The morning after the failed wedding, the friends were sitting in a little dinner, trying to figure out how to console Scarlett. After telling the wedding guest of the news and then her father, Scarlett was on the edge of a nervous breakdown. It broke her heart telling her father she wouldn't be getting married, and he wouldn't be able to see it. But Mason reassured her that as long as she was okay, that's all that mattered.
"How can they have done this to me? He said he loved me. What am I going to do now?"
Rubbing her back, Ace seemed to be the only one able to calm her. "Oh, sweetheart, don't you give him a second thought. He's someone else's problem now. Noah has always just been looking for a handout. I always knew he was trouble and I regret not warring you a long time ago."
