We walked through the rumble scattered on the ground among pitifully looking withered tufts of grass toward the nearest entrance to the building, that is one of the large side windows. There were less than three hours till sunset, so we had four hours max before it would get too dark to train. Perhaps even less, since we would be inside a building.
I went over to the broken window and looked around before turning back to the boy. "Alright, jump in. We need to scout the building to check if there's anyone around first. We don't have much time, so we're gonna split. And let's make it quick."
The boy climbed inside, trying not to get hurt by the sharp edges of the still remaining glass. "What do I do when I find someone?"
"Just let me know." I threw the cigarette I'd been smoking on the way on the ground and put it out by stepping on it. "I'll knock them out and toss them outside, so they won't get it our way."
