Chapter 46: I love you

"Did you understand what I explained to you?" she inquired again.

"Yes, I understand; go to the living room, and I'll be there soon," he said, even though he didn't. Because he was embarrassed, he couldn't ask her to repeat the instructions. He took the mop after she left and whipped the dirt off of it before cleaning the counter.

The only thing left is that stupid dish, the machine he didn't want to mess up, but unfortunately for him, he did just that when he pressed something else and all the foam came out of the machine, causing a mess in the kitchen.

As she walked in on the mess he'd made, she laughed, realizing that his bossy coworker can do anything for his job but is terrible at chores.

"Sweetie, I'm sorry this turned out that way. I'll clean this up and we'll still have time to watch a movie before we leave," he said, not expecting his mate to throw foam at him.

"Oh, it's like that, huh? Game on, but I'll win," he said, attempting to catch her as she ran away from the kitchen.

She tried to flee as he got closer, but she didn't expect to trip and fall right on top of him, locking their lips together from her fall.

He moved her away from him when he realized her lips were on his. He didn't want to take advantage of her. Even though he desperately wants to kiss her, he decided to give her time and respect and let her decide whether or not she wants to be with him.

Sebastian rose from the floor and checked his watch.

"It appears to be your surprise; should I probably get ready now?" she said, hurrying out of the kitchen, flustered by the accident kiss that had just happened between them.

"Wait," he said, stopping her before she could go any further. "I almost forgot there is a dress for you upstairs in our room, I chose it myself, you also have heels that go with the dress, you can wait for me in the living room and I will come as soon as I get ready too," he said.

"All right," she says as she walks to their room from the kitchen.

Allan finally leaves the kitchen after finishing the cleaning. He goes to their guest room bathroom and takes a shower while Althea is getting ready for their bedroom.

He changed into comfortable clothes for the date he had planned after taking a shower. He wore a light blue denim shirt with black skinny jeans and dark grey derby shoes.

He exits the guest room and goes downstairs to the living room. When he noticed she wasn't there, he sat down on the sofa and waited for her to come down.

Althea checked herself in the mirror one last time before leaving.

He was lost in his mate's natural beauty the moment he turned around. She looked stunning in a white lace strap mini dress that reached her knees and gold ankle strap heel sandals, and her hair is styled in a low bun that complements the overall look and draws attention to her features.

"You are stunning, sweetie," he said as he drew Althea to him and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you, and she said you look good too," she said, complimenting him as well.

"Come on, let's get in the car," he said as they walked outside together. As Allan focused on the road, she looked out the window as Allan paid attention to the road since he was the one driving.

It took him thirty minutes to get where he needed to go. He turns to Althea, who is sitting beside him, and she asks him why they aren't getting out of the car.

"Is there something wrong? Will you tell me why we're still in the car?" Althea inquired.

"Nothing is wrong; it's just for this last thing you need to put on a blindfold so it doesn't ruin the surprise; I know this might make you uncomfortable, so I wanted to ask your permission," Allan explained.

"This will be the second time you need to blindfold me for the surprise, so as long as you don't intend to do anything bad to me, I guess I'm okay with it," she said.

"I promise I'm not going to do anything bad to you," he said as he put the blindfold over her eyes, assisted her in getting out of the car, and walked her to the helicopter.

"Are we flying somewhere?" she inquired after hearing a loud noise.

"Yes, we are; to get where we need to go, I had to use a helicopter," he replied to her question. "We won't be there long, but I hope you like what you see," he said.

He assisted her in boarding the helicopter. The pilot checked to see if everything was ready to go, and with his approval, he flew the helicopter high in the sky, taking them to their destination.

They don't speak for the duration of the flight until she decides to break the silence and ask him.

"Can we have some ice cream later if that's okay with you? If not, I understand. If you don't like it, "She was blabbering excessively.

"Slow down, sweetie, you're talking fast right now, it's so cute, of course, we can eat ice cream together later," he said smiling at her.

"Thank you so much," she said, her face bright.

"Sir, we have arrived at your destination," their pilot said as he touched down.

"Thank you, Migs; you may go, and I will contact you when we need to return," Allan said.

"All right, sir," he said as he walked away.

Allan drew her close to his body, assisting her in walking because she was still blindfolded.

"I don't want to fall, can you please remove the blindfold?" she asked, terrified that she would injure herself because she couldn't see where she was going.

"Don't worry, sweetie, I've got you and I'm not going to let you fall," he assured her. He led her into the woods, sensing her nervousness and his own because he was afraid she wouldn't like it.

"You still haven't told me where you're taking me," she complained.

"Just trust me," he said again, and they arrived at the location where he had planned his surprise. Althea felt his chest against her back and his lips close to her ears as he said she could remove the blindfold. She slowly opened her eyes, stunned by the scene in front of her.

She is standing in the forest, and there is a house decorated with shining lights on her left, a beautiful lake on her right, and not far from the house is a hill with an amazing view of the town, as well as a bench where you can sit.

"I don't know what else to say; this is incredible."

"I figured you'd like it here," he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "But there's one more thing to see," Allan said.

"Is there anything else?" she inquired.

He moved his arms away from her waist and took her hand in his, leading her toward the last thing he wanted her to see.

When they arrived, she was astounded to see that he had prepared a picnic on the grass with blankets. A large whiteboard was lit up, and a small table next to it had a movie projector turned on.

"Come let us first go inside the house to warm up, then we can see the view on the hill, and finally we can watch a movie and have a picnic because I ruined our breakfast this morning, and I thought this would make up for it," he said as they walked inside the house for a few minutes.

Even though the house is small, it is very attractive. Allan picked up a blanket from the grass and wrapped it around his friend as they walked to the bench to take in the view.

"Look at this breathtaking view," she exclaimed.

"Wait until you see it at night, it's so much better," he replied.

"How did you find out about this place?" she inquired.

"I found it by accident, and when I saw it, I bought it; now it's one of my favorite places to go when I need a break from work and mafia business; no one knows about it except me, and now you know about it too because I wanted to share a place that means a lot to me with the person I love the most."

"Thank you for bringing me here," she said, realizing how much this place reminded her of the life she wished for.

"Since the night is approaching, let's finish this day with food and a movie."

"Sure, lead the way, and can I pick the movie?" she asked.

"Yeah, sweetie, it's your night," he said.

"You mean our night; after all, you didn't prepare it just for me to enjoy; it's for both of us, and I think this is all I needed to get away from everything that happened," she explained.

"You are correct," he agreed with his companion. They sat on the grass, and Allan opened the basket to get their food and wine bottle, while Althea chose the movie for them to watch.

Allan realized he had forgotten to give her the flowers, so he stood up and walked towards his car, opening the back door and taking the roses for her.

"Sweetie for you," he said, handing her a bouquet of red roses. Althea thanked him and took the bouquet from his grasp.

He sat down next to her and poured the wine into two glasses, one of which he handed to her to try.

"Do you like it?" Allan inquired.

"Hmm, well it's good," Amelia said, smiling at him.

"Let's finish the movie," Allan said, kissing her on the cheek and pulling her closer to his body, making sure they were both wrapped in blankets.
