Chapter 46: Endless Search
At the bottom of these stairs, they walked into a hall with red walls. These had graffiti painted all over them portraying dragons, witches and snakes wrapped around trees. Melinda had an immediate aversion to the place. A few people were dancing to the same kind of disharmonious music which she had heard in her dream that afternoon. She wished that she could find a clue to the treasure and leave as soon as possible.
They walked amongst the dancers and Melinda noticed with concern that some of them were dancing with snakes draped around them. In the dream Raul and Lexi were with her, but where were they now?
They passed a group of young people who were arguing furiously. It reminded Melinda about the fights which she had witnessed in the dream.
“Okay, Gemima, I think I’ve seen enough around here now!” she shouted above the music.
“No, wait. There’s something interesting about this floor,” Gemima said right into Melinda’s ear.
