Her way back

"Lien get rid of that stupid snake," Jen said as she was about to grab the snake and Wang grabbed onto her hand then looked at her sternly and Lien swallowed deeply.

"Uh... Leader Wang it's fine just let it go" Lien said nervously as the snake stared at her.

"Jen I told you before to cut the crap out, now you are really starting to get on my bloody nerves," he said as his eyes glowed red and the girl saw but ignored it again.

"She is the reason for all of this, I do not like her, maybe that thing should have killed her that day," she said and Wang slapped her to the ground in front of everyone.

The people were really afraid of Wang so they trembled upon seeing that.

"You look at how you speak to her she is a decent lady and you are not" he said and Jen gasped,

Jen then stood up.

"You are saying all of this to me because of her" she shouted as she grabbed onto Lien's hand and pressed her nails into the girl's hand.

"You are hurting me let go," Lien said.

"Maybe I should kill you," Jen said and Wang grabbed onto her neck from behind and started to choke her, as she was choking she released Lien and Wang lifted her up in the air then threw her into a stall.

"Are you okay lady Lien?" he asked as the snaked wrapped itself around Lien's arm and started hissing at the girl but then Lien rubbed its head and it lay down.

"Let it be leader Wang, please," Lien said and he sighed,

"Get back to doing your work Jen before I lose my temper completely and Lady Lien won't be able to save you," he said and in fear of him, Jen did as told.

"Sorry about that," he said and she placed her hand on his shoulder but he did not look at her.

"Leader Wang I have to get going if I want to arrive home early," she said and he smiled slightly.

"It's okay come on let's go back," he said as they walked back to the palace.

As they arrived she saw the carriage was already ready for her, Yu then came out and hugged her tightly then saw the snake on her and jumped.

"There is a snake," he said as she grabbed his hand and the snake raised up the rubbed its head against Yu's palm then Yu smiled.

'It's not that bad" Yu said,

"Exactly" she replied then he moved his hand,

"It's beautiful and a rare color" Yu said,

"Yeah, it is" she replied then Yu frowned.

"I wish you could stay," Yu said and she frowned,

"Things are changing nothing is like it was before, Yu you will be fine" she replied,

"I know but without you, a lot of things just turn dark," he said and she gasped,

"Do not say that, find a new light" she replied,

"I will try, can you be careful and make sure no one takes advantage of you there will you?" he asked,

'Yes I will do not worry" she responded then patted him on the shoulder.

"Well it is time for me to go now," she said and Yu kissed her on the forehead and she gasped then kissed him on the cheek and got into the carriage.

She looked at Wang and smiled.

"Take care lady Lien," he said as she left.

"Well it's just us now, I better get to work and you have training later Yu, so get practicing," Wang said,

"Yeah I know, I just hope she gets back fine" Yu replied,

"I am sure she will see ya," Wang said then left,

"I hope you are right Leader Wang, ever since she met you, things have gotten worse for her," Yu said to himself as he walked into the training ground where Wang's soldiers were training.

A few hours after Lien was nearing home but just then she noticed the snake started to behave strangely so she fed him a piece of the cake that she was eating and the girl was surprised that the snake ate it for the snake normally eats egg, it was indeed strange.

"You are one weird snake, I think I will call you Goldie," she said as she rubbed the snakehead.

The girl then saw some dark smoke in the tree and suddenly her carriage started to lose control and as she tried to get out, the carriage flipped over trapping her inside.

"Ouch," she said as she tried to pull her feet out of the window that it got stuck in.

As she tried to pull it out she saw someone dressed in black walking towards the carriage as it was about to fall off the hill, the girl swallowed deeply in fear as the snake came out of the cage and wrapped itself around her hand.

She then heard the person passing their hand on the carriage causing it to keep a screeching sound.

She got scared and blood was running down her face for she had hit her head on the side of the carriage when it flipped and now her feet were injured too and after she pulled it from the window it cut her feet.

The girl was bleeding and she had no way of defending herself but she was not planning on falling off that cliff so she crawled out of the carriage with the snake but then someone grabbed her from behind and threw her into a tree.

She coughed up blood as she sat up holding on to her feet and the person walked towards her, it was a guy but she could not see his face because he was wearing a mask.

"Who are you?" she asked the guy,

"The last person you will see before you descend from this world" he responded as she grabbed her sword and struck him on his hand causing him to bleed but that also pissed him off even more.

He grabbed her by her hair and dragged her on the ground and she screamed.
