Chapter 4

" So it is almost like an exact replica of Earth but 10 times bigger. "

In Azeroth, I had the power to instantly teleport to any location on this planet. Thanks to this, I was able to see different habitats. There were jungles, forests, plains, volcanic wastelands, frozen plains and even deserts and oceans.

Although the planet was not lacking in any of the mundane plants and animals from my old world. It was missing two key things that distinguished itself from my earth.

 Humans and civilizations.

There were no pyramids , no Aztec temples or any other noticeable human structure.

It was essentially a world devoid of any pollution. A pure world that was untainted and untouched.

It was a perfect replica of what earth could have been like if there were no humans living on it, and by God, it was beautiful.

The air was pristine, and the nature and fauna were breathtaking to look at.

' I guess I better get some creatures like dragons and direwolves and introduce them to this world. Hehehehehe breeding dragons. '

I couldn't help but giggle at the thought of that.

While Newt Scammender might have had a suitcase filled with fantastic beasts, I'm going to have an entire world filled with them.

' Still, it seems I really lucked out this time. After all, there was a huge possibility that I might have died without ever unlocking my memories,' I thought to myself as I recalled my time in the limbo.

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Flash back

"Welcome to my domain."

A booming voice thundered across the space.

As soon as I heard that, I scrambled to my feet. It was as if I had woken up from a deep deep sleep.

" AAAAH "

' How am I still alive ? That bastard shot me so many times and Where the the fuck is this place? ' I wondered as I touched myself. Looking and feeling around to find a bullet hole.

" You won't find any and before you say anything."

 " Yes! ".

" You are actually one hundred percent dead. "

" No. There is nothing special about you. This is completely random. "

" And yes! I'm going to grant you some wishes and reincarnate you.! But it's not going to be like all the stories you read in your past life. The time, place and world in which you are going to be reincarnated will be completely random."

" Now let's talk about wishes" The voice boomed again without even giving me a chance to speak.

" You can ask for wishes, but they cannot be overpowered or grant you a significant head start. You cannot get instant mastery over your powers. You would have to work for it. Whether you are talented or not is completely random, and the maximum number of wishes you can ask for is two."

" Now be careful, each wish you ask for will be paired up with a random restriction or requirement. The more powerful the power. The bigger the restriction. "

" Speak Human. What is it that you truly desire? "

The moment the voice said that I got shivers down my spine.

Who wouldn't? After all, I just got hit with the most famous line of Lucifer morningstar aka the King of hell.

' I need to be very careful with what I choose. I can't choose anything too out of line or something too weak. '

' Dammit!! If only I could choose where I would get reborn at. '

After thinking about it and going through all the potential abilities that I could ask for, I finally settled on something that I thought was very versatile.

" I would like to be a devil like the ones in highschool DxD " I asked politely as I thought about the pros of picking this.

Imagination based magical power and longevity, not to mention superior physical abilities.

Hopefully, this would allow me to at least survive in any kind of universe.

" Rejected. But if you want magical powers, the best I can grant you is to give you a body like wizards from Harry potter. " The voice boomed.

' Damm it. '

' I should have known it wouldn't be that easy. If that was the best he could do then there was no way in hell that any of my other options would get even considered much less accepted. '

" I accept. " I replied with a bitter smile on my face.

What else was I supposed to say?

' No? When he literally said that was the best he could do? '

" very well. What is your second wish? "

Well, I already have a pretty versatile power. Now I need something that can help me escape to a safe place if necessary.

Since I will most likely get rejected if I ask for a decent defensive power, why Not ask for something else? Something that can potentially help me get more powers in the future.

' If I put enough restrictions on myself then I might just be able to get this power. ' I thought to myself.

" I would like to have a dimension where there is a replica of Earth that I can go to anytime I want. Along with this I would like the ability to travel to different universes. Except I can't choose where I want to go to or which time period that I want to go to . All that will be completely random. I would also like to impose a cooldown time of one year before I am able to travel to another universe again. Is this acceptable? " I asked the being with my fingers crossed.

" AHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHAHHA "

" A human that wants to bargain? EHHEHEHEHEH "

" Very well.I shall grant you your wish if you agree to my terms young mortal."

" First, you shall forget everything about our encounter and the conversation we are having right now until you use your ability to travel to another universe and get yourself some land in your name."

" Second, You may only be able to return back to a world if you placed an anchor on a piece of land in that world. This anchor will connect you to that universe and allow you to travel there in the future. You must stay in that location for at least 30 minutes to set up an anchor "

" Third, Your world will hold no magical creatures unless you introduce them to it. It will only be filled with animals that were present at that time that you were alive. Once you leave your dimension you will be returned to the place you were before you entered your dimension."

" Fourth, you will use your own life force to travel to other worlds. Every Time you hop dimension, five years will be shaved off from your life span.

" Do you find these terms acceptable? Young mortal " The beings voice boomed out.

" can I find a way to regain those years or if I somehow become immortal what would happen?" I asked the being.

There was no way that I could accept a deal without knowing such an important detail like this.

" You can regain the years you lost using potions and rituals or other artifacts and abilities that are scattered throughout the multiverse. However, If you do become immortal then you can infinitely hop to a different universe every year without the fear of dying. " The voice boomed.

" I accept the offer. "

 Flash back end

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I couldn't help but let out a sigh.

The memories about my time in limbo were not the only things that I unlocked.

I also had learnt exactly how Azeroth and my dimensional traveling powers worked.

The best way to describe how I knew how to use my powers was to call it instinctive. Just like how animals know how to do certain things on their own without anyone telling them to or teaching them to, I knew everything related to my second wish.

Oh, how I wish it was the same for my magical powers as well. But as the saying goes you can't have everything in life.

There were many rules and restrictions around Azoreth itself.

Teleporting to and from Azeroth cost me magical power. The same goes for when I teleport to places around Azeroth. However, this cost is miniscule when compared to the cost it takes to teleport something to Azeroth. The bigger the object the greater the cost.

On top of that when teleporting living things such as animals or humans to Azeroth there are additional restrictions in place.

I learnt that I could only forcefully teleport animals and humans that were weaker than myself. Otherwise, they had to willingly allow themselves to be teleported or simply be unconscious when I teleport them.

The disappointment I felt when I learnt of this was immeasurable.

My dreams of simply chucking enemies stronger than myself inside a volcano or into the depths of the ocean were shattered and my day was ruined.

" fucking stupid rules " I couldn't help but curse under my breath.

How was it that dimensional travel had less rules when compared to fucking teleporting to Azeroth?

It simply didn't make sense.

There were only three main rules behind the dimensional aspect of my power.

One I had to wait a year before I could hop dimensions again.

Two Everytime I hopped to a new dimension, five years would be reduced from my life span.

Well, what can I say? Some people burn money. I just happen to burn life.

Three I had to place an anchor somewhere in that world preferably on a plot of land that I own. There was one silver lining to this entire thing. I could freely travel between the anchored worlds without there being a time limit or wasting my precious life span. However, if there wasn't an anchor point set before I hopped to another universe then I wouldn't be able to travel there again unless I got lucky.

By lucky I mean extremely extremely extremely fucking lucky.

This is especially true when you consider that there are an infinite number of worlds and timelines.

In a case like that, trying to get back to a particular world was akin to finding a particular grain of sand on a beach that stretched out infinitely.

' I'm sorry, mother. It looks like I'll never be able to find who you were. ' I thought to myself, as I felt no other anchor than the one in this universe.

It seems like my mother's world was now lost to me along with five years of my life.
