First, I don't have a formal background in terms of writing a book or novel (so constructive criticisms are highly encouraged). I did write some short stories, poems, and one shots but that's it. And second, English is not my primary language. So you might find some incorrect use of words and incorrect grammar (again constructive criticism are highly encouraged).

Pandora ran as fast as she can with the little energy left she can muster and grabbed the stone tablet. 'Please. Please. Please work.' She chanted inside her head as she clasps the small rough piece of the stone tablet. She then put the two pieces together and shouted.

"EX MORTE VITA!"

Just then the cracks from the separated pieces of the tablet shone brightly blinding everyone inside the room. Everyone closed their eyes to shield themselves, except for Pandora. She just blinks the light away as her eyes refocuses on the shining tablet.

'Welcome to the World Reincarnation System!' She heard the familiar automated and robotic voice. 'Please state your identification.'

"Pan-..." She was about to utter her 'current' name but quickly realize that it's not the identification that the system is asking. "Eve. Eve, Chavvah!" She shouted.

'System Notification: Identification Received! Soul verification in process. Please wait a moment.'

The light from the tablet starts to subside and so Pandora eases into standing, still holding the tablet. She shifted her attention towards her surroundings. He looked over the chaos of a room where she stands in the middle. Everyone is motionless as if time have stop for them. She paid this no mind as she thought it is just the effect of the stone tablet she is holding.

Pandora then turn her attention back to the tablet. The cracks have vanished as if they were not there in the first place. The tablet itself looks renewed and not like its previous worn-out state.

'System Notification: Identification confirmed. Access denied. Please state soul identification.'

Soul identification. It is the proof of identity used to set apart one's soul among all other souls in the void.

'Soul Identification.' Pandora chanted in her mind as she recalls the information that Diwa told her. 'Remember, Soul Identification consists of the soul number...'

"Soul A20210217. "

'...the soul cycle...'

"Cycle...Second Life Cycle."

'...and the soul's cycle name which is the name you were born into in the current cycle or simply the name before you died.'

"Lyma Anesidora Dalton."

'Soul Identification accepted. 'Launching World Reincarnation System. Launch successful. Opening Menu.'

Pandora heaved a deep sigh. She was able to open the start up Menu. Now, she only needs to access the Soul Life Cycle Generator Settings as what Diwa have asked her. But before she can reply to the system, a deep and loud voice echoed inside the room. "Eve!"

Pandora snapped her head towards the entrance. And there stood the last being she wished to see. Though the appearance is familiar to her since he has been with her from the beginning. There was no longer a trace of 'him' in the eyes that's looking straight at her.

Her chest throb as she fight her tears forming.  She gasps for air, remembering her companions. "No." She uttered embracing the tablet. "No."

But Pandora know better, they failed.

They failed to stop the being that wants to consume her very essence. The being who wants to plunder the world.

"Lucifer." She whispered.
