accidentally driven into a BMW. The other driver did not take Liu Yun to the hospital to check his injuries. Instead, he beat Liu Yun so brutally that he ended up in the hospital with severe injuries.

"This guy truly deserves to die!" Ye Tian frowned slightly, a trace of icy cold flickering in his calm eyes, making Liu Fei'er next to him feel a strange sense of fear.

Then, turning to look at Liu Fei'er, Ye Tian raised his hand to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes and gently said, "Don't be sad, as long as I'm here, nothing will happen."

Liu Fei'er nodded, deeply moved. She was the only child of her parents, and now that her father had been in an accident, she had to shoulder everything. The pressure was immense, but Ye Tian's words undoubtedly strengthened Liu Fei'er's heart, because she still had Ye Tian.

They soon arrived at the hospital; following the directions given over the phone earlier, Liu Fei'er and Ye Tian quickly reached the emergency room. Yet they had barely arrived when they heard the sound of crying.

Liu Fei'er's delicate body shook violently, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face, as she cried out softly, 'Mom!' and hurriedly walked forward.

At the door of the emergency room, a middle-aged woman lay sobbing in agony on a bed covered in a white sheet, beneath which a human silhouette could be vaguely seen.

Standing before the middle-aged woman was a middle-aged man in a white coat with glasses on his nose, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, "It's not that I won't save him, but he's critically injured, and I'm powerless."

"What?!"

Having just arrived, Liu Fei'er heard this devastating news and almost collapsed, tears flowing incessantly as her delicate body trembled. She turned to the middle-aged man with tearful eyes, "You, you, you said what? Critically injured, powerless?"

The middle-aged man saw a flash of astonishment in Liu Fei'er's eyes, and then quickly put it away, nodding solemnly, "I'm sorry, I have done my best."

Liu Fei'er's legs gave way, and she kneeled on the ground, sobbing loudly.

Just as he was about to embrace Liu Fei'er, a hand appeared out of nowhere, grabbed the doctor's hand, causing him to wince in pain and turn his head to look at Ye Tian, "What are you doing? Attacking a doctor? Causing trouble in the hospital?"

"Do me a favor, open those lust-filled eyes and see clearly." Ye Tian sneered at him, raising his hand and pointing to the bed under the white sheet where Liu Yun lay, "The man is clearly still alive, why declare him dead?"

"What?!" Liu Fei'er and her mother gasped in shock as they looked up at Ye Tian.

Ye Tian looked down at Liu Fei'er, who was crying her eyes out, and gently smiled, "Don't be sad, I've told you, don't be afraid with me here. I can save Uncle Liu."

"Just you?" Young Doctor Miao Dong broke free from Ye Tian's grasp, stepped back, and looked down at him with disdain, "With that look, you can practice medicine? Even old sows climb trees!"

"Ye, Brother Ye, you, you can really save him?" Liu Fei'er looked at Ye Tian with a mixture of hope and doubt. She knew Ye Tian practiced medicine, but could he really bring back the dead? Liu Fei'er was skeptical, but she chose to believe because of her father!

Because this was her father!

Even if there was the slightest chance, she couldn't give up!

"When have I ever lied to you?" Ye Tian gently helped Liu Fei'er up, wiped her tears, and said.

"My master Professor Sun has already personally stated that the patient cannot be treated, and you think you can revive him?" Miao Dong, seeing Ye Tian picking up Liu Fei'er, flashed a displeased look, upset that such a beautiful girl was with such a poor loser!

"What did you say!" Liu Fei'er and her mother looked angrily at Miao Dong, meaning to say they didn't wish for Liu Yun to live?

He has been a top medical professor at the hospital for over thirty years. How could he deceive you? It must be said that Miao Dong was clever, not only covering up his slip, but also praising his master sky-high while simultaneously insulting Ye Tian.

And his words were undoubtedly effective because he was indeed telling the truth.

Liu Fei'er and her mother understood that Professor Sun had been practicing medicine for thirty years, and compared to him, Ye Tian was, to put it bluntly, just an immature kid. Who to believe was evident.

However, this did not include Liu Fei'er.

Looking at Ye Tian, Liu Fei'er assertively said, "I believe in Brother Ye!"
