Wolf's Zone

A young girl, Letty Black, understands that the last thing she remembers is her father's death. Her childhood, teen years, first kiss, and first love are a tabula rasa. Her memories are gone, and no matter what she did and how many qualified doctors she had seen, there's no progress in getting her memories back except for strange dreams: an unknown city, a handsome blond man with magnificent blue-brown eyes, and... wolves...? What do all those dreams mean? Is she mad, or that's a hidden world under her nose?

The camp

I put the car engine off and looked at her. She was looking at me like a scared cat that was caught doing a mess. I couldn't resist a laugh. She was scared to go there, as it will be our first time together in such a big group of werewolves, not regarding the funerals we visited as a couple. At the funerals, we weren't the center of the meeting like we are here.

"Don't laugh at me!" She complained and crossed her hands over her chest, turning her head away from me. I smirked, took her chin, and put her closer to me. She felt my breath on her lips and blushed. "Aiden"!

"The Wolf Princes, remember?" I whispered to her lips, almost touching them, then let go of her chin and went out of the car. The thought of the werewolves in the camp started bombing my head, but I still went straight to her door, trying to stay away from their thoughts.

{Isn't he alone?}

{Are they mates?}

{Are they together?}

{Her memory is finally back?}

{They are looking good together}

I smiled, then opened a car door and gave her my hand.

"Welcome, my queen".

She blushed from my words, took my hand, and stepped out of the car. Letty straightened up her nude V-neck T-shirt and looked over herself if she looks fine. I smiled, trying to control myself and not to laugh at her anymore. She was looking like she was going to meet my parents, and it was one of the most important meetings in her life, but actually, it was. They are my friends, my Pack, and the first impression is very significant because as Cynthia Ozick said, two things remain irretrievable: time and a first impression.

The first impression of us as a couple means a lot, not only to them, but to us as well.

"Am I looking good?" I looked at Aiden and found out he was looking at me all the time I was preparing, without taking his eyes off, and smiling. Suddenly, he squeezed my hand and pressed his lips to my ear.

"You're looking gorgeous," I felt him smile, then straightened up and our eyes met. I drowned in his magnetic blue-brown eyes, and he knew it. The world stopped existing around us, the only things that existed were his eyes and his smile. "We shall go"

He broke the magnetism between us with a few words, but his eyes and his smile were still making me feel like I'm drowning. He stepped away after reading my thoughts about how I reacted to him, and how it affects me and him at the same time. We can't allow each other to lose our heads here and now.

"You smell me. That's good" he chuckled, kissed my cheek, then squeezed my hand and guided me to the clearing in the woods, where he and his werewolves settled up a camp. I managed to recognize a few people I have already seen, and the first one whom I saw, was William, Aiden's Beta, the enemy who quickly turned into a brother to me. Then, I acknowledged Catherine, Bella, Chris, Mark, and Victor, the Alphas from the two nearest Packs and Aiden's closest friends. I also noticed Valentine, Victor's Beta, and Frederic, his Gamma. So, Omegas were left in the Packs to look after while the rest are missing.

The rest of the people were unknown to me, so I looked back at Aiden. He was going straight to them, his face was calm and relaxed, and he wasn't smiling as well as frowning. He was showing his perfect self-control to them. I like it, and I like how he loses it when he's looking at me.

"Welcome to the camp," he finally said when we arrived and stepped a few meters away from the other werewolves. Aiden squeezed my hand and straightened up. He took a protective posture and stepped a bit in front of me, so I could hide behind him if needed. I like it, though I can protect myself on my own now, so I stood near him, shoulder-to-shoulder.

"At first," Aiden started, squeezing my hand, "I'd like to introduce you to those who don't know you as the most important girl in my life."

When he turned his head to me, and all the surrounding werewolves looked at me as well, I thought I'd die from embarrassment.

"It's Letty Black, the daughter of the Alpha of the Black Forest Pack, and my mate."

I felt inner excitement from those words, and tension in my pants. I felt the warmth of her hand in mine, and slight electricity coming from my hand to hers and vice versa. When I turned my face to her, she was blushing, but I feel she had the same excitement from those words as I had. Letty looked at me, and then turned the gaze of her stunning blue eyes at them.

"Nice to meet you all," she smiled, and the look in her eyes turned to me.

{It's a real pleasure to see them together…}

Mark thought, looking at Letty and me, imagining some pictures in his head, from which I tried to stay away, to not make things worse. It made me chuckle, and Letty looked at me with an arched eyebrow, asking to explain.

"Their thoughts are funny," I whispered with my only lips, then stepped closer to her, hugged her waist, then took her in a protective cocoon of my hands. I pressed my lips to her ear and whispered, "Mark said we are looking good together, and imagine such things about us, that it made me chuckle. Probably, from nervousness."

"Did he imagine us having sex?" Letty looked at me with her big blue eyes, being as round as a tennis ball.

"Almost" I laughed, and looked at all of them, then straightened up. A moment when they realized who she is, they all kneeled down and bowed their heads in respect. I felt Letty's body trembling and immediately whispered, "They're showing respect to the Luna, Alpha's mate".

She just nodded her head, and then looked like all of them straightened up, and cleared their throat.

"I'm glad to meet you all, finally."

Her face turned red from head to toes, but only for a half of a second. Then, she raised her eyes up, and looked at all the present werewolves, counted them, then looked at me.

"What about the rest of the tents? Whose are they?" I asked Aiden.

"We expect more guests to come a bit later…" Aiden kissed my cheek, then stood near me and took my hand, "Now, we can start our camp. I have an idea for boys to start a fire, and for girls to look for food and drinks."

"Boys can't look for drinks?" I snored and Aiden chuckled, hugging me.

"Fine."

I kissed his cheeks and guided myself to the table with food, when male hands hugged my waist and I turned my head to see Aiden. He smiled at me and kissed my nose.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Looking for food, as you said."

"You should be with me," he whispered with his only lips, "No matter what I said."

I kissed his cheek and turned with my whole body to him. He took my hand, and we went to the central area of the camp, where boys already started a fire. At the same time, we appeared, Chris brought a box full of dark beer and put it in right in front of Aiden.

"You take first." Chris said and Aiden bowed his head, then took two bottles from the box, opened them with the button on his jeans and gave one of the bottles to me, the second took for himself and hugged me back.

"For Letty! Aiden's mate! For Luna!" I heard voices around the fire and blushed. Aiden chuckled and put his bottle up. I joined with a blush, smiled, and took a sip. The beer was tasty, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

I looked around all the present werewolves, admitting mostly they are males, and that's not because men were all gathering near the fire and drinking beer, while females were working with food. Mostly, all the Betas, Gammas, and even Omegas were males. Do I think that's because all the werewolves think that males are better than females and are more suitable on those positions? No, I definitely don't think so.

The answer is lying in the same fact, where the role of the Luna of the Pack is lying. Females are supposed to be inside the Pack, working for the Pack's good, especially for its future – children, as the continuation of the Packs. The females from the Pack, no matter their ranks, supposed to help Luna and the rest of the women with raising children. That is the main function of females in wolf's packs, and the same remained in werewolves' packs.

"Do you really think that the main function of females on raising children has remained in the werewolves packs?"

I looked at Aiden, realizing that he heard everything I've thought inside my head.

{Well, there are a lot of pros and cons to being able to read thoughts…}
