What caught my attention beyond the waterfall was what seems to be a cave, with the waterfall acting as a thick veil covering it from view.
Only a careful glance could reveal it to the eyes...
I looked at it and suddenly felt a bit hopeful that I would find something good inside of it. so I tried to find ways to get into the cave, without getting completely drenched by the waterfall...
As per survival instincts, I have to look for shelter first, other things could follow, I thought as I looked from side to side to see if I could find a way around the falls. I kept looking around until my mind took note of what seems like a footpath in between the field of lilies.
How I never took note of that is a question left for another day, I thought to myself before deciding to walk towards the footpath...
"Well, it's not my fault though, I mean not everyone notices something at first Glance, plus considering the situation am currently in..." I interjected loudly as I tried trailing the footpath hoping it leads me to the cave.
I walked for a while in between the field of lilies before, I caught a glimpse of the cave's entrance.
I then halted, debating on whether or not to go in.
"I mean it's a fucking cave in the middle of fucking nowhere," I whisper shout at my self scared that whatever was in there would hear me... as I thought that it could literally be a lion's den.
Even though I knew what I was thinking could be true, I forcefully pushed aside the thought, and went in after saying a little prayer, completely unprepared for what I was going to meet.
I walked in slowly, taking cautious steps into the cave, and when I got inside I noticed that the cave was huge, bigger than how it had appeared to be from the outside.
Aside from that though something else caught my attention...
The cave looks lived in..." or was I only imagining things" I said to myself before looking around again just to be sure if what I'm seeing was real or not...
A few empty tins lay discarded on the floor of the cave, and a few blocks of wood that looked to have been burned halfway, also laid in a pile by a place that looked as though a fire had been set there not quite long ago, there was also a makeshift bed with a neatly folded blanket on it by the wall...
A hooded sweater also hung above the makeshift bed on the wall...
After seeing all these, my head became packed with lots of emotions, that I was so confused about what I'm actually feeling right now, or what I should really feel at this exact moment...
Because, I'm happy that at least, these items indicates that I'm not going to be alone here, but I'm also scared at the same time... I'm scared that the person that might have been living here could be a creep, terrorist, or even worst a murderer...
But the fact that I know I'm not alone in this strange beautiful place sent a certain wave of relief over me...
Although my mind kept telling me to leave this place, I couldn't listen to it because where else would I go if I leave here...
I'm stranded and this seems like my only chance at a shelter, so before I figure out how to get out of here or at least what to do next I think I'd stay here until that happens.
Walking further into the cave, some opening at the end of the cave caught my eye, which appears to be leading somewhere, so I walked towards the opening and shouted...
"Hello?!" I shouted a little bit reluctant and then paused for a while before shouting again...
"Hello... Anybody here?!" I waited for an answer, but nothing came back except for the echo of my own voice.
As I approached the opening, I peeked in, to see what was in there...
Wow! I exclaimed out of pure ecstasy, what I saw was breathe taking it was absolutely an amazing creation of God...
In front of me was a big puddle of water that was so blue, that one would think a few buckets of paint had been added to it, and it even looked as though steam was coming off from it...just like a hot spring.
"This is incredible..." I exclaimed with a broad smile spreading across my face making me instantly forget all about my predicament...
I approached the water and then reached out to dip my foot in it to see if it was really hot and not just my imagination and surprisingly, it was hot just like I had expected. but it wasn't too hot though it was at a perfect temperature...
feeling the temperature of the water, all I wanted to do at that moment was to take a bath, so I quickly took off my clothes and went inside the water... not minding the nag from my subconscious self...
"What are you doing keera you could get caught." my subconscious warned but I only ignored it and went on inside the water, I walked inside to the middle, the water reaching just a little below my breasts.
I then bent a little bit so I could have my head inside the water as well.
While my head was inside I tried to calm my nerves letting the water suit them...
I stayed in for a while before coming up for air taking a full sharp intake as if my life depends on it...
Well, it literally does.
I tried lying on my back, using my hands and feet to keep floating on my back, with my eyes closed, I tried to get a hold of the situation...
I have so many questions.
I let my mind wandered about what was going on, how I got into this world, and how I was probably going to get out.
I tried remembering anything at all about myself, but after hard and long thinking, I could only grab pieces of memories, scraps actually.
I can't connect any of them...I then felt like someone was watching me...
How is that possible Keera stop imagining crazy things... I chastised my subconscious
No one is here in this cave... I reassured myself again, but just to be on a safer side, and also because of my curiosity, I wanted to be sure of things, I couldn't take chances. So I open my eyes slowly and...
Arrggghhhh....?!!!
