"Don't let me down," Azrael breathed, his plea barely audible as he pulled himself onto the throne.
Creeping forward, he clung to the Goblin Chief's colossal frame, the sheer magnitude of the creature making him feel like a mere speck in the grand scheme of things.
Utilizing the folds of skin for support, Azrael climbed with cautious precision. His singular objective: to sever the Goblin Chief's jugular, or at least that's what he hoped it was. The challenge lay in not knowing the location of this monstrosity's vital organs.
Continuing to scale the Goblin Chief's immense body demanded Azrael's unwavering attention. Occasionally, he stole glances at the slumbering beast, his anxiety growing with every movement.
'Please stay asleep, you disgusting pig.' The silent plea echoed in Azrael's mind as he navigated the treacherous ascent.
The Goblin Chief's body was slick and slimy, coated in a thick layer of mucus that seeped into Azrael's clothes.
'Gross.'
Despite the unpleasant sensation, Azrael persisted. Every second brought him closer to the Goblin Chief's neck, but the looming confrontation heightened his anxiety.
'Stay calm. You got this.' His internal pep talk served as a source of motivation.
Azrael pressed on, navigating the slippery expanse of the Goblin Chief's body until he reached its shoulder. The journey proved challenging, hindered by the excessive layers of fat.
'Shit. I can barely see anything.'
As he advanced, the Goblin Chief's neck remained concealed beneath the myriad fatty layers, frustrating Azrael's efforts. Maneuvering through the slimy terrain, his mounting frustration led to a realization – his goal seemed increasingly unattainable.
'Damn it.'
Desperately clinging to the Goblin Chief's body, Azrael strained to get a better view of his target. He needed to find a way to expose the Goblin Chief's neck and sever the beast's jugular.
The massive jaw of the Goblin Chief loomed above its neck, leaving scant space for Azrael to maneuver. Adding to his challenge, the Goblin Chief's enormous ears obstructed his vision, further complicating his task.
'How am I supposed to cut this thing's neck if I can't even see it?'
Drawing closer, Azrael gingerly placed his hands on one of the Goblin Chief's massive ears. He moved with caution, ensuring not to disturb the beast's slumber as he shifted his body for a better position. However, the Goblin Chief responded with a low grunt, causing an involuntary shift in its body that threw Azrael off balance.
Clinging desperately, he fought to retain his grip on the Goblin Chief's colossal form.
'Fuck.'
The fear of falling and arousing the beast fueled Azrael's determination to cling to the Goblin Chief's body with all his might.
'Please don't wake up.'
Azrael held his breath, his heart racing, as he waited anxiously for any signs of movement. Fortunately, the Goblin Chief settled back into its slumber, granting him the reprieve needed to resume his delicate search for the jugular.
Azrael meticulously navigated along the Goblin Chief's lengthy ear, deftly sidestepping and reaching the other side. After a careful journey, he finally secured a clear line of sight to the creature's neck.
'There it is.'
Yet, a new obstacle presented itself—layers of obscuring fat. The neck, concealed beneath the thick layers, appeared almost unreachable, let alone susceptible to a blade. Azrael strained to discern a clearer view, but his efforts proved futile. The Goblin Chief's copious layers of fat acted as an impenetrable shield, concealing the jugular from his determined gaze.
With determination, Azrael began to hack away at the layered fat, hoping to create an opening. However, the Goblin Chief's thick layers proved resistant, rendering the sword ineffective.
'Shit.'
Frustrated, Azrael conceded, retreating back to the ear as he contemplated an alternative approach. Climbing the long, thin stretch, he perched at the entrance of the ear. The repulsive smell within fought against his composure, and Azrael battled the urge to vomit once more.
He raised his hand, pointing directly at the ear hole, and uttered, "Ignis." Instantaneously, a torrent of red-hot flames erupted from his fingers, surging into the Goblin Chief's ear canal.
The fire roared within the Goblin Chief's ear, its intensity seeming enough to scorch the insides of the beast's skull.
Or so he thought.
The Goblin Chief jolted awake, a thunderous roar escaping its lips as it hastily clutched its ear. Azrael, thrown off balance, tumbled to the floor, landing amidst a pile of bones. The Goblin Chief, now on its feet, continued to roar in agony. The pain seemed insufferable, evident in the wild flailing of the beast as it attempted to ease the burning sensation deep within its ear.
Azrael scrambled to his feet, swift in his movements as he assessed the unfolding chaos. The Goblin Chief, now enraged, thrashed about blindly. Azrael, ever nimble, dodged the wild swings of the Goblin Chief's arm, narrowly evading the risk of being crushed by the enormous appendage.
The Goblin Chief, in its fury, put a finger into its mouth. Pulling it out, an ugly digit coated in a wad of thick green mucus emerged. In a grotesque display, it stabbed the mucus-laden finger into its earhole, utilizing the repulsive substance to extinguish the raging inferno within.
'That's a smart being,' Azrael thought as he swiftly dashed towards the unsuspecting back of the Goblin Chief. With a well-aimed strike, he sliced the creature's Achilles tendon, his sword now coated with mana.
He could feel the blade cutting through something thick and meaty before a resounding thump echoed in the air. The Goblin Chief bellowed in agony, collapsing to the ground with a thunderous crash. Seizing the opportunity, Azrael dashed towards the Goblin Chief's face, determined to finish off the beast.
Yet, the Goblin Chief recovered with surprising speed, thrusting Azrael back into a precarious situation. Dodging and weaving, he narrowly evaded being crushed by the creature's massive hand amidst the chaotic swings.
Close to the beast's enormous maw, Azrael had to contend with the looming threat of being engulfed as it lunged, threatening to swallow him whole. The battle continued, each moment teetering on the edge of danger.
