New friendships

Jacob's side:

My dad payed a lot of money for me to go to Columbia University in new york because that's the University he went to when he was my age,my first day was pretty good and i became popular pretty quickly but that's probably because people around here know that i'm rich. You may think that being rich is great and yeah it kind of is,but my family has always been distant and dysfunctionnal.I've never had many real friends even though i was really popular most of my life, that's the bad part about being rich, people think your rude, greedy and their only friends with because of the soul purpose that you have a lot of money.

I met a guy named Dustin and i don't think he knows who i am which is a good thing,he's the type of guy that always sits alone and doesn't have any friends,he gets bullied a lot but i don't know why.Once you get to know him you would know that he's actually really funny, nice and he's very open minded and creative. He says that he used to be popular but all of that changed in 11th grade,i wonder why...

Layla's side:

The next day i met up with Sam again and we had a pretty long conversation, she told me about how it was her dream to come to New York city and that her parents were very supportive of her decision and gave her a bit of money to help, turns out that she got a scolarship too but she didnt have enough money for the plane ticket so her parents bought it for her.She had a little sister but she's only in 9th grade,Sam seemed to have a great life, perfect family, great friends.I appreciated Sam's company a lot,we soon became really good friends and hung out often at each others dorms and talked,it was really fun while hanging out with her, sometimes we would go through drive throughs and pretend we had british accents and messed with the workers.Me and Sam even got drunk one time and rode a shopping cart down a hill and crashed into a bush,it hurt a lot but it was definetly a night i'll remember.
